We went there today (June 12, 2021) for a 9:30AM scheduled passport appointment. Came in 10 minutes early just as what was being instructed to do. The Hispanic woman was helpful and pleasant. And then theres that very unpleasant white lady who didnt seem to want us in there yelled from the other room as soon as she heard that we are there for that appointment, I am fully booked today. You should come here with everything filled up. Blah.. blah... blah... I assume, that 10 minutes before our 9:30 appointment is more than enough to fill out that form. She could have saved more time to get her things done if she just asked what time our appointment is and if our form is filled up. It is sometimes completely normal to have that horrible attitude when someone is rude to you, but not when people who just walked in there and then tell you that they are there for an appointment, people who are with kids that might wonder why you have to be like that.
Visit date was 12/11/2020 -(COVID)FOLLOW YOUR OWN RULESThere were about 15 people in line. Also other customers coming in and out from their P.O Box. More than about 20 customers in the lobby.I mentioned to Cecile (Rep.) they exceed the limit as stated on their (COVID/10 persons)sign in the lobby. She stated she cant see around the corner of the line. I stated you have cameras. She stated Oh, Nobody looks at them and smirked and called for the next customer.Im sure there was an offense of violation or a crime, they would look in the cameras.They are in violation as I pointed out to the clerk and just got a smirk.Typical of some federal employees as Rules dont apply to them. While small community businesses shut down due to loss of income on limiting their clients/customers.
Terrible service always getting mail that is not mine, and i keep reciving mail from other addresses. Pakages never arrive or are sent back. THE ABSOLUTE WORST. They have no customer service and are not helpful at all!
These people are always putting the wrong packages in the mail. I have someone else’s package and they probably have mine. Learn how to do your job !
This place is the worst, the mail lady/ man is ALWAYS putting the wrong mail in the wrong boxes. I can’t even order things online because they always get lost! They need new mail people that know how to put the right packages in the right boxes, it’s not that hard!
Went there to purchase a book of stamps. I went at 9 am, so not yet busy. There was one customer in front of me. The employee was a bit rude to him. I can’t say how they handle lunch or after work surges of customers. The employee I encountered was just okay. I’ve definitely experienced ruder, more miserable employees than she. I’ve come to lower my expectations with usps though. If you’re looking for nice, knowledgeable employees than I’d suggest going to UPS. They’re both better than FedEx though, so I guess they have that going for them.
First time using this post office location. Had to get a package shipped before going to work. I was there at 8:00am and 3rd in line. I was walking out the door after about 12 minutes. One of the fastest post office visits I have ever had.
Shipped a package internationally today and was told to write out my first name in full in the return address section (on the actual parcel--not the customs form) instead of using my first initial + last name. The employee claimed UK Customs would send it back otherwise. Say what??? Ive been shipping items internationally for decades and this has never been an issue. I contacted my friend in the UK when I got home, and she says Customs doesnt even care as long as the declaration form is correctly filled out. Clueless employee needs to get a clue and stop acting like shes an authority on things she clearly knows nothing about.
For people looking to do the Passport related work here:1. No restroom. However, nice restroom in the facility {dont remember the name} next to the post office)2. Around 12-15 people in line when the passport work starts.3. Get something to eat & drink.4. With small kids: be prepared to change the diaper on the floor or in the car.5. Each person processing takes ~15-20 mins6. Picture is taken right there at the window when other documents are taken (i.e. there isnt any separate line for this). You can bring your own photograph.=> ~ 1 to 1:30 hour time for all the appointment.Very friendly staff.NOTE: The above mentioned points correspond to the experience I had. This can be completely different for others.
Awesome staff! No complaints at all they always deliver and super rarely and dont even remember the last time they made any sort of mistake. Thank you guys n gals! 😁
Excellent place to do business with! My daughter lives out of state and I send her packages of green chile and other NM gifts. My packages are delivered timely and service is always friendly and great! Thank you Bernalillo USPS!
Mail Lady is always putting people mail in the WROMG MAIL BOX I have gotten other people’s mail in my box AND she lost my package by putting it in the wrong mail box !!
This is the ABSOLUTE WORST post office I have ever come across ALL EMPLOYEES there are totally clueless/worthless no one has information and whoever delivers the mail is ridiculous. This is a constant problem of receiving my mail in the correct box and packages constantly being returned to sender!! I have had several packages delivered from UPS no problem but when this Bernalillo office gets involved suddenly the address is incomplete!! I live two houses down from this box and two minutes from the post office why are my packages not being delivered?! Went down there myself to get this sorted out and suddenly no record of me, no record of my packages, no record of my mail how convenient! This place is so lazy and uneducated on postal policies and procedures I recommend that EVERY employee there be re-trained and re-tested because they are ALL without a clue and the laziest I have seen!! Have MANY problems with this post office do not sign up for delivery by this office DO NOT!!! Would not even give them one star if I could post without rating them!!!
Everyone who works here will do everything they can to be unhelpful as possible. A package I received was delivered 2 days ago and they still have not gotten around to sorting through mail. Lazy a-holes.
Went to the P.O. in Bernalillo today for our first Passports. What could have been a very trying experience turned out to be fairly enjoyable due to the efforts of Yvonne who does the Passport applications. Yvonne was extremely pleasant and professional. What could have been an all day ordeal actually took less than 1 hour and 30 minutes. One word of caution, DONT drink a lot of coffee before going as there is NO public restrooms available. There is however an Allsups just across the street and they are very understanding and allow use of their restrooms without requiring a purchase.
Very clean. Professional, friendly, and curtious. Had everything stocked. Just needed to mail a package. No problems.

Horrible carriers and the manager is rude and dont care. Constantly misplaced mail and when you let the manager know she tells you its not her problem. Then you service gets worse for complaining.

Misplaced my packages a few times. also didnt deliver my things on the day they were suppose too. it just stayed at the post office. payed next day air for nothing
My packages were misplaced several times. It was $139.99 plus 3 year warranty. Horrible service regarding package delivery. Not even an apology or reimbursement for their mistake

Went there to ship 2 boxes overseas to our son serving in the military, the customs form given to me was the wrong one but luckily I was not in hurry, everything got done and our son received his Oreos ;-) 13 packages worth.
