I have used this postal office so many times, and didnt think of writing a review, until I saw so many negative reviews online... Well, yes, some employees needs improvement, but overall, they got things done! I never lost a package considering I have mailed so many packages in the past years. Last holiday season (2020), this office was so crowded due to Covid situation. I had a package mailed, and delivered in almost 4 weeks, but think about the workload for them probably tripled during that time...Sometimes, my package didnt get scanned when I mailed them, but was scanned somewhere along the way, and eventually got delivered. So not much complaint, and I know they will be delivered.The parking lot can be busy due to its next to Home Depot, and really not their fault, Home Depot Customers just park at the post office spaces. And they have to deal with all kinds of people: one time, I saw a Amazon driver insist to leave packages there because she thought she was asked to deliver there....

I always use this Post Office even though it is farther than my local PO because the staff are so courteous and professional. I went there on Thursday the 13th to mail three letters, registered/return receipt. and Ivor helped me. I told him that drove there because ALL the staff are always courteous and professional, and he didn’t let me down!!

Two Sundays in a row, the delivery person dropped all the boxes belong to the whole neighborhood in front of my door.First time I tried being the nice person giving them the benefit of doubt, maybe a long day maybe she didn’t pay attention, so I delivered all of the packages!Today! I got home, and guess what I saw!??? Packages belong to the whole neighborhood!Seriously now?

Our mail carrier is the nicest man. However the people there are very rude. I asked a simple question about my package and if they could do anything and a woman yelled at me and said they cant do anything about the package they have that has the wrong address. And one time a package was delivered there and they lost the package and said there was nothing they could do. And shrugged it off. Only reason I give it 3 stars is because of our nice mail carriers.

Awful service. Stopped delivering packages several months ago for no reason. I got the issue resolved after spending a lot of time trying to get in touch with someone. Then last week ago they once again stopped delivery of the mail. I have had trouble getting in touch with someone to resolve the issue. Would highly advise everyone to avoid this location and go to another one if you have an issue.

Stopped in to drop off a package on a Saturday morning. The agent was very friendly and cheerful. Very efficient with processing my order (I also purchased some stamps). Not sure why all the negative reviews, my experience was the exact opposite.

This review is for passport renewal service office only. The lady that has the Indian accent didnt seem to have enough knowledge doing her job obviously. We were renewing the passport for our kid the other day, and we are green card holders and needed to provide the green card for this process.. This woman told us Green card is not a valid id for this purpose because it is a temporary ID. Never heard that green card is a temporary ID. Besides that, we went to the state website and it clearly says the green card IS the valid ID for this purpose. If this staff needs to do this job, she has to be sent back to go over all the information careful and make sure she understands what she is doing. This is not some high tech job, BTW.Update on 7/6: Need to change the star to one. The reason is simple. Just called the State.gov, and they said in their system the date is AFTER we travel. This will jeopardize our trip.

I had to come by this office because the signature guarantee paper was left on the floor of my door. Not on the door with the sticky part but on the floor like someone just threw it on the floor. They didn’t knock on the door and I know this because my mom was there all day. Really best to avoid this place. Then I came by the office and everyone is so rude. Is like they just don’t want your business.

I use this post office for my business mailing. I ship on average 150-200 packages a week. The experience in this post office depends very much on the mood of the workers that day.Most of the time they are apathetic and some of them totally incompetent.I dont work for USPS, but on a few occasions I had to explain to them where to put the Express Mail packages and that Express mail travels separately. Well, the other day one of those I dont care workers managed to put my Express mail with the regular mail and now its nowhere to be found.On previous occasions they refused to give me a receipt, or even answer a work related question.That said, the Post Master at that location is one of the nicest and most helpful USPS workers I have worked with. He is always ready to help, goes out of his way to assist. This is the only reason I dont give 1-star rating, but 2.I wish USPS has a policy, where the workers who didnt do their job properly would be given a penalty fine, or even lose their jobs. This would definitely make them motivated to do their job.

Lost mails/packages and very inconsistent delivery reliability! The carrier changes often and many times mail items addressed to other folks are delivered to our home. There is a dire need to have proper training and quality assurance process. It almost appears that the carriers lose mails on purpose and/or deliver whenever they feel like to. What ever happened to rain or shine and being able to count on the postman.

The team behind the counter was very efficient compared to other post offices that I frequent. Ample parking, automated services. The man who helped me explained things I didn’t understand and was kind and not at all condescending. The other patrons, however, were pretty nasty. Probably they were not having the same positive experience as me.

