I had gone there today with intentions of buying a freezer as mine was dying. I called first and spoke with Heather, who assured me, they did have one in my price range. When I looked and it she had not realized that it was not frost free. HOWEVER, one of the gentleman told her about it. But also there was a frost free one in another location on the lot. We looked at it, it was larger, and in great shape. I went inside and paid for it and it will be delivered tomorrow!All of the employees were very helpful and kind.

I was scheduled for a service call on a Friday. Because I had heard nothing from them, about 3:40 PM I called to see if I was on list. Got hung up on. Called back and they verified I was. No one ever called or showed. No one called me next business day to apologize. Wasted a entire day of my time and did not have repair before Mothers Day. Thats bad business. Only gave 1 star to post this. Should be zero stars.This edit is an update. Your reply is full of @#%&. Now I see that in your irresponsible replies to others. I went in last week to look at washers and Courtney greeted me, kinda, and asked me did I need anything. I told her no and i was going to just look around. Instead of going back behind the counter, Courtney stood in the row and watched me like a hawk as if I was going to steal something and try to run out the door. She made me feel super uncomfortable and after asking her did she need anything, I left. She really didnt get the clue that I was uncomfortable nor did she care.I called the downtown location and spoke with Earl, who was the general manager. He told me that she was just transferred from his store because she was having the same issue there. so why keep her on, I mean in this economy I know that people are hard to find but good grief.

When my business partner and I had appliances delivered to one of our properties, the delivery guys broke the concrete steps to the house. Lewies is refusing to acknowledge their fault and are refusing to make things right. Weve done business with them for years and this is how we are treated. Concrete stairs are not easy or cheap to fix. So be warned, these people will destroy your property and deny it costing you way more than buying appliances from an actual big name retailer. Id rather use an igloo cooler and hand wash ever thing before buying from these selfish and irresponsible jokers.

We bought several appliances today from Robin at Lewies outlet. She was the best. Very patient for someone indecisive like myself. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our appliances and the best part is we saved $2500 from what we would have paid at a big name appliance store.

Ive taken my appliances in need of repair to Lewis’s for years. They have always done great repairs at a reasonable price. I also bought a used refrigerator 6 years ago for my basement and a used stack washer and dryer for an apartment I rent out 5 years ago and I have had no problems with either one.

Aside from the sales person not knowing what was a standard sized washer and dryer everything was pretty great. I love my washer and dryer set. They retail for over $800 each and I barely paid $700 for the set and delivery. Have had them over a year no complaints. Great selection of appliances. Will definitely use them again.

As I am reading the responses to the customers from the owner or manager. It is appalling I always look at the reviews before getting or going anywhere. Thanks but no thanks I will go to the big box stores.

They have an O.K. selection to choose from but they want you to pay FULL PRICE for Scratch and Dent items!

I visited Lewies on September 4th due to rave reviews from several people I know that have purchased from this business. I bought a whirlpool washer and dryer set from the outlet. My set was delivered on the 8th. I probably have used it 3x if that. Here we are a week and a half later and the washer is not working. When I called Lewies I was told to call Whirlpool. Called them and they came out and the control panel is out. Wont even fill up! I called back to the store and Robin was extremely rude. Told me she bought a new car and it stopped working and shes not the manufacturer. Also lied to me and told me shes the supervisor. Here I am with a $1500 brand new set that I cant use and Im working from home with 2 kids. Ill be calling my attorney! Dont do business with these people! Im furious!

Went in today but was denied access because I had my 5 year old with me, even though he has a medical grade mask on. Really disappointed. The one star is for at least being open and recognizing you’re needed by the community.

After having a horrible time with the Samsung warranty people, we decided that our family of five had to have another washer. Being on a budget brought us to Lewie’s. Polite and friendly staff. Clean store and surroundings. They even tested the used washer we bought before adeptly helping us load it in our truck. Everyone was informative and helpful. We will definitely do business here again.

The appliances are noth used and new and are in very good condition. They are all a fraction of the price I have seen them anywhere else! The staff is extremely nice and helpful. Website says reconditioned washers starting at $169! Reconditioned dryers starting at $169! But thats a lie. Cheapest in the store is $269. Dont go if you saw that and wanted something at that price. Misleading advertising.

