Im a single nurse and a Mom to one teen, and dating apps have always scared me. Its so easy to meet a bad seed...yes I watch ID TV I must admit. I drove down and sat with a team of 4-5 female matchmakers and was asked intriguing questions for about an hour. We talked about men in terms of profession, the age range I was comfortable dating, ethnicities, religion, education, it was like a job interview for my personal life. I felt very at ease chatting as we were all the same age range and they were beautiful too. I was surprised at the amount of time and detail they gave me -and at no cost. I guess guys pay, thats their model. I showed them 3 pics of my exs and they started making suggestions as to who they thought would suffice and said theyd be in touch. I said yes to the first guy they called with and we had a great dinner. The second call lived out of state but I was willing to try. Im 40, he was 56 in finance. We flew to each other every other weekend 5-6x and then met in Hawaii. I just knew then that we were the right match and 5 months later, were all living together and I couldnt be happier. I went to the agency to meet someone to fall in love. I gave my pictures and have told them Im looking for a boyfriend my age or slightly older. Im 19 years old and I study in USC. I told the girl who took my application I would be comfortable dating someone whos in range 19-29 maximum and she said of course, dont worry. We will take care of you. I went home and next day got a call from a man who introduced himself as a client of MQI. He offered me to go to a dinner and I have agreed. I didnt ask his age. Just name - Michael. He said hes staying at a hotel and told me its easier to meet him there at the restaurant. I didnt think much and went there. I sat at the table, ordered a cola (I dont drink). At 8 pm an old man approached my table and introduced himself as Michael. I was in shock. He was clearly over 55! I do know I STATED clearly what I was looking for to Model Quality Introductions. It seemed horrible they didnt care about my feelings. Of course I wasnt rude to Michael so I said hi and he sat at my table. I asked him how old he was. He said 63. It was a nightmare. I asked him if he just joined the agency. Next, he said he joined agency long time ago and he always dates whoever he wants. I didnt quite understand but I decided to not pay attention. I was just trying to find a way to end this date from hell. Next he ordered a bottle of wine. (Yes he knew Im 19) and they brought me a glass. I didnt drink so it just stood there. Michael drank wine and then asked me when I had a boyfriend last. I said it was 4 months ago. He answered that I must need sex because its been too long for me without a man. It was pretty rude but I just kept quiet. Then he said I need to see his new book he just wrote and told me to come over with him upstairs. I obviously declined. I wasnt comfortable going with a stranger to his room. He got REALLY upset. He told me if I need to date a man I need to suck it up and be a good girl. Next thing I know he was telling me that he f%#^ whoever he wants and one dumb girl less doesnt make him sad. He said I lost opportunity and he will call agency and tell them I was crazy and absolutely a bad date. He said he paid them 20,000 usd to be a member and he can date different woman each day. And that Im probably lose down there. I was in shock. I was humiliated. I was embarrassed and I just ran out of there in tears. I couldnt believe what just happened. Next day I called girl in MQI and told her the story. She said shes sorry that this has happened to me and that I need to behave myself better next time. (What??) we needed on a positive note (as it seemed at the time) and next day I received another call from another client of theirs. He introduced himself and told me he liked my pictures and would like to meet me at 9pm for a quick drink. I (having already bad experience with this agency) asked him his age. He was 54. 54! They absolutely didnt care I am 19. And this man is older than my father and I specifically asked to be introduced to young men in 19-29 age group. They lied to me just to get me to sign up and offer me like a piece of meat to older men. I called the girl at the agency again. She was rude this time and told me I need to reconsider my desires and that young men are not going to date me. She told me she showed my pictures to 3 guys in my desired range and they didnt want to date me. I doubt that was true. She and the man who owns the agency just run the joint where they lied to me to get me to go on date with these ancient men and those men hoped to get me drunk and get me in their room. Disgusting people.