I find it interesting to see poor reviews. I had a shipping issue and it resolved right away by the office manager. I ordered a weight set to be delivered and a USPS employee used a dolly to wheel it directly to my door which was nice of him because they could have left it in my apartment lobby. Overall, very pleased with how it the issue was resolved.

24-hour lobby with self service kiosk, scale & mailboxes. Quick courteous service. This PO has all the services including Passports and a separate Postal Store register separate from regular PO service register. Drive up mailboxes out front. Nice building & plenty of parking.

Its not a bad post office. The whole system is under stress with service reductions, employee loss, etc. So I cant judge some lack of service too harshly. Imagine in your own work when people are lost--everyone else is stretched further and tasked more. Things inevitably suffer some. But, by and large, this location is fine; not great, not bad but certainly adequate.

I had a clerk who told me 2 options for mailing my package. Both were higher than I expected. I asked if there was a cheaper option and he thought I said that I wanted the cheaper option. He rang it up and I asked how long it would take. When he said 5 to 7 days, I asked for the other one. He got angry, ripped off the sticker and told me in a loud voice that I needed to pay better attention. Meanwhile, he was talking to the clerk next to him the whole time and was the one who misunderstood me!

They have continuously lost my mail and attempted to forward it despite having no forward request. Any attempt to locate lost mail was met with we cant do anything about that. I have informed delivery that sends me photos of every mail piece to be delivered that day. They still lost the an important piece and refused to correct the mistake despite having proof that it was sorted, then lost. It is frustrating and there are no excuses.

AVOID. AVOID. AVOIDCompletely incapable of delivering packages to the right address. Not only do they fail to deliver my packages to my house, they dropped off my neighbors packages at my house on numerous occasions. Dont bother calling either because you will either not get through or will be put on hold for 30+ minutes after being asked for only your address. Upper management doesnt seem to care about the offices incompetence so dont expect any change at a lower level.I highly suggest getting packages sent to your work or basically any address outside this offices jurisdiction in order having to deal with this terribly unprofessional post office.

Im thankful they have a self serve option but it would be nice if those who are working to help answer patrons questions would be available to do so. Had one question while trying to purchase at the self service machine and the agent who was supposed to be available was too busy having a personal conversation to offer help. After standing and waiting to be acknowledged, I apologized for interrupting and asked my question. She looked annoyed and didnt bother to offer any assistance. Once her conversation about vacations was done, she went to help others in line. Not so helpful.

Had a change of service request in for a Saturday -- stopped delivering packages the week before and did not deliver them to the forwarding address. Phone number constantly busy -- not sure how they still have the only landline without call waiting. Perhaps one of their employees has been in an AOL chat room since 1998.

I wish I could add pictures. A package showed up completely ripped open. They are such thieves there. I’ve had so many things go missing. I’ve complained to management but, it doesn’t do any good. I’ve spoken with other customers in line there who have also lost things like their college children’s meds that weren’t even narcotic. I Ask everyone to send us things via FedEx or DHL or UPS. Westlake United States Postal Service is the worst !!!

I asked politely how to close an USPS box and the guy just answered: it is not my duty and turned away.When I said ironically Thanks for helping! the guy answered Thank you for nothing. Im filing a complain right now even if, reading all the bad reviews, I doubt they will improve the service.

I just went to send a package, and used the online calculator to enter the weight, length, height and depth. I chose the least expensive Priority 3 day type and put all the stamps on hoping for a quick drop off.No, it had to be weighed and the clerk informed me it would be $3 more.It turns out that if you take a package to the post office, the rates you carefully compute online do not in many cases apply, but they do not inform you of that.So if you want to get a big complicated hassle, wait in lines, deal with people who seemingly dont care and pay more than they advertise, go here.Otherwise get smart and go to UPS (in Staples) or FedEX a few doors down and save yourself the aggravation.

We run a small business. We regularly receive checks. Or should I say we regularly are supposed to receive checks. In the past 10 days we have only gotten mail delivery 5 times, meaning that one day was Sunday and four days were MISSED - no delivery came our way . Unfortunately there is no ZERO STAR setting or we would have chosen it!

2nd review:Awful service. This location doesn’t deliver the returned packages in time. This is my second time incident for the same issue. Tow years ago it took them four months to deliver a returned item to Nordstrom. This time I have been waiting for a return item to be delivered to AT&T since November 2020. The item still in transition. I cant get my refund until the item returned to the warehouse.1st review:No one answers any phone calls in this location. We were trying to reach any employee to set up a passport application appointment for minors. An appointment must be made and confirmed before showing up, however, how do I reserve an appointment if no one will answer any of my calls during working hours? I advise you to contact any other postal office if you do not want to waste your time.