Its okay. The customer service needs some work and theres not a whole lot to choose from at this location. I would suggest everyone try out Sears outlet in Hoover, they deliever within 50 miles. I live 23 miles away and the lady at Lewies said it was too far to deliever.

After receiving six referrals to Lewies, I went there at lunch one day from work. I found a nice refrigerator, paid, and was out the door in less than 30 minutes.The saleswoman was nice, and arranged for my delivery for the next business day.On the day of delivery,the delivery man called me to remind me, then took special efforts to deliver my refrigerator first, so that I would not have to leave work later in the day. Then,when they arrived, they were very efficient, polite and friendly. They plugged in the refrigerator and made sure it worked before they left. I would highly recommend Lewies to anyone needing appliances!!

I want everyone to know these guys went the extra mile for me . The thing I respect the most is they not only stand behind what they say they go even further. I was a month out of warranty and my dryer stopped heating because my apartment complex had stopped up vent system. That blew the safety fuse. They came out and fixed it a.s.a.p.. The only thing they asked is that I call my apartment maintenance to clean my vents so that the issue would not happen again. They also explained why it is so important that the vent on my dryer is kept clean. A dirty vent is a fire hazard and that fuse is there to prevent lint fires from burning my apartment down. So once again thanks for comming out and fixing my problem even though you didnt have to. Im a single father with two daughters and I just thank this company for actually being human beings that care. The last thing I want everyone to know it they also explained to me that even way after any warranty ends they will still come and repair anything I purchased from them for a fraction of the normal cost because they value me as a customer. I never in my life heard of a company that sells used appliances doing this. The last company I purchased my washer from gave me 30 days and that was it. I honestly dont know how this company can do what they do when all I paid for my dryer was 140 dollars in the first place.. Final review is that I am not longer just a customer of this company. Went to purchase a used clothes dryer, had one picked out. When they plugged it in to test, my salesman didnt like the way it was running, so he found a similar, slightly newer one for me at the same price. Terrific selection of brands and ages, excellent prices.

Raggedy huge, no ice maker working Kitchen Aide Fridge I paid 330.00 for with the 60.00 delivery fee 17 minutes away, only lasted 8 months. Only being plugged in and basically not opened because I work in New York and never home. 3 days a month Im home. It was sad for me to come home after being gone and throw my food away because the refrigerator isnt working. The manager on 9/13/2018 at 9:30 am, told me it would be a $55 service fee and no more than 125.00 to attempt to fix the problem..... additional money!!!!! This is really say, they almost tore my door up getting the refrigerator in my home and it was nasty, not clean at all and my sales lady promised me it will be clean. I feel I have been scammed with this and I have only open that refrigerator door less than 25 times because I am only here 3 days out of the month this is really sad!! I will not purchase anything else from them ever!!!!!

I purchased a new scratch and dent dish washer for almost 50 percent off . Has full factory warranty. I honestly can not find a scratch or a dent on it. Good deal. I will go back again in future.

I purchased a new Samsung washer and dryer from Lewies. The next day, found the same W and D at Home Depot for the same price but home depot does not charge the 45.00 delivery fee. I called and after a discussion, I decided to stay with Lewies. Today, I discovered that the installers did not hook up the hose to allow the steam to work on the 600.00 dryer. The hose is gone now. My advice is that if you are not purchasing a used W&D go somewhere else. The customer service stinks. I just pray that I NEVER have to call them again. Not even for a repair or question! They are very uncaring and I am extremely unhappy.The bad review is in relation to not hooking up the dryer correctly. Then the terrible customer service after delivery. I just wanted you to install the hose to the dryer! I paid for installation.!

