This is going to be the third time within a month and a half the technicians have had to come to my house just to replace the trim basil that goes over the buttons for my dishwasher. It’s a two person job and apparently you need to take the complete door off and rebuild the door just to put the trim piece on. The next tech is scheduled to be here tomorrow. Fingers crossed…..

The technicians said the repair would cost well over $650. That means a new dryer! We called a electrician friend who does not work for Sears and he replaced the wire where the short was and the machine is now working fine! He didnt charge us. I dont understand why our Sears technician could not repair the machine.

From the outset, this was a terrible experience. I bought the refrigerator from Sears in 2013. I described in detail that the problem was the ice maker and that I needed a new one. The person setting up the repair visit, assured me that the technician would have the part I needed. Of course, he did not.!!! (Date 4/6/2021) But there was good news, the technician was able to get the existing ice maker working again and said they would sent the new one to my house and that he would return to install it. Fast forward, on 5/28/2021 the new ice maker arrived afer repeated calls to Sears. Thats right, 52 days later. On 6/9/2021, a technician came to install the new ice maker. But the saga continues. I had an 8 am to 12 noon window, he texted shortly before 11am that he was on his way, but did not arrive until 11:50am. Then he had a difficult time figuring out how to remove the existing ice maker, and had to call someone for help. With that persons assistance he was able to remove the unit and install the new one. But the saga continues. That night I noticed the new ice maker wasnt making ice. I thought perhaps it just needed time. I checked again in the morning no ice. Now angry, I called Sears Appliance Repair and told them I need the technician to come back and correct his mistake. After being switched around multiple times, the earliest appointment they could give me was 6/15/2021. Now fuming, I got out the refrigerator instruction book. An guess what, the Sears technician failed to turn the new ice maker on. So finally, again I have ice. But the saga continues. I called to cancel the return visit and again after being transferred multiple times and being asked multiple times why I wanted to cancel the return visit, I got it canceled. SEARS APPLIANCE REPAIR - PITIFUL!!!

As far as Sears personnel were concerned, the service was barely adequate (out of India). With respect to the repair contractor Sears used (Superior), the service was abominable, unprofessional, and rude. The hoops we had to jump through to get our refrigerator repaired was not worth the $$$ paid for a Master Protection Agreement.

We are currently out over $400.00, and still have no water or ice. In addition, there seems to be no way to rectify this situation. We had two service calls, who threw parts at the problem with no solution. I do not understand how you can spend $400.00 and have absolutely no resolution. This will certainly impact any future purchases with Sears. Once a great company with service I trusted, but sadly no longer. I would love to hear back from Sears with a way to resolve this, and I will be happy to update my message. Was told today to go to their Facebook page and that was no help. Was told they cannot do anything regarding service at that site. This is a total joke. I spent money for a service that has not been provided.

Our dishwasher (under Warranty) started leaking in December. The repairman could not find the problem. The leak stopped for a while, but started up again in March, just in time for the pandemic. The second repairman showed up three hours past the window of time he was scheduled — fiddled with some things, but could not figure out where it was coming from, but he Ordered parts which took longer than anticipated. Third guy installed the parts. It’s still leaking!!! Fourth repairman scheduled for May 15. 😱

Total waste of time. When I contacted the repair shop, I was told that the cost would be roughly $200. The ignitor blew on the stove and Ive seen the parts online for a lot less than what I was being charged. The service fee was $99. The part was $70 and the labor was obviously $200 because the total price was close to $400 after all was said and done. The last time I had the stove repaired, the price was $200 for everything. NEVER AGAIN WILL I CALL SEARS.I declined the repair and still paid the $99 for the service call. I called THEM and told them the ignitor blew. Nobody else diagnosed it. On top of this, I called the customer service line and that in itself was a spiral into disaster. Save yourself from this mess and call someone else..Im calling the $99 a donation and a very valuable lesson learned. Never again 😒

Took an excessive amount of time, over three months to get a treadmill repaired. Sears rescheduled first appointment twice and then had to wait another two months for parts. Had to call a couple of times. After the last call, they reordered the parts and they arrived a few days later. This repair probably could have been done much sooner. Also, one representative was to send a $25.00 gift card for our inconvenience, but that never came. No wonder they went out of business,

The service tech came out to diagnose an issue with my riding mower, which he did. I learned a great deal about this mower just by sitting and watching and asking questions. Sears will charge you an unreasonable amount of money for actual parts and labor for repair, which is why I only wanted to stick to the diagnosis of the problem.

