We loved working with Bettendorf Home Repair! They completed a full remodel of our master bathroom and bedroom. Lenny and his team brought our vision to life perfectly. The finished product looks straight out of a magazine. They were helpful every step of the way, from picking out materials to executing every detail. Despite setbacks due to COVID, they finished the job with excellence. The craftsmanship is of the highest quality and the team took great care with every detail. Everyone who works for Bettendorf Home Repair is trustworthy, professional, and kind! We had workers in our house for a good bit of time, and it was not a burden at all. We would recommend them for any job, big or small.

I have had BHR install new exterior doors, remodel our powder room and they are about to start our main bath remodel. I love working with Lenny, Beth, Karmen, Ian, Tom and all others I have dealt with. Lenny really knows what he is doing and he really cares about his customers. Projects feels like a partnership and I highly recommend them.

Quality of work was mediocre at best, communication was extremely horrible. A job that should have been done in less than two weeks took almost 3 months. When they said they were done I actually went over everything to make it complete. Honestly is something this company lacks profusely. They had no trouble cashing my check even after I voiced my concerns with everything!

Another great job by Bettendorf Home Repair. This was our third time having them do a project. They were always prompt, professional, clean and highly skilled. One of the workers came out to view my property and then about a week later, emailed me an estimate. Fine. Met at Bettendorf Home Repair’s office and gave them earnest money of $450.00 and scheduled a day to visit material places to get ideas for project. Fine.The office manager called me and cancelled on behalf of the worker the day we were supposed to go. I call 2 days later(btw the office manager/receptionist was pleasant throughout!) and leave a message for the same worker. No response. I then email the worker a pic of what I want done trying to make it easier, no response. 2 days later I call again and the office manager takes down another message. 6 days later, no call back. I call to cancel my project and get a refund on earnest money and was finally transferred to the worker I had been trying to reach out to.The worker was VERY nonchalant and didn’t even attempt to take accountability for his poor follow through. I kept it brief because all of this is going on while I’m working with people that are dying in hospice and have just lost one of my own close friends. The added stress from them is not welcomed.The project I wanted done was mostly for security so their unprofessionalism with me is only magnified at this point. The worker was on top of things when he was waiting for my earnest money, after that, was totally avoidant. I understand people get busy, over worked, etc. Communication makes all the difference though. I’m currently waiting for a call back AGAIN to get my refund.Update: The Manager called and was apologetic. I appreciate that. Also, I did receive a refund last week.

Bettendorf Home Repair just finished a bathroom for us and the experience was fantastic. Lenny helped us set our budget, then he assisted us with picking out all of the items so we could stay in budget. He worked with us to develop a contract, making sure that all of our items were detailed out then he ordered all of our materials and scheduled the project. When the materials arrived, his staff was very professional and friendly and completed our bathroom to a perfect quality! We are extremely satisfied with Lenny and his crew and will be using Bettendorf Home Repair for many more projects in the future. If you want a company that really cares about their customer, Lenny and his people are the ones to see! Thank you to all the guys who made our dream bathroom a reality!

Before I could begin to work with this company on a project that began with a simple question about code for a bath fan, the lady who answered the phone was a bit rude but importantly, short with me and seemed almost disinterested. Didnt even offer to look in to it and it felt as much of an awkward conversation could. Long story short, an $18k bathroom remodel went elsewhere.Update: Owner was semi-sympathetic in a particular staffs shortcomings. I wish them all the very best and unfortunately a particularly expensive bath remodel contract went elsewhere.

Called for an estimate on a small repair. No one returned my phone call. They must think theyre too special to repair something small. Dont recommend them at all.

I had two projects done with Bettendorf Home repair and the end product was just great. I think when you go through remodeling, you will always have a few bumps on the road but the owner, Lenny, has always been very good at working with me to make things perfect. This is a company who takes great pride in their work. i would highly recommend.

