I always feel well cared for and loved when I visit. Dr Storm is thorough, personable, caring and knows her stuff. Even through my frustrations of learning how to wear hearing aides, she makes settles my nerves and we always have a laugh...well maybe two! Love this place.

Location was a little difficult to spot, but Emily met me outside and helped direct me to the office.When booking, I was given paperwork and new patient forms as well as some surveys and educational material.Dr. Storm was equally helpful - friendly, attentive (!), and very educational. She listened and was able to help deduce my hearing issues within the first meetup. My particular case requires a follow-up, but I will gladly book to do business with them again.There was no wait in the lobby and minimal wait until the Doctor joined in the patient room. I have been going to hearing aid dispensers for over 40 years. I have experienced a great range of service. Blue Sky Hearing is by far the best. Dr Dr Storm really know her stuff. Those four post graduate years obtaining her doctorate of audiology really have made a difference. She is also a very good listener. She let me know what steps she recommend I take. I went there because my hearing aids had been very poorly adjusted just a few weeks before. The ear molds that I had replaced twice were slipping out of my ear canal. She knew immediately what to do to remedy the situation. The hearing aids are now working better than at any time in the past 3 years since I purchased them.

Ownership changes have altered the ambiance of this new company.Original team was a near perfect balance of the classic yin/yang of business types as principals.It is not that BSH lacks high level expertise...it has professionalism in spades. But the personal touch has taken a hit. Now Dr. Storm and new front help have a tiger by the tail.Seems they need another Audiologist in the mold of their past partner to right this ship, and soon.I considered moving on, but as I liked them from the start, I will give them time to settle and the benefit of any doubt I may have. This is, after all, about hearing enhancement, not personalities.I will continue to recommend them, for now..

Personalized expert hearing services, for a price. They don’t bill your insurance, and I’m not even sure what is and is not covered, even though my visit was “authorized”. But if you can afford it, they are well worth it. It’s a funny specialty that perhaps is considered a luxury, which it shouldn’t be.

When it comes to hearing aids, there are a lot of options out there. And, I must admit, when I first started looking for hearing aids, it was very confusing. Because my hearing was getting worse and worse, I finally consulted my doctor. He cut right to the chase. Go see Dr. Storm. Shes in the building next door. I then asked him, What about Costco? His reply, They sell good products, but Id see Dr. Storm first. Shes a board, certified audiologist.He couldnt have given me better advice. The moment I walked into Dr. Storms office, it was like a cloud was lifted from over my head. She offered me a cup of coffee and then really listened to what I had to say. Dr. Storm asked me all sorts of questions. Why I thought my hearing was deteriorating? What type of music did I like listening to? Was I bothered by excessive noise in restaurants that made it difficult to have a conversation? We spent more than 20 minutes discussing my specific hearing situation.Then she cleaned my ears. Wow! Ive never had a more thorough cleaning. Yes, I did have a lot of wax, but thanks to Dr. Storm, she got it all out. She then gave me the most comprehensive hearing test I have ever experienced. Ive had my hearing tested before, but never by a trained audiologist. What a difference a degree makes!Dr. Storm then told me something that was a little alarming. She said, yes you do have mild hearing loss in your left year, but the extent of hearing loss in your right ear is much more severe. While I was cleaning your ears, I saw something that was a little unusual. When was the last time you went to an ENT? My reply, Not in some time. I know its been well over a year since Ive had my ears checked and you should know, I do suffer from a sinus condition. Dr. Storm then said, Well you do need hearing aids, but before fitting you, I want you to see an ENT. Its important that you find out if theres any medical reason thats blocking sound from reaching your ear drum.I thanked Dr. Storm and asked her how much I owed for the hour I spent with her. She said, nothing! Just be sure you have your ears examined by a specialist.After seeing my ENT and getting a green light to be fitted for hearing aids, (I didnt have a problem after all), I went back to Dr. Storm for another consultation. We then had a serious conversation about the various types of hearing aids which are available on the market and how each of them might relate to my specific condition. We also talked about price and service plans. I never knew such a thing as a service plan existed. Warranties, yes. but a service plan?What I like about Blue Sky Hearing, where Dr. Storm is a partner, is they not only offer various types of hearing aids to fit both your medical requirements as well as your budget, they also offer service plans which, in my opinion, are even more important than the hearing aid brand, you buy. These little, intricate devices not only need cleaning, they also need to be periodically adjusted and fine-tuned in order to maximize their effectiveness. My hearing aids need to be adjusted at least twice a year, usually after Apple asks me to update the software on my phone. Last year I bought the new Oticon OPN model which is Bluetooth enabled. Theyre absolutely amazing!I see Dr. Storm 2-3 times a year to have my hearing aids, serviced, cleaned and adjusted, all of which is included in the service plan I purchased with my new Oticon devices. I even get a box of batteries and cleaning supplies with each and every visit.I dont think theres a more knowledgeable, thorough, caring and competent audiologist in the entire Bay Area. Ive also heard great things about Dr. Storms associate, Dr. Gregoire. And, you know what, the coffee at Dr. Storms office is just as good as the day we first met, three years ago.Blue Sky Hearing has it all. A friendly atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, wide product selection, competitive prices and most important of all, fabulous service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
