Unlike many other tire shops I have been to, they are truly working for the benefit of the customers and not looking to make a quick dollar. They are efficient and mindful of customers time. I recently went in to replace/install new wheels and tires and also had a wheel alignment for my SUV. Great job and service (Carlos and Tito). They had also reached out to me about replacing old lug nuts for out of concern of my safety and others around me on the road. Yes, they were old and needed replacing. Cant beat service like that. Good pricing and job was done exactly in the time frame they had mentioned. I will return to Joes Tires, no question.

If you care about your car, this is about the last place you want to leave it. I watched as they screamed out of their driveway in my car and flew down University with the engine winding out, then returned and threw the transmission back and forth between gears to park it. In the cars history of nearly 250,000 miles it has never been treated as roughly as its time at this place. The front desk and management were apologetic enough but its clear that this kind of treatment to the cars they work on is standard operating procedure. Im being generous giving them 2 stars.

Today I got off work early and headed to Joes based on yelp and google reviews. The staff person said that my tires are still under warranty and that it would take 45 minutes to address the problem. I left the shop and returned 45 minutes later to find several staff people standing in the office chatting and my car parked exactly where I left it. The guy who checked me in motioned for someone to go deal with my car but I had to pick up my child from school so I couldnt wait another 45 minutes. No service. Super frustrated to have lost an hour I really could have used. Note in case your time is valuable too.

Excellent customer service. When I arrived I was met in the parking area by Tito. Who explained to me that he was aware of my appointment and precede to work of car. Seamless!!.good job boyz!

Came in for a pre-purchase inspection before purchasing a used car from someone off Facebook Market place. They did the inspection in under an hour and thoroughly explained everything needed for the car. The seller then unexpectedly backed out of the sale and Joes Tires went above and beyond and refunded me for the inspection. I highly reccomend them, incredible customer service. Thank you!

Carlos was incredibly friendly and helpful! I dont know much about cars and both times that Ive come in he was very patient and happy to answer any questions I had. Great service 10/10 would recommend!

Big screw in my tire. They had me in and out in less than an hour for under 40.00.

Fast and friendly. I just brought in a tire (loose, I was driving on a spare). I was going to just pick up the loose one and put in on myself as I was in a bit of a hurry. They insisted they install it, and could get it done in just a few minutes. Thank god I did, the tech spotted a shiny big ole nail in the shoulder of a different tire and the sidewall starting to bulge a bit. Their attention to detail may have saved lives.

I asked a couple times just to have my tire pressure checked but they tried to take my car in for a full repair. Also, one of the associates at the front desk made me as a woman extremely uncomfortable. I will not be going back.

Joes Tires is fantastic! They are honest mechanics and they do good work and they are on time. I hope everyone sees this review and they get a lot of business. I am a satisfied customer and I just had them look at my brakes.

Amazing customer service! The staff took the time to explain what I needed and helped me get the best price on parts. They were very flexible with accommodating my weird work schedule and did the work very fast. Special shout out to Carlos who was super friendly and helpful! Highly recommended!

I had a flat tire that I couldnt replace myself because I had aftermarket rims that wouldnt work with the factory tire changing gear. The manager was super helpful and the staff helped me identify that I couldnt use the spare with the lug nuts that I had and luckily they had spare set of lug nuts so I could be on my way. Thank you so much!

They are very nice and did a good job in repairing a puncture in my tire, without trying to rip me off by selling me a new tire. They will be my go to tire store for all tire and alignment needs from now on.

Car feels like new! Got new tires and an alignment, they were very professional. I have had alignments before and didnt really notice, but I think they actually did a great job on this one, the car drives noticeably different. I honestly did not shop around much, but I think what they were charging was fair and no surprises at checkout.

I came in to repair a tire with a nail in it. They said it would cost $35. Got there, they took the car inside, looked at it and said it was not repairable and tried to sell me a new tire. I said no thanks and left. Didn’t really believe them.Took it to Orozco the next day and they fixed it while I watched in 5 minutes for $25. They laughed when I said I had been told it was unrepairable. It was clearly an easy job.I won’t be back to Joe’s. Watch out they don’t try to sell you what you don’t actually need.

