I reserved a recreational vehicle well in advance only for you guys to tell me you did not have one available less than a day before the trip when I didnt have time to look for another vehicle. It was a disappointment and the staff in the office I went to didnt seem to have a solution. I am not even sure if the vehicle was really not available. There were two vehicles in the lot but they said both needed work. Finally it was a major hassle not to be able to leave my car at the lot. I was told because of liability issues the car could not be left there. As if they could not have a waiver for the customer to sign accepting liability. So I had to Uber quite a distance. If it werent for the particular vehicle I would have chosen a different rental much closer to my location. So by failing to provide the vehicle you I had reserved you first caused my friends kid to be super bummed (expecting a Jeep) and also you made me commute more and pay to go there back and forth. How would you rate this experience?

Ive rented from this location in the past. Even with a shortage of cars, I had one when I arrived, and was told that I could swap it out at my convenience for one that was more suitable
Booked a pre-paid car rental through Chase Travel and arrived at the Avis Beverly Hills location to be told the rental was not paid for. Spent over 2 hours on the phone with Chase Travel in their waiting area, whose agent had to call the Avis billing department only to be put on hold for extended periods of time. I ended up having to pay for the PRE-PAID rental in cash, and Avis continued to charge my card despite Chase Travels instruction to charge Chase for this rental. Spent 3 days just to get this refunded through Chase as the Avis call center agents were completely unhelpful. Unbelievably incompetent. Shame on Avis.
STILL WAITING FOR A REFUND FROM A CANCELLED RESERVATION!I made a reservation online, but called to cancel before the pickup time and requested that a cancellation email be sent to me. Despite this, Avis did not provide me with a cancellation email and still charged $130 from my account (even though I did not prepay for my reservation). I called the Beverly Hills location and an employee informed me that it was cancelled and the charges should have never gone through. He told me he would get his manager to contact me the next day and provide me with the cancellation notice but no one ever did and it has been two weeks.They rep at the location also provided me with a reservation hotline I could call to get the charges resolved. I spoke to a specialist who provided me with a case number and informed me that I would be receiving a refund in 3-5 business days. Its been almost two weeks and I have yet to receive anything. Ive made several attempts to contact them but no one is willing to address my situation nor answer the phone.I can understand being charged for a prepaid reservation, but this was NOT a prepaid reservation and I was still charged. Horrible service considering I cancelled a reservation before the pickup time and they still charged me. I WILL NEVER RENT FROM AVIS AGAIN!
When I showed up to the lot first thing Monday morning, they had about 3 cars to choose from, non of which were what I selected online, ok fine. So then the car that I did choose reeked of cigarettes, which is amazing too smell as a non smoker whose driving for 18 hours. Tried afterwards multiple times to reach the manager but apparently hes never in, great. Definitely never recommending them.
Agents were very nice, and the prices very good.
The staff did not offer to inspect the vehicle with me to note any damage. They also didn’t advise me of damage to the front bumper. When I went back into the shop to let them know the car was past due for service and stated it needed an oil change, they acted like I was stupid. Only going back to return the car, and then never again.
Booked a pickup for a weekend, less than 12 hours before they call to cancel. There inventory doesn’t work,.. so no help and I’m told to call corporate to get a different location - 45min later and 4 people explaining my situation they ran out of cars....Terrible experience and to top it off I prepaid and won’t be getting my refund for a week!!! BBB COMPLAINT coming next
We made a reservation online, came to the location, and were told that there are no cars available. So we asked them to cancel the reservation and we left. The lady said all is done. Now it’s been 1 months and they never gave us back the money for the car which they didn’t provide. When we called to the customer service, they told us the car was never canceled. I guess they just making money like this.Avoid renting cars with Avis!!!
Courtesy & excellent service every time. For those reasons, I followed Mr. Raj Singh & staff from downtown LA. Ive been to Avis at other locations, a couple of times I rented, ok experiences, the rest of the times, I just walked out. Dont see spending my $$ on so-so service or worse. Wilshire/Sta Monica is not exactly close by for me, but the service I receive each time makes it worthwhile. 👍👍😀
Aside from the car reserved not being available, the car given to me was dirty. Not that it hadn’t been cleaned, but the interior of the light colored seats were grossly stained. Someone’s used sanitizer bottle was left in between the seats. I felt very uncomfortable in the car.
Gotta be honest. Rental car companies usually suck and take forever to get me the damn car. But these guys were awesome. They were lightning fast and super chill and cool and funny and they got me in and out in a matter of minutes. Fantastic experience. So rare in this industry so I thought I should write about it. If you want to be ignored, treated rudely and wait needlessly, look no further than the Beverly Hills Avis location. They will help you with all three and more! Love the smell of smoke, they have your choice of vehicles, but for a small up charge you can get one that doesnt smell.Not to worry, there are multiple staff members there to laugh at each others jokes so you dont have to while you wait to be served. But seriously there were two staff members there when we arrived, we were the only customers and these two managed to ignore us for 5 minutes until a third staff member arrived, when they were suddenly able to drop everything and joke back and forth and talk about taking out the Jag while still ignoring us.When they did get around to serving us they took turns trying to find a way to up sell us to a different vehicle. After the run around we were finally taken to our pre-reserved vehicle to find out that it smelt like someone just smoked a pack of smokes in it. When we complained, the friendly staff were happy to offer an upgrade to another vehicle for a low fee of $8 per day. I politely declined to have to pay extra for a vehicle that didnt smell like an ashtray and we were moved to another vehicle but only after being subjected to another 6 minute joke session between staff members before they went to the computer to update our contract.Although the staff member got to review the contract twice due to the vehicle swap at no point in time did he tell us that they closed at 2pm sharp on the weekend even though our return time was 2pm on the contract. When we arrived at 2:03pm to drop our vehicle, there was still staff on site, and the lot was open, but there was no one able to accept our return. That staff member was friendly and helpful and called the staff member who had apparently just left the parking lot, but the only helpful suggestion they could come up with was pay for an extra day and return the car tomorrow or go to LAX to drop off the vehicle and pay extra for a multi-location drop and a late fee for a late drop. As were were leaving town that day our only option was the second.AVIS at LAX was helpful and friendly, unfortunately they had no power over the contract that was issued at Beverly Hills and claimed they have to impose the fees, and that if we waited 48 hours we could then talk to customer service to see if the fees could be reversed.To sum up, the staff was rude on pickup, the car was dirty and smelled of smoke, the attendant was more interested in up-selling than providing the car we had reserved. They paid little enough attention to us to even note that our return time was at the time they close, and to note that to us. While we did arrive at the site while a staff member was there, he was unauthorized to accept our vehicle, he called the staff member who had just left, but they were unwilling to attempt to help us, and the ONLY option given was to drive to LAX to drop the car off.Needless to say: We had the worst service we have EVER encountered while visiting the Beverly Hills AVIS location. Bad enough that, although we regularly rent from AVIS, we will likely be looking at other options for rentals in the future.

Originally booked from the one on westwood but they were out of cars so they bused us over to this one. They made it up and took $15 off for an uber. Great customer service. The car ran excellently and was really clean. Its within walking distance to rodeo drive which was pretty cool.
Called to ask a question about making a reservation, the clerk said if are not placing a reservation I cant help you and hung up! Who educated you?
The pickup and dropoff of the vehicle was very quick and easy. The location is well situated in relation to a number of hotels in the Beverly Hills area. Keep in mind that the location closes at 6PM, and does not offer after hours dropoff. The addition of after hours dropoff would be great, as there is practically no street parking near the hotels in BH, and overnight parking at most hotels is a minimum of $40.
