I just had the most terrible experience with Independent Cab. I politely called to book a cab and the guy on the phone bullied me about why I wouldnt just take the bus?! I didnt feel like I owed him an explanation but being a single woman alone at night, I personally didnt feel safe as I knew I would be coming back home late and simply preferred to take a cab. I was also hauling a bunch of sheets and blankets to a friends house. Unbelievable. The nerve. Im so offended. Never Never trust this company.

I was picked up by cab 1126 and he was rude from the beginning. He passed me and my sons up and this other cab driver made him take us. When I got in the cab, I was trying to figure out if I had to download an app or see if I had to add my address to the tablet machine inside the cab, so when I touched it, he yelled at me to not touch it. Yes he yelled. He told me the price was going to be $19 and when I repeated the price and stated that I was just going around the corner, he yelled the price to me again. When I got home and when it was time for me to pay, he had the nerve to ask me to pay a tip. I told him no and I couldn’t at this time so he got upset and threw my suitcase in the gutter. Yes it was water there too. This is why it’s better to use Lyft. The prices are better and they actually earn their tips.

I wasnt able to get Uber or Lyft apps to work on my phone, a normal thing, so I called a taxi and this particular one would not come out unless I reserved it by calling a different number. Problem was I was stranded in the middle of no where with no pen or paper to write anything down and to make matters worse I had 4% battery. I even told the male operator that and basically begged him to send a cab out but he just hung up... pretty rude. I will never use a taxi service ever again especially Independent Taxi. I was lucky because I eventually made it home however I can only imagine others who still have not....

They waisted my time never came on time when I requested for supported time now they said nope we not coming i had to walk to my destiny as ya are

Rude and unprofessional dispatcher. I called on behalf of an elderly lady who did not have a phone. He heard me ask her for her name and said We dont do third party calls. I mentioned that I would be waiting with her for the cab and he replied with a snide Oh but you wont.Condescending and presumptuous. She was an older lady with a cane, I absolutely made sure she got in her cab safely. In retrospect, I understand the purpose of policy, they dont want to deal with possible flakes, but there are better ways to state these things. Something along the lines of Due to unfortunate past experiences, our company has a strict policy... so on and so forth.Old fashioned cabs are becoming obsolete. The remaining companies should put effort in delaying their eventual demise. Good customer service goes a long way.

Was just assaulted by one of their taxi drivers, called a f*ggot repeatedly, then he tried to fight me; all because he didnt want to accept a credit card. Then he got into it with another guy in the parking lot. Upon calling the company to complain, they tried to say they couldnt look up one of their taxis by licence plate. What a nice visit to LA from Canada this was!

Come on you can do better. My kids are not happy with your service.

Be ware. The rep said its a flat rate of $46.50 to apo, but the meter said $55.50. The driver tried to charge me the $55.50, but I stood firm that the rep said its a flat rate. Otherwise, he was friendly and it was good service.Lately Ive been experiencing drivers from other companies stop at destination, not stopping the meter and charging me a little extra.There was another cab driver (diff company) charging me $34-something because they had road blocks and it didnt even show on the meter. Normally it wouldve been less than $10. Worst example of dishonest taxi drivers.

Nearly got smashed in my own lane by driver of cab 1184 today. He was driving with 2 ear buds in, completely oblivious to everything else around him. He then proceeded to give me the middle finger, which I returned in kind, at least 20 times over the subsequent 2-3 miles. Included in this was him driving with NO HANDS ON THE WHEEL to free them up for a double middle finger. As he passed me one time he swerved into my lane with no turn signal, then brake checked me and proceeded to attempt to get me to rear end him. The last point of experience was I saw him preparing to throw something into my vehicle as I passed him, which I rolled my window up and would not again engage him in such wreckless behavior.I would never, EVER, call this cab company after something like this.

Waited for 20 minutes after requesting a cab that they said would arrive in 10-15 before I called back. Afterwards they said its be another 10! Ive been waiting for 30 now and still no cab. Obscene. Take your money somewhere else.

Totally mean female dispatcher. She was very impatient when I couldnt tell her if I was at a home, hotel, store etc. I was at a place that charges folks to do their work there as well as network with other mostly millenials. Not sure what its called since I was there for a conference and not as a member. She told me the cab would arrive in 5-15 min. Two other people ordered Ubers at the same time. Their rides came within 3 mins. Finally after 25 min went by I called an Uber. It arrived in 2 min. I called Independent Cab to tell them to cancel. Then 15 mins later they called to ask if I was still waiting for a cab. I started by saying: I called.... And before I could finish saying that I called and cancelled she hung up on me. How does a business like theirs possibly survive?

Kept hanging up on meRefused to send a cab to Santa Monica & la cienaga without a building number.IM NOT FROM HERE IDIOT. when a cab finally showed. some random dudr jumps in as im walking up. The guy tries to tell me he called for the cab, and the cab driver tried to play dumb like he didnt know who he was supposed to pick up. The pickup name was clearly a girls name. Call the company to explain what happened and they told me it would be another 20 to 25 minute wait on another car.. i walked

Spoke to a rep who stated that he was sending a driver to me. Waited 30 minutes and called back to get a rude lady on the phone stating that there was no one on their way ! This is why people uber instead of taking cabs, very unprofessional.

Customer service sucks! Use uber or lyft Im convinced they only hire retards here!

If I could score this cab company less than a 1, I would . The woman who answered the phone, had a bad attitude almost from the start of the conversation. I asked about a pick up. That was ok. I asked about the price of the trip. She began to take an immediate attitude. She stated I cant give you a price. Only an estimate I said what is the estimated cost She started to raise her voice with me. It was at this point, I told her to forgot about it.

Cab service is very rude, HATES people with disabilities, especially the dispatchers. They are so uneducated, and unprofessional, you know they barely made it out of the ghetto.

Horrible experience! Got hung up by the first person that answered me. Then the second person started raising his voice for no reason. Very unprofessional.