This was a very poor representation of Sears. As a business owner, I know the importance of upholding your brand with everyone who represents your company. The best description of the technician sent to my home was that he looked like a homeless man. He was poorly dressed, unshaven, and approached me at a snails pace with a scowl on his face. I almost did not let him in the door. He spent ten minutes looking over our softener system, pulling out parts and said everything was fine. I told him that the softener was only hooked up to the hot water which he didnt believe until he saw it for himself and said that meant it was installed improperly. When asked what would happen if we bypassed it, he said nothing would happen and that we would not notice any difference. He was wrong. We noticed a difference the next day. We still dont know why the machine doesnt regenerate like it used to. This makes me question the quality of Sears technicians for future appliance purchases.

When I scheduled my repair, I was pleasantly surprised to get an appointment in only 2 days. Needless to say, it was too good to be true. I received a call that it was necessary to reschedule due to the repairman calling off ill. Not really a big deal. Things happen. The 2nd appointment was kept on time and the repair was done with the exception of one part that the repairman didnt have on his truck. That part was mailed to me. All that being said, this was still a good deal. The price was right. The repairman did his work in a timely fashion and it appears that he did it well. Even with the delay in service, this was a very convenient way to get the job done. Thanks Sears.

Actually the service tech and repair were good. My issues lie with the scheduling and getting the service done. This was a repeat visit, because my appliance wasnt fixed. I scheduled an appointment for the next afternoon and then got a call on the day of service stating they had to cancel due to no technician available. This would have been a Friday and there are no service hours over the weekend. So, I couldnt have a technician until Tuesday the following week. I think Sears should add weekend hours for repair to eliminate this type of issue.

I have not had a working refrigerator for over a month. Sears has sent repair people 4 times and my refrigerator does still not work. The first time the repair person never show, the second time they said that they did not have the parts to fix it. The third and fourth time they filled the freon and said it was fixed but the freon leaked out and it never cooled down. I have taken 4 days off of work, I have lost hundreds of dollars in food and still do not have a working refrigerator. Every time that I call sears I get put on hold for 30 to 45 min and then the call gets dropped and I have to start again. I have never experienced such terrible service.

My experience with Sears Appliance Repair has been the worst customer service experience I have ever dealt with in my entire life. It starts with no one showing up on the scheduled day and time of our repair appointment. An hour after the scheduling window had passed, I called to find out what was going on. It turned out that no one was assigned to my appointment. So, we had to reschedule to the next day. The guy that came never fixed our oven. It didnt work and still doesnt. The guy left and marked on the receipt that it was working. We even received a part in the mail that was supposed to be used in fixing this AFTER the repairman left. We were also charged a helper technician fee of $104. We were told during our diagnostic appointment that we wouldnt have any additional fees after paying for the parts/labor on that day. So here I am with a non-working oven, but they have my $700 and I cant get a hold of anyone in the billing department that will help us. Theres no local Pittsburgh contact info - all calls go to call centers in foreign countries and all those people can do for you is schedule an appointment. Please Please Please, do NOT call them!!!

Repair men came to service and repair the treadmill. Several partsthat were ordered didnt come so they couldnt complete the job. Theytried to order the parts again, but were told that the parts couldnt be found, and that it would take several weeks to investigate and get back to me. Oddly enough two more boxes of parts came the very next day. Whether they are the parts in question or something else, I dont know. That being said, once I had received the additional parts, I called to schedule another appointment for the repair men to come out (on June 30). So repair was incomplete due to missing parts and some confusion about whether they could find them only to (apparently) show up the next day. The coordination between the parts department and the repair department was not the best for this situation. And having a Sears person call me to ask if all the parts have come doesnt make much sense. Im not the expert on treadmills and have no idea if Ive received all the parts. If I knew that, Id fix it myself and not have a service agreement with Sears. I hope this properly conveys what is happening. One more thing. Sears should be able to do better than giving me a window of 8-to-12 for when they are coming. Im basically chained to the house until they get here and are done. And they NEVER get here at 8:00. This last time was 11:15. The time before that (with something else), I was given a 1-to-5 appointment. They arrive at 4:45. I lose hours waiting when I could be elsewhere getting other things done. This needs to be improved (to at least a 2 hour window). Maybe things like this are why Sears is struggling with their business.