I bought a stainless steel stove the week of Thanksgiving. So they deliver the day before thanksgiving. I wasnt home My husband was. He called me cause he said the guys told him they were going to the truck to get tools to pryer it between the cabinets. When they leave out. They leave with the stove in the middle of the floor. So I get home shortly and its white. So I call them to come pick it back up. They said they couldnt the routes were big but they would handle it. So Im like its the day before thanksgiving I need to cook. The lady, Deanna, was like thats fine cause its our fault. So Im calling daily with no one returning my calls. So I call Friday.... with an attitude at this point. They tell me they not coming to get it cause I used it.... Im like bs. Where is the manager. They say he not taking calls leave a message. I said I been leaving messages for over a week now, Ill hold. She tells me ok but he not coming. I said well tell him Im holding anyway. Stayed on hold bout 15 minutes. By this time Im about to pass by on my way to work so I stop by . As I had done twice this week already. So they tell me he not taking visits. I tell them well Im not leaving until l speak with him . he comes out 10 minutes later. Like he dont know whats going on. So I explain everything to him so he says its nothing he can do because I shouldnt have accepted it. I explain to him it wasnt me that accepted it. I show him my receipt which clearly states stainless steel. He tells me but the model number ends in W which means its white. Im like so ..... I dont know they Im not in this business. By color it has stainless steel, he then says you used it now so we still cant... Im like who said I used it. He tells me one of my workers. I tell him LIES. Ive been speaking to the same person every time, the white lady. If she told you that have her say that in front of me..... he gone say no need for all that.... Ill give you store credit and the only other stainless steel was $500 and I would need to pay the difference. Im like shid, it should be complimentary due to the hassle . Needless to say he finally sent a truck to pick it back up and refunded my money. But a week a 2 days for that response was way too long. Not to mention the customer service. I am very disappointed as I am a long time customer of Lewis

Got a new washer dryer from this place for 40% off msrp bc it had a scratch or dent somewhere. After delivery I discovered that the dryer would not work bc I couldnt open the dryer door. After calling them about it, they had me come in, and happily swapped it out for another that fits perfectly the same day. Excellent service, and amazing products for the price. Will absolutely recommend this place to any friends looking for appliances in the future.

When you call, make sure youre talking to the right people. The first time I called, a woman answered and basically told me I was out of luck with my dryer. But when I called again, my issues were resolved. So in the end, Im a satisfied customer. If you feel like youre getting treated poorly, ask to speak to someone else.

Lewies is awesome. Myself and other family have bought several appliances from them over the years. I just bought a dryer and the fuse blew so they sent repairman out and fixed it. I was told my vent ductwork is stopped up so I blew it out with leaf blower which got a lot of lint out. I hooked it up and the fuse blew again. They came out tested my vent and told me it is still not venting well and told me how to fix it. They brought me a new dryer the same day I called them. I highly recommend them. 1st class operation who truly cares about the customer.

The refrigerator lasts 3 months, just long enough for their warranty to expire. if they replace your refrigerator within the 3 months, which will be the case,, be sure to get new paperwork because they will not tell you anything.when the next one breaks down 2 months later!! My husband and I bought a refrigerator at Lewies, the ice/water hose did not match up so we had to purchase a hose. Upon installation and turning the water on a valve had a big leak. We called and made an appointment for it to be repaired (we only had it one day) we was given a time of between 10-4. At 4 we had received no phone call or no repair work. We called Lewies and spoke to Gary who was very rude from the beginning, he proceeded to tell us the appointment had been rescheduled (but not by us), only later to tell the repairman worked on a refrigerator and reported the wrong name to later find out he didnt repair our appliance, so the repair tech took it upon himself to change the appointment without calling and asking if the following day was available for us. Gary advised us to just buy bag ice like I do even though we were sold something to be in working condition. We ended up having to fix the ice maker/water ourselves.

Looks like they sell alot. When I was there I could not believe the traffic going through that place. I figure they must be doing something right. I can even understand if every once 8n a while a machine might have a problem. They sell so many. I have never heard of them not honoring their warranty. I dont know how they can do what they do but I know they do. I did have an issue with a machine I purchased once and they came out next day and fixed it.. thats awsome. I purchased a new frigid aire range a couple of years ago and it took frigidaire 3 weeks to fix my problem. I will always recommend Lewis appliance.

Products break very quickly. I tried to get a dryer fixed-broken belt. Their tech put the belt on wrong and it snapped. I was told It would be around $150 to replace the belt by another tech. I questioned the $35 cost for the belt as most are around $10 and he said We use the same kind of belt in all of our ovens. Really? Bad bad place.

