I couldn’t thank Captain Kathan enough, My friends and I had such a blast and cant count how many fish we caught!!! They knew exactly where the fish were and they were on fire today!! I highly recommend booking these guys. They had all the gear we needed and it was all top notch. We will definitely be back again! Thank you Double Ace, you helped my friends and I make memories that will last a lifetime! We laughed all day long!!
Never a dull time with this crew, the fishing is on fire right about this time. And captain Allen will definitely put you on them.
Great fishing and excellent service! Guaranteed to have a great time with this crew
Great experience. Very professional and really knows what they are doing
We had the most amazing day with these guys. Capt Austin and Jimmy are the best. My family had the best trip and we by far recommend them. We caught so many fish and they were by far willing to be sure our day was great... it was amazing!!!!!!
Jimmy and Austin were great. Answered any questions I had and was super friendly to my group of 6. We ended up with 8 red fish and about 50 mackerel; they fileted all of them for us. Great trip and great crew.
We booked a Red Snapper trip for July to celebrate my husbands birthday. We had a group of 6 and had a great time. For a few of us it was our first charter trip and it was fun. I get that the experience of a good charter depends on how good the fish are biting, but we had knowledge and luck on our side for our trip.Austin is a man if few words, but he is good at what he does. We came out on a Saturday morning for our charter, but he was hesitant I take us out. A storm had brewed up and the place he wanted to take us fishing was in the heart of the storm. Instead of putting us into harms way or giving us a substandard trip, he rebooked us for the following morning. As disappointing as that was, it was worth the wait. We had an excellent morning catching red snapper and then trolling for other fish. We limited out on red snapper and walked away with a good amount of fish.Im new to the world of charter fishing trips, so Ill share what I think newbies would like to know as well. The BoatThe boat is an older boat, but is in good shape. They have a hull with a small bathroom and some seating. Youll rather sit on the sides or the box to get the full experience. The PeopleAustin is the boat captain and the keeper of where the fish are. He is good at finding the fish you want and moving as needed. He is quiet and young, but he knows what he is doing. His deckhand our day was Cody and he was very nice. He helped us with rods, baiting the hooks, using a net to get the fish in the boat, and then storing the fish. He also filleted the fish and bagged them once we got back to the dock. The TripFor a snapper trip we traveled 1.5 hours out to find a good spot. Worth the trip. It was nice in the morning and we enjoyed the views. We got a little rain, but nothing dangerous. As a whole, the trip out and it was good.I highly recommend Austin and Double Ace charters. We had a good day with him.
Austin Fox took us out for a 6 hour snapper trip. My wife set up the trip and we went with a few of my friends. The trip was reasonably priced and I had a very good time. We caught our limit of snapper, but still had an extra 45 minutes to kill on our 6 hour charter, so we went close to horn island and fished some more before heading back to the marina. I had a great time. Austin did a good job of finding fish for us, and his deckhand Cody did a good job of making sure everyone had what they needed to catch fish.
Me & my husband take 2 trips a year at least with Captain Austin on the Double Aces. He & his crew are awesome. He always gets us on the fish & never been disappointed. Had a wonderful day today catching those bull reds. Wish I could post pictures. 5/12/18
Had an awesome trip with Austin and Cody. Guys worked hard to get us on the fish. Highly recommend them and plan on booking a snapper trip with them next year. Loads of fun and very courteous and professional.
The trip with captain Austin was less than what I was expecting to say the least! I have done three trips with two other captains before this one and always came back impressed. My normal charter I go out with had mechanical problems so I had to find another for this trip.First thing in the morning he did not even introduce himself. He basically got the boat started and asked if we were ready. We were there early before him. From there it got worse. He pulled out of the dock and went about 300 to 400 yards and dropped anchor. We fished there for about an hour and caught a couple small croker and two very small sea trout.Next he pulled up to the bridge pier and had us get-out of the boat and fish off the pier. After about an hour and catching three catfish he told us to get back in the boat and we proceeded to go right back where we started fishing at.It seemed as if he didnt want to be out at all and was not going to go to far from the dock.I know he had issues with his boat the day before but said he had it fixed. He told me that is his normal inshore fishing trip. I told him that all the trips we had gone on before had taken us out at least 5 - 6 miles .I understand you cannot make the fish bite but you have to at least get to where the fish are!If you are looking for a charter I would highly recommend looking elsewhere.I am very disappointed as this fishing trip is usually the highlight of our getaway.
Had a blast with the crew on Double Ace! We limited out on snapper and even caught a few cobia!! Highly recommend and will be back soon to fish with them again!
Had an awesome time caught some nice fish