After having Bettendorf Home Repair at my house for an estimate on siding repair, it took nearly two months to receive an estimate. In that span of time, I called nearly every week asking for an update only to be given the run around. When I finally did receive the quote - $89,000! We’re not talking about a palatial estate here, we’re talking about a 2600 square foot, 2 story Victorian with a small garage. $18k for siding just the garage? I can literally build a new one for that much. If you didn’t want to do the job, you should have said “no bid”. Instead, you wasted my time, gave me the run around and then sent me this insult. Avoid this company at all costs.In violation of Google’s policies, some of the reviews appear to be written by employees and subcontractors of the company. Lenny has done several projects for me. Lenny is very detailed and provided an excellent product. We were very happy with our deck. Additionally he has provided quality work on everything from Cabinets, Doors, shelves, he can do it all and does it well.

These guys are awesome. We had them redo our main bathroom. Did a great job. Very polite workers. Very happy with the whole process.

I would give Lenny and BHR 6 stars if I could. This is an excellent company that we have hired to do multiple projects to our home. These projects have ranged from a window replacement to roofing work to a full bathroom addition. Lenny is a real professional with decades of experience and he goes out of his way to help his clients understand the many complexities of the construction process. Lenny takes the time to get to know his clients and he genuinely cares about them and their satisfaction. BHR is the first and only place that we will go for future home project needs and I look forward to working with them again.

They did a great job bring our old bathroom up to date, from floor to ceiling! Any problems that came up were dealt with immediately. I plan on this crew doing the kitchen next year!

This business does nice work but inadequate communication led to major misunderstanding as to what vanity top was wanted. Big reveal was a big disappointment. Owner reassured it could be resolved, but never got back to me other than to send the bill. Didnt pick up call or return voice mail. Responded to email and offered a compromise but in such a defensive, contentious manner, I thought it best to sever relationship. Follow-through on commitments is also a problem with this company, for example failing to get back to customer with answers to questions, not returning calls, failing to order samples, and not following through with change to order made by telephone.

Owner is top notch, works very hard and is super knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend BHR.

A company that doesn’t even call you back actually deserves 0 stars. Poor communication, poor customer service, terrible company. Don’t waste your time with these people.

I have worked with BHR in several projects through the last 10 years, and they always came through with great ideas, very high quality and professional work. I had a rental property in Davenport which I bought with a lot of repair work needed. BHR did a great job remodeling it, inside/out. I just sold it a few months ago at the price I asked for. I had 3 offers within 2 weeks of posting. Thanks to Lenny and BHR for his support throughout all these years... more work is coming in my own home and I would not trust it to anyone else.

Had them come give me an estimate for establish a fence. 3 other companies all have me there estimate right on the spot. These morons cant even call you back.

I know many of the guys that work there. They all take pride in their work and craftsmanship.

I was scheduled to have my counter top, sink and faucet installed on October 24th. On the day of my install, I had moved my pets, cleared the area and made sure to have my boyfriends credit card so I could pay that same day. However, the install didnt happen that day due to someone not ordering the counter top! I called BHR, several times, to get the re-schedule figured out. I was very upset that my job was not completed on that day, especially when I had setup this appointment over a month in advance.The install happened a week later and I again moved my pets and borrowed the credit card for payment. I was told I had to pay *on the day of the job*, otherwise Id be charged an additional $50 to be invoiced.No one collected payment on that day.I called three times after that, leaving messages on both the answering machine and with the receptionist. Though I didnt understand why I would be charged $50 to have a bill sent to me, I surely didnt want to pay the extra amount!I finally spoke with Lenny. I asked him if he could bring some extra caulk (I wanted a few areas gone over again - some of the caulk work was a little sloppy) when he came and collected the bill. When I did finally met up with him to settle my bill, he did not bring the caulk. During that visit, I asked him about an extra piece of counter top for the sides, at which point he said hed check on it and get back to me. To date, and despite a call I made myself to BHR a week after Lennys visit, I still have not received any info about this item.I feel that no one has been proactive in handling my issues. I have been the one to make all the calls. I shouldnt have to be the one to call and harass a company about work I need to have done. Ive been extremely frustrated with every aspect of the company; the way it handles billing/collecting payment and my calls arent being returned.I will not be doing any more business with your company; I do not have the time nor patience to deal with a company who seems not to care for their customers. I can only hope youre more attentive with your other customers than youve been with me.-------------Despite sending this letter, I never got a call or response from them. Would not recommend.