I only had my refrigerator only two months and its not cooling,all my meat has went bad, I have a 90 day warranty on it but lewies tell me I have to pay for them to come out and service it and still have to wait 3 more days until they can do that. I came to this place because of a great review but I hate I listened to the person never again, I basically paid them almost $600 for two months worth of use.

Im giving 5 stars,two months ago I would have said 2 stars for this company because I had a couple of issues with one of my machines. They came out three times on one of my appliances. The second time I called them about my dryer they offered to give me another dryer since I had issues. I didnt want machines being brought in and out of my apartment again. I told them, I like my dryer I just want it fixed. They kept telling me my vent was clogged going outside and my apartment maintenance said that my vent was good. I finally told them I wanted my money back. They said sure but they could not return the delivery fee. I went to another place and bought a dryer. Two days later the same thing happened. It quit heating. I gave up on trying to get that guy to come out and fix it. He avoided all my calls. At least lewies was there the next day every time I called. I gave up and went to Lowes and purchased a new dryer. They took about a week to deliver it and after I had it for two days. It also stopped heating. ALABAMA POWER came out to do the repair and told me the problem with my dryer is that my vent going outside is clogged and thats why the dryer quit working. I felt stupid for spending so much money on a new dryer after lewies tried to tell me what the problem was. I started looking on lewies website after all this, that I had been through, just out of curiosity, and found they had the exact same dryer new, in the scratch and dent section for $300.00 dollars less with a full factory warranty. Im giving them 5 stars because they delivered all my machines next day and when I had a problem they honored the warranty and came out the next day to repair. They diagnosed the problem correctly and informed me that the issue was not with the machine. They also explained how to solve the problem but I failed to believe them over my maintenance guy. Then after dealing with another used appliance company I found out fast that some of them cant be trusted at all. Then after getting a new machine I found out lewies also had the same new machine much cheaper. I actually started to angry at lewies for my mistake. The more i found out more information, it was like someone rubbing salt in a wound. I had a good dryer to start with for 150 dollars with a warranty. After the time I lost at work and the money I spent with other people it made me see that lewies is a good company to purchase from. After some of the words I used when dealing with the sales staff I felt obligated to be a man and give this company its dues. By the way the washing machine I purchased when I got the dryer is still working good except for the time I thought it was leaking and later found out it was my water heater in the closet

As of today....they get 2 stars! I bought a washer last Thursday and Ive had problems with it since it was delivered. Spinner doesnt spin so Im wringing out clothes so I can dry them, then the repair man came back (2nd time) to tell me that the transmission is out which yet again means I cant wash clothes! Im glad is under warranty BUT why put something on the floor not knowing if its at 100% worth buying.I went there because I have family members who have bought from them and they have had no real probelms, but from day one Ive had issues :-( and what makes this even more sad is all that was wrong with mine original washer was a jammed knob so u couldnt set the washer! Now Im out as washer, I paid over $250 and I still cant wash clothes

I had this company send someone out to check my dryer. He told me it needed a heating element but they didnt have it so they had to order it. He explained it was going to be 7-10 business days, which I was ok with. On the 11th business day I call him at 8am to check on the status of the part he told me there was a shipment that came in yesterday and he has go and check it out and he would call me back. 530pm today I call him since I never get a call back and he says Im sure it came in Ill come by to fix it Saturday, 2 days from now when I already have been waiting for 2 weeks. This is not good customer service. My home warranty referred me to this company Ill make sure to let them know not to referre this company again

Had the washer for a little over 3 months and it stopped rinsing and spinning, checked the lid switch connector and apparently it was 2 different switches that had been tied and taped together.... unprofessional and sloppy. I mean you cant afford a $12 switch?

Called Lewis appliance and the lady that answered said they were receiving washers, drove 45 mins out of my way before work to be told by the lady at the desk that their inventory was full, not to mention it was suppose to pour down rain and if I would have went back home and dropped it off I would have been late for work. Now I have a washer thats been rained on so its probably ruined. I did buy a dry from Lewis a few years back and I think it worked for about a year and quit drying. Employees there need to get on the same page.

The only thing keeping them getting a5 star rating is I think they should give a discount if youre buying a set of appliances (i.e.washer & dryer).
