I have never undergone hypnotherapy before, so I was a little skeptical and unsure of what to expect, but she was very supportive and made me feel comfortable with the whole process. In my experience she was compassionate and understanding when I needed it, but challenging and offered practical advice when integrating lessons from therapy into daily life became appropriate. Also, going into this I was worried about working with someone who was too “woo woo” or would insist on using a metaphorical framework that I wasn’t comfortable with, but that was not the case with Emily at all. She is very knowledgeable and framed things in a very logical, pragmatic way that helped me intellectually understand the process, which is a must for me if I’m going to fully commit to a therapy or practice.
