The staff here were so helpful and accommodating! Stefan Carter was the person who helped me. He was very knowledgeable on all the different models and what features they have. He was also very diligent about updating me with inventory shipments so I could get the car I wanted. Will Allen helped me on the financing side. I got there late and he was willing to stay late to make sure I was taken care of. He listed out all of my financing options and made me feel very comfortable and excited about the options I chose. I am in the process of buying a new car and really like the style of the XC90, so I decided to check out this dealership with the intent of taking one out for a test drive. Right when I got there I was greeted by a sales associate named Giselle who was very friendly and personable. After listening to me explain my situation, she offered to get a vehicle for me to test drive that matched my needs. Needless to say, I loved the car and the experience provided by Giselle but need some more time before purchasing a new vehicle. When the time comes I am definitely going to go back to this dealership and will ask for Giselle.

Was making a delivery to the service department on Butler road on 6/2/2021 when I was approached by an employee who threatened to assault me and cause me bodily harm if I refused to move my truck while I was engaged in interstate commerce. When I asked for a manager this individual stated he did not have a manager and then proceeded to punch my window as well as my trailer. If Ourisman continues to employ such individuals with no recourse for their actions, there will eventually in my opinion be open to liability claims in the near future by allowing an employee to act in such disregard for others while conducting business with their establishment. I’m still awaiting a call back from the General Manager at the Arlington Road location to ascertain weather or not a resolution can be made with this circumstance.

OMG so this dealer picked up my Tiguan to fix a recall. When the car gets to the dealer I get a call that my car needs a windshield and an alignment. OK so somehow on the way to the dealer my windshield got broken and they wanted me to pay for it? They lied about it and when I tried calling the service department, the sales department the store manager they all ignored me...would not answer the phone.(I tried all day to call). I ended up paying safelight to replace my windshield and took the car to Greenbelt Truck and Auto where they said the car did not need an alignment. I have leased 4 cars with these people and this is how they treat me????? I really just could not believe how they treated me. I sold my VW and got a Tesla. I chose one star but believe me they are a zero.

I bought a new VW Golf that was damaged, unbeknownst to me, right before I drove it off the lot. In an attempt to drill holes with a screwdriver for the license plate, the car was damaged (see photo). Two half holes were attempted before the drill was used. I now have 4 holes on my bumper where there should only be two. Once I removed the temp plates and discovered all these holes on my bumper, I reached out to the folks at Ourisman with my concern, only to be dismissed. I was told this was a common problem with VWs and would not be considered damage, there was nothing they could do. After that initial conversation, our attempts to contact Ourisman Bethesda are now ignored completely. And if not ignored our point of contact, Dante, is “unavailable.” Perhaps a VW dealer should know how to do basic things like install a license plate on the vehicles they sell, apparently thats asking too much.I’m very disappointed in the “service” (if you can even call it that) I received here.

I found the experience ideal in car shopping where she was there if I had any questions and let the car just sell itself, including taking it out for a drive beyond the stop-stop-stop neighborhood in downtown Bethesda of the dealership. Her and her manager and other members of her team were pleasant and made it to where I wanted to close the sale with them, including staying a little after hours since I made the drive from VA. I called in and spoke to Kathy Sue about a 2018 Tornado Red Golf R with DSG. I had purchased a 2018 black Golf R from a dealer near me in PA and unfortunately was in an accident in the inclement weather we had on November 15th and the car was totaled. I worked with both Kathy and the finance manager Carme Vitale through this entire sale and they were very understanding and handled my situation professionally and promptly. They let me put a deposit on the vehicle while I worked through the claim process with insurance company. Working with them through the entirety of the sale in the mean time was such a pleasure and breath of fresh air. They quoted me on the OTD price, any accessories, and services over the phone I received a call yesterday from the insurance and headed down to Maryland to pick up the car. All of the framework of the sale had been laid out prior to me even going in the building and it was all what we agreed upon. I cant even begin to explain how satisfied and grateful I am to have worked with these individuals they were beyond professional and courteous throughout every step of this process. I would recommend this dealer if youre looking for a great experience regardless of the car they know what theyre doing and know how to treat their customers. If you get even a fraction of the immaculate customer service and courteousness that I received there you will be very satisfied.

Purchased a certified pre-owned car from this dealership 10 months ago and still havent had my issues resolved. A very rushed sale including a key fob that wasnt programmed, car being registered in the wrong county, and badly gouged rotors with rear brakes in bad shape. The service department manager and general manager strung me along for months now and just dont seem to care. I would not expect these sorts of issues from a certified pre-owned VW and worse off they have wasted much of my time letting me think that they were going to help.I cant reply to this thread so Im editing. Worth noting that although there are responses here to get in touch with management, Ive been in touch numerous times where Ive been given the runaround and why I decided to write a review.