We went there with a slow leak and they told us it wasn’t fixable sidewalk puncture and had ordered a new 190$ tire already without asking us first. They tried to pressure us into having them fix it but we left to Dons tires down the street. Their diagnosis: nail puncture and fixed it for 35$Not okay to cheat customers like that.

2018:Great Guy. Best deals and service when it comes to tires.2019: Came for Oil Change. Got an appointment instantly. Also got my undercover protection tied up and free tire rotation. 😊2020: Did Oil change and alignments. My car rocks smooth again. 😊😊You come here and get disappointed. That never happens. They are a good solid local tire store. I bought my tires from them 2 years ago and their prices were almost as good as the big box stores. I just took my truck in today to have the tires rotated which they did quickly and at no charge. Good service, and good prices!

I was on my way to San Fransisco from Sacramento and my tire got a flat. I had to change my tire but wanted to fix the one I had. I called Joes tires 15 minutes before they closed and explained what happened. I asked them if I could come by and could be there in 10 minutes, 5 minutes before they closed, to which they happily agreed. They stayed after hours to make sure I was taken care of and they did an excellent job. I would highly recommend coming here.

Joe saved the day for me. Im 2,400 miles from home, I got a nail in my tire on a Saturday night so its now Sunday when few tire store are open. The very friendly guys at Joes made it no problem, taking care of it in less than 30 minutes. Yes, I know I lucked out with them having a technician just finishing up when I got there. Its a shame I have to revise my review, but my latest experience is totally unacceptable.Ive patronized Joes Tires for the past two years or so. I even wrote positive reviews on Yelp and Google, like the owner Jose requested.I brought my car in on a Sunday to have the tires I purchased here rotated. I was told they couldnt get to it for at least an hour but I was in no hurry so I dropped the car and got some lunch.I got a call about 70 minutes later saying they couldnt and wouldnt rotate the tires because theyre so unevenly worn. I was told that even though you did the rotation every 5,000 miles, you should have had two alignments done during that period and thats why the shoulders are wearing more quickly. Okay, so why in all the times that I brought my car in for rotation did no one mention this?I had an alignment done when I purchased the tires here originally, but not once since then did anyone mention I needed an alignment, and I certainly never rejected the service. Ive only ever had these tires serviced by Joes Tires.Now Im being told I need 4 new tires, and luck would have it, theyre having a buy 3, get 1 deal at the moment. Why on Earth would I continue to do business here when they clearly dropped the ball? Jose couldnt even be bothered to respond to my email.They dont have the best prices, but despite this I was happy to come here to support a small business, but they arent even! Theyre owned by the stealership, Toyota of Berkeley.Save your money and go to Costco, or if you want to support an ACTUAL local business, Dons Tires.Previous review:Ive always received super prompt and friendly service from everyone here. I could probably save a few bucks buying from Costco or Walmart tire centers but have you ever tried to pop in for a tire rotation there?! What a nightmare. Joes Tires always has time for me and any wait time is negligible (Trader Joes is right next door, get some shopping done). I drive 40-50k miles a year, so getting my tires rotated regularly is a must. In the year Ive had my latest set of tires from Joes Ive had them rotated 7 times(!) free of charge with no appointment necessary. Seriously love these guys (and lady).

I had a flat tire and needed an oil change the same day I needed to drive to Portland for a new job. Joes Tires staff (Gaby especially!) were very accommodating, helpful, and had fast service. Would recommend to a friend!

This is one of those places you go where its obvious they care about the customer experience. Quick, accommodating, friendly. I cant necessarily speak on the cost relative to other local options but its a nice experience (considering I had a nail in my tire).

I called about snow chains. They found what I needed, told me the price, and said that they would show me how to put them on and take them off. They have been very helpful.

Went in for tire patch yesterday for a nail in my tire, I received a call from them that my tire was ready and repaired, I went to get my car, drove to work, and a co-worker told me my tire is still flat... NOBODY TOOK THE NAIL OUT! And my tire is flat again...

Joes Tires is an excellent place to purchase tires and get an alignment. The techs are knowledgeable and have the know how to get the car into spec.

I got a flat tire early afternoon on a weekday. Joes said they could fix it same day if I brought it there at 5pm. Showed up at 5 with the tow truck only for them to say they couldnt do it. Luckily, the tow truck driver was in the know and took me to Orozcos in Berkeley where they fixed it in about 20 minutes and didnt even charge me for labor.