If Sears has developed a program to make you want to buy new over repair then that program is working. It took three trips to fix a leaky dishwasher. First attempt - Appointment window of 8 to 12. 2 minute install of new gasket was completed at 4PM. Yes 4 hours after my appointment window the first tech completed the install of a gasket which literally takes 2 minutes to install. At the end of the appointment, not when discovered, I was informed I needed yet another gasket which the tech did not have. So had to wait to get that part delivered and wait for another appointment to open up. Second Attempt - Came out, new tech this time, installed the part and left, of course this tech also missed the 4 hour window I was given of 1 to 5PM. 4 hours...why not just say stay home till we get there sometime this week. So the next day loaded and ran the dishwasher. Turns out the door will not close right and I got water all over the floor. Called again to get yet another appointment. Third Attempt - Well, third time is the charge. Now this time I got Marvin and that guy Marvin drove an hour across time at the end of the day to fix my problem. He opened the door and said that gasket is in backwards ! Wow yes that in fact was true, in less than 5 minutes he took out the gasket turned it around and reinstalled it. He then ran the washer to make sure it would not leak and made sure it was right before he left. Now, If I was Sears, I would find a way to clone Marvin and put him out there on every truck. Or, I would promote him and pay him double to run the program. Thanks Marvin!!!! He also explained what the biggest no nos for the dishwasher and had an actual pleasant demeanor. Marvin gets a 5 start rating but Sears a one star for making me wait 3 weeks to get Marvin on the case.

Ive been a loyal customer of Sears for almost 30yrs. All of my appliances are covered under the sears home protection agreements. Recently, I had the left door on my Kenmore Elite refrigerator break and no longer functioning properly. I placed a service call and the technician that came to my home confirmed the door was defective and needed to be replaced under my existing warranty. He proceeded to call the part number in to the Sears repair team(STAT), who denies the door is covered and will not replace it. I talked to 3 different departmental supervisors and all of them gave me a different story and kept transferring me. I will never buy another product or service from Sears ever again. Im sad to say, I understand why Sears cant compete anymore because they dont understand their customers needs nor do they know how to do business anymore, which is why bankruptcy may be their best option.

First- when you need service Sears repair will be there the very next day because they have the potential to make money off of you so they jump at the opportunity. However, once they have your business and money (because you have to pay upfront for the part and labor) they have their incompetent service men tell you it takes 3 weeks for the part to come in and they schedule the repair 3 weeks out. However, the part arrives at your home in 3 days. So when you call to push up the appointment, they cannot help you. You are stuck waiting 3 weeks. Its ironic since they are at your door the next day to assess the problem because they smell money likes sharks do blood in water. In my case, I called twice pleading to have the appointment pushed up because I was expecting a baby and they could not help me. Well of course I went into labor the day of the repair. I had my babysitter informed on the location of the water shut off valve for my refrigerator and the location of the part. Even though she specifically told the repair man where the shut off valve was located at the top of the refrigerator, and he could readily follow the water line, he chose not to. He pretended not to find it. He roamed around my basement pretending to put forth an effort. He did not want to turn the water on because he did not want to deal with a leak and check his work. He played stupid and did not listen to her. Luckily when I came back from the hospital, we had to test the water ourselves and the line did not leak. In addition, Sears owed me a credit which has yet to post to my account. I would not recommend Sears repair to my enemy.

This should have been repaired last week!***Are you kidding me.***So, it took 3 rescheduled appointments, incorrect parts (no Wait, they were right!), 3 days of missed pay to take off work, 5 calls (2 that I was hung up on!) and a $97 mini fridge purchase that was unnecessary to buy...all to get this fixed after THREE Weeks!!NEVER AGAIN WILL SEARS GET ANY OF OUR MONEY. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ATTROCIOUS. ARE YOUR SUPERVISORS TOLD TO DISCONNECT WHEN A CUSTOMER HAS AN ISSUE? OR IN MY CASE, THE WORST SERVICE EVER.******NO STARS!!!!******if course, cant post without at least one star. And I take that one back.

Hot water tank flooded the area where located. Called with immediate response that day of repairman. Disaster afterwards. Repairman called Sears tech and sent pictures and tech diagnosed with a heating problem and ordered parts to come to me in 4-5 days. I insisted another service call and was rescheduled 7 days later. Repairman saw leak and tank condemned.. Was told to pick tank up at store and schedule installer ourselves since no Sears installers available locally (Pgh) and would be reimbursed (Fri). We were then notified by Sears scheduling department that a Sears installer was scheduled to install on Monday. Several calls were made to verify. Monday morning, was told again, no installers. We scheduled our own after 10 days of no hot water. This tank was under a replacement policy. NOT RELIABLE. This was done through Texas and off-shore calls, not South Hills Village.

The repair person was not knowledgeable about the dishwasher. He cleaned the unit because he thought glass was stuck but that was it. The noise still continues - very dissapointed

Sears repair service is awful. A technician was supposed to come out today (Friday) and didnt - he also didnt call to say he couldnt come. Then I talked to someone in India to reschedule for next Thursday....back to the laundromat...stinker.