I brought the car to get roof grab handles replaced and said i would wait for repairs since they said it would take 2 hours. They said they would call me within 30 min with better time estimate. No one called. I called 2 hrs later and no update. 4 hours later, i called again, still no update. After 5 hours i said i wanted to speak to the mechanic fixing the issue and all of a sudden they said the car is ready. I went to the shop and they still had the audacity to ask whether i wanted to wait a bit so they could wash my car. I said no because i had to wait for over 5 hrs. The car was very messy, the springs from the grab handles were on the floor. No one bothered to wipe off the germs or anything. Im only giving 2 stars because the intake process was easy and people were friendly.

She was efficient and helpful with guiding me through signing documents. Furthermore, this was the most streamlined car buying experience. We agreed to a price below listing. This was after they once made us an offer below listing, and we talked them down further. We were emailed the quote with the final price, we said yes, that we already had the financing set up. They said they would UPS Next Day Air us the paperwork since we lived so far away and had agreed to pay the shipping to us (they once tried to double the shipping on us, too). We waited 3 days. During the entire time we were waiting for the paperwork, we kept calling and asking where the paperwork was. Eventually, we were informed by them that they could not sell us the vehicle at the price we agreed to and had the emailed quote showing final price for. They had our number the entire time. They could have called us as soon as they realized this, but they chose not to. It was either pay the listed price or no deal. We walked away. They also became irritated with us when we expressed frustration (we never yelled or became irate on the phone with them, and no profanity was ever used). That’s how they treat guaranteed customers. They jerked us around on the shipping and jerked us around the price.

Complete lack of professionalism. No attention to detail and no follow up. They missed my car pick up twice. First the incorrect date, second they went to the wrong address. This after multiple telephone call follow ups.I called the manager to complain, got voice mail, left a message and never received a call back.

THIS IS AN UPDATED TO MY 2016 POST OF 5 STARSVolkwagen has robbed me of my faith in the durability and quality of its product! I purchased a Tiguan in August 2016 SEL with leather interior and was pleased with it-even paid extra $3,000 for an extended warranty via Fidelity. To date, I only have 28,00 miles on it, but odd the left side of the drivers seat began to crack/peel. For almost two weeks now I have been going back and forth trying to get Volkswagen or Fidelity to cover the cost to no avail-both told me the cost of repair would not be covered-Sadly, I even contacted Ourisman who never even responded to my complaint-my suggestion: Dont buy a Volkswagen or purchase from this dealer. I love my vehicle, but if I had to do it over again, I would have NEVER bought from this location nor a Volkswagen, the Nissan or Rav 4 I had in mind would have given me better results-I know folks with almost 100,000 miles on cars, much older than mine, but dont have peeling seats.. I must add, this does not reflect the wonderful Service Reps at the Ourisman Service Center in Bethesda-they are wonderful! Bummer they dont MAKE THE DECISIONS, I would probably would get a better response from them as they seem to care more about me as a customer than Volkswagen or Ourisman. VERY DISAPPOINTING-I gave this location good reviews back in 2016f, but now I see differently.

My fiance and I had a great experience purchasing a 2018 Certified Pre-Owned Tiguan SEL here! We worked with Andre Niava, and he was kind, helpful and attentive throughout the whole process.We were considering a few different Tiguans, and Andre allowed us to spend a significant amount of time test driving and playing around with the different options. He was always gracious, and never pushed us to rush to make a decision. Every person we came into contact with was extremely warm, welcoming and happy to assist us. Our sales person, Sean Dadgar, was wonderful. Purchasing a car from him was truly a pleasurable experience. He was honest, took the time to ensure all of our needs were met, and made sure we got the best deal possible. I go and get a new loan and as IoI am on the way he texted me and said it sold a few minutes ago...He knew I was coming, I called 1 hour before leaving and told him I was going to get the money and I would be on the way. Terrible business and greed.

I was asked for a google review no less than 5 times in my visit. I got a great car - the car I wanted at a reasonable price, but the salesman was more concerned with a great google review than providing me a car in great condition, and it required several weeks to have the car brought up to the condition I was told I was buying. If you care to read dealership reviews, here’s probably the notes you’d like to be aware of:The salesman was nice and picked me up at the metro when I asked.I bought a certified used car and the dealership published very reasonable prices online, seemed to deal with people equally (vs the other dealership I went to added to the price based on my profession).It takes a long time. I was the only one in the dealership on a quiet Wednesday morning and it took 3 hours to do the paperwork. The car was already picked out from a previous visit, cleaned, gassed up, and supposedly inspected (we’ll come back to this) but the paperwork process took 3 hours.They use this delay to try to upsell paint coating and undercarriage cover and leather treatments that are “so important” they only give you a couple of pictures and a lifetime guarantee to explain. When you say thanks but no thanks, they wait 30 minutes and then come back and offer one more time because “they could tell you really wanted it.”I had a quote including a long extended warranty and wanted to discuss a shorter warranty option... I was not allowed to until sale of the car was signed. If you don’t like to negotiate with car dealerships this might not be a big deal to you but I definitely missed out on a couple hundred dollars by letting them finalize the price before the warranty discussion was had.They use electronic documents and they don’t give you print outs, so until you go home and load up the USB drive, it’s hard to know what you signed. They also push you to sign papers before important information is included on those papers (like the price!)Back to that “inspection”... I got in the car to drive away and the navigation system did not work. I went back inside and got the salesman and of course he was surprised. So 5 minutes into ownership, I already have to deal with a warranty issue. This is a big deal to me because I bought a certified car... supposedly it was inspected and make sure everything works! They are helping resolve this, but I have been asked for yet another review (and asked to say I’m completely satisfied) before this is fixed!I also got home and removed the paper floor cover only to find a hole in the rubber floor mat that comes in the car. I understand I bought a used car but that explains why they didn’t remove the paper floor cover for me; they wanted to keep that hidden until it was sold.UPDATEI waited a month to post this review so that I could update you. I havent had any other issues with the car, I do very much love the car and the stars should not be considered a rating of my car, but it took over 3 weeks and 2 trips back to the service shop (separate from the dealership) to get the navigation fixed.They offered me a loaner car while they fixed it, but the loaner car was not allowed to leave the DC area and my pet (a non-shedding dog) was not allowed in the car, so it was impractical for me to have over a weekend.The service shop did fix it but there was quite a bit of confusion and ultimately they explained to me that the salesmen likely caused this problem, he agreed they knew about it before they sold it to me, and shouldve taken it to the service shop rather than trying to fix it themselves. The salesmen are quote: good at selling but they shouldnt be working on the cars, thats why you have this issue.So after 3 weeks and some very uncomfortable conversations with the salesmen and the servicemen, I have the car I want and Im happy to say it works properly so far, thank goodness I got that extended warranty.

