Absolutely the highlight of our trip! Did a morning ride on our honeymoon (beware if monsoon afternoon rains in July) and it was such a treat! The guides are knowledgeable and attentive. We are city people and felt totally comfortable on the horses. Perfect and would do again.

I had the best experience riding with Tamaya stables. I absolutely love them and their mission to care after these sweet animals. This was by far the best riding I’ve done! The horses were wonderful, and the view/trails we’re like nothing I’ve ever experienced! It was truly amazing. I highly recommend riding here and donating whenever you can! I know we will be. ♥️

Our trail ride at the Stables was a wonderful experience! Upmost care was taken for our safety and comfort and we received some wonderful photos taken on the ride! It was such an enjoyable and beautiful ride through the Cottonwoods and down to the Rio Grand River! We look forward to another ride soon and I am excited to see the rodeo being held at the Stables on June 17th! Had a wonderful horse ride during sunset. The horses were easy to manuever and host was friendly. Loved our first time horseback riding.

Brought my daughter for her 8th birthday as a present the people there were super friendly and nice our guide Dominic was stupendous! Cannot beat their prices either! $260 for 4 people for a 60 minute ride! Worth every penny! The horses were amazing if you love to get away from the city this is the place for you!

Being from VT, this landscape was like nothing I had ever ridden before. Horses were happy, fit, and able to be “ridden” rather than following nose-to-tail like robots. Guide was friendly but mostly left us to enjoy the scenery without a lot of small talk. Being New Englanders, we were worried about the heat, but our two-hour ride left at 9am and we lathered up in sunscreen before hand to avoid frying ourselves. There was water in the saddle bag and a nice breeze, making it very pleasant. Good-tempered horses Split and Bay made the ride enjoyable for both an experienced rider and someone who hadn’t been on a horse in almost 15 years. Our ride was primarily walking with some short stretches of trotting; with all the beautiful photo opps and scenery to take in, covering the 4 miles at a nice walk was perfect. Trails took us up and downhill, through deep, sandy dry streambeds, and over flat grassy sections. I’d highly recommend!

Me and my fiancée were vacationing from Philadelphia and wanted an amazing experience in Albuquerque. The people here are so sweet, they waited for us even though we were late and still treated us fairly. Beautiful views and horses!! 100% recommend this stable!

Did the trail ride with my daughter. Great scenery. Kind and knowledgeable staff. Lead person was great and took our photo on horseback next to the Rio Grande. Ride was several miles.

My guide Andrew was amazing! Trails are beautiful. Horses were exceptional and clearly well cared for and loved. Facility is emmaculate. Felt 100% safe..

My group had a wonderful time at the Tamaya Horse Rescue! We had a general session event at the stables and adopted a horse. Incredible organization and experience! Connie and her staff are great; very kind, warm and hospitable. Id definitely recommend hosting an event there, or going to ride horses.

My daughter and I had a wonderful time. Andrew was our guide. He pointed out bald eagles and an owl on the trail. He even took our picture at the Rio Grande river. My 11 year-old daughter was very safe in his hands. We would do it again in a heartbeat. The stables were nice.

Great place for rodeos and horse rides. Rescue horses are beautiful. Landscape is movie ready for visitors. Sunsets spactular!

I had a bad experience at the stables unfortunately, my husband and I went for Christmas weekend, Pinto the horse got spoked at something that wasnt visible on the way back to the stables and almost threw me off, I held on for dear life and the wranglers horse also reacted and reared up after he seen my horse act up, my left foot was caught in the stir up, they were not adjusted correctly, she rolled it up because I was too short, so my inner thigh was bruised badly and my right arm was in much pain as well, got a bad mussel spasm, it was hard to enjoy fully the rest of our Christmas weekend, which was a gift to me, my arm is still healing, went through alot of pain, hurts to lift it, the wrangler was very nice, and all else was wonderful, tamaya is a wonderful place, I will never again however ride again, very thankful I didnt fall off.

Treated horrible. Service conceited with no help at all. Took family from out of town for horse ride and unable to get answers.

Always an exceptional experience.