Unfortunately Google wont allow me to give this post office a 0 star rating. Truth be told, thats what it should receive. Spoke with Mr. Montana regarding a change of address mail forwarding. Havent received mail in over 3 weeks in which he dismissed my claim and said it will just be more time before I get my mail. I told him I also know that Ive had mail returned to the senders in which he claims thats because the mail was incorrectly addressed. Already spoke with previous addresses post office in which they said they forwarded on the mail to the new post office. Mr. Montana was unwilling to help in any way, didnt believe my claims, wasnt willing to listen to anything I had to say, argued with me, and claimed that the person I spoke with at the previous post office didnt exist.

I went here to apply for a passport. I told the lady that I was traveling in about a month and need it expedited. She told me that it wasnt necessary to get it expedited, just check with the Dept of State in two weeks and if it isnt ready, I can get the process sped up. Well apparently that isnt the case. Here I am, supposed to travel in two weeks and the Dept of State told me it will be another 3-4 weeks before it will be mailed and there is nothing they can do. I called the post office to complain and the lady denies giving me that information which is weird because I went in there WANTING to get it expedited... she told me not to. Now Im screwed because Ive already paid for this vacation and Im not going to be able to go. Thank you lady, you cost me over a thousand dollars because you suck at your job.

The person at this post office was very helpful, locating a package of which delivery had failed. The delivery person was incompetent. It took a couple of calls to track it down, but when I reached this office, the situation was resolved. The person to whom we talked found the package and said it would be delivered on the next delivery day.

I called several times to report a mailbox for which they are responsible (has their number on it) was unable to accept mail because something is jammed in the slot. The mailbox has been unusable for several days, but whenever I call, there is no answer -- not even voice mail after 30 rings. Why bother posting the number??

I asked them a few question about which box I can use and my god They cant answer a question without giving you the NASTIEST attitudes. I am temporarily staying on the NIH campus and have never in my life encountered such horrible postal service. Of the three packages I had coming to me, only one ever made it to NIH. All three had tracking numbers and when I went into the post office to find out what happened to the ones I was missing, they said they had no clue and there was nothing they could do. Fortunately, the person who had sent the package had insurance on the items. I feel that the postal service should be held responsible for lost packages, especially ones they dont bother to scan when they have tracking numbers. Maybe if they were held responsible they wouldnt provide such crappy service. It just really astonishes me how poor the service is ere in Bethesda. Living in Colorado and California I never had an item lost and the postal workers were polite and helpful whenever we had to call or go into the office. I never understood how the Postal Service could be going bankrupt, but after this experience I have a much clearer understanding.

I put one start because there was no start option. I have lived in the same address for almost 3 years and the person that delivers the mail always claims to have tried to deliver my packages and always returns it to the senders even if the date to pick it up says tomorrow. They return the packages even without attempting delivery.

I moved and have had to go to this post office a number of times to obtain my mail even though a forwarding order is in place. What is MOST frustrating is the disrespect Teresa levels upon me any time I ask a question. A majority, not all, of the front desk team ONLY want to sell stamps or postage, so when you ask a question regarding mail delivery, out comes Teresa to berate you and tell you its Central Processings fault.Can you imagine her surprise when a colleague produced a BOX of my mail that was sitting in the back. A months-worth of mail - bills, notices, my car registration, just to name a few items. Teresa was not apologetic and when I went back to obtain more mail because I am still not receiving mail at my new address, she came out, sees me and starts lecturing me that shes already wasted enough time with me and asked me if I was dumb. By the way, another colleague found a stack of mail in the back.This location is making me lose complete faith in our postal service and by the way, after see her last, I am suddenly not receiving mail ADDRESSED TO MY NEW ADDRESS and its being returned with not at this address. Sigh.

Ive never had so many packages not arrive at their destination. Returned 3 items that I purchased on Amazon a few months ago, and I just received emails from each one that my refund was being revoked because they never received the product. Also mailed a gift that never reached its destination. All of these packages had return addresses too, but I never saw them again.

This particular location and the staff that have helped me countless times deserve a ton of praises. Unlike the stereotype about the post office, the staff at this location are extremely helpful and friendly. They have gone above and beyond to either get me a specific box from the back for free, wrong labels, missing tapes, or address my questions or concerns without any hesitation. I come in and always get greeted with smiles and energy. Good people all around.