My family and I have owned and worked with VW service for over 30 years. This has been the worst car experience since I purchased last year and this service appointment was the worst I?ve ever had. Brought in for regular scheduled 2 year maintenance (or 1 year by my purchase date). Scheduled appt online on confusing appointment site that does not clearly show where to request a loner. I mentioned this at drop off and could see the associate was impatient and had no time to explain where to correct that for a future visit. Upon appt and dropoff, i stated my horn does not work when the temperature outside is below 30 degrees. Although I have video evidence of this occurrence, the associate, youness I believe, chose to tell me it worked and couldn?t do anything about it. I picked up my car in the afternoon via dealership provided Lyft, which is inconvenient in itself when I need access to a federal campus where non employees can?t enter. Arriving back at the service center, Younus, still visibly impatient, knowing I was unhappy with the results, couldnt even give me any possible scenarios as to why my horn might be having this issue. Another associate overheard and mentioned that the 2018 model tiguans are known to have horn issues, and when I tried to confirm this with Younus, he was more upset to hear his colleague expose that information. I was given receipt of services where a note stated, not verbatim, ?horn is working as expected?. I refused to sign off on this and asked to have the notes updated to include that although a customer video shows the evidence, no issue was found. That was a fake ?need to ask my supervisor and wait til monday? ordeal, that he eventually receded and updated on his own after a few minutes. Meanwhile, he was calling frantically to get my car to the front as I waited for over 15 minutes for it to pull up. And when it finally arrived, the stench that came from inside of my car, after a clearly sloppy car wash job, was that of a dirty wet sock that wiped down my interior. Only to put more salt on the wound. I wanted to let that go so bad but it almost felt intentional and at that point Younus tried to correct the situation with offering lysol to soften the stench. He then said he would call me on monday to see what else he could do. Never received a call until wednesday and I couldnt answer at the time but caught the voicemail. ?Come in so we can have another look at the horn?. No thanks, burn me once but won?t let it happen again. Again, this car has also been terrible since the actual sales process in Bethesda from the beginning and I?m highly considering turning it in for an entirely new make and model. Only bad luck seems to follow. Customer lost.

Just bought my first car here, a 2010 Honda Accord with only 68.5k miles that I found while searching online. Drove an hour one way to come see the car, and this dealership did not disappoint! I did my own research on the car before buying. Sam was very nice and Latoya was very helpful and outgoing. They helped make my first car purchase a breeze, I didnt feel pressured at all. I also got a great deal because of some scrapes and scratches that I did not see online, and the brakes need to be serviced, plus Im in college and have a super tight budget. I purchased a 2016 Volvo XC90 from Ourisman Volvo of Bethesda; I worked with Stefan St. John of their sales team. The sales experience was very good, Stefan was very courteous and knowledgeable, as was the rest of the team. The process was very simple, and we appreciated their willingness to communicate by email frequently. The briefing on the vehicle was thorough. Wed recommend two areas for further improvement: managing expectations on delivery and the time at the dealership to complete the transaction. Regarding expectations, several delivery dates were promised and ultimately had to be slipped. This is understandable considering the demand for the vehicle, but it would be best to not be too optimistic on delivery dates if theyre in doubt. Regarding transaction time, we were a bit surprised that it took over 3 hours considering the fact that we were not financing the purchase. In summary, wed have no problem recommending Stefan and Ourisman to others.

Awful experience. Tried to come here to buy an egolf on a $10K VW promotion and it was pulling teeth to get them to honor it. Predatory tactic of attempting to charge destination fee twice. Refused pricing/discount/incentive/rebate transparency and never did agree to remove the double destination fee. Would never interact with Ourisman ever again.
