An intimate experience. I saw Robert Townsends one man show. It was excellent. The lounge attached had a live band and performers. The drinks are good and the service is great. I reccommend this place! They also teach classes during the week.
A superb experience seeing Robert Townsend at the Marsh-Berkeley! The folks were so kind to our friend in a wheelchair and seated us all with him.
Great performances accessible to Bart public transportation jazz cabaret as well as a theater space so there are two ways to see the marsh and enjoy performances live theater in Berkeley
A place for actors to try out new material and to do monologues and interesting variety of other mostly solo shows.
Great location and staff. They have some of the best acts here. I high recommend this place for good live performances!
Wonderful salsa dancing place on Fridays! The cozy space inspires a sense of community. The ambience is lovely, friendly and DJ Antonio has the best Cuban music selection ! He will enrich & expand your knowledge of salsa music through his diverse and extensive selection of songs. If you enjoy dancing, wear comfortable shoes (dancers of all levels come). The location is convenient!
Jazz on Wednesday nights. $5.00at the door. Good music, great price
Great place to be on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. Sharp. $5 gets you in including a unique meal. Music starting at 7:30 on ending at 11 p.m. . This is a great place to hang
Seating a little tight. Loved the show by Robert Townsend *****
Don Reed is an incredible talent. His show Can you dig it was one of the best weve seen. Hysterical, touching, honest.
Tiny theater space with very good, fresh and interesting plays. We stayed in San Francisco and took the BART to Berkeley, it was really an easy trip.
Saw the Mushroom Cure by Adam Strauss there. Great show and it was a small yet intimate venue. Easily accessible and tickets are pretty cheap.
Decent theatre, very small venue. Parking is atrocious! Expensive lots or drive in circles for 30 minutes & still unable to find parking. Good line up of theatrical productions, comics, local talent as well as some with TV performances. Bathrooms are strangely located down a dark corridor, adjoining with the bar next door. Feels a bit claustrophobic in the theatre, but worth an occasional trip to see a production. Reasonable prices are a big plus, especially versus the city (San Francisco).
East 14th play was awesome with Don Reed
I like the small intimate setting.
Great show, Robert Townsend was amazing.
Every Wednesday from 6 to 10:30 Music & Song at the Marsh Cabaret Bar. Craig & MacGregor & Friends bring you fabulous music and food for only $5.
Wonderful 1 person shows. A real bay area treasure
Kind of a hole-in-the-wall with pipes full of running water flowing right over your head. But the people are nice and they have great acts!
Small but intimate theater. Clean but parking is a challenge.
Perfect for entertaining and everyone!
Great plays for great prices put on by friendly and interesting people
I saw the INCREDIBLE East 14th Street! Don Reed is a shooting-star!
My home theater. Love it deeply.
Community supported establishment. They always have nice shows but the seats are really uncomfortable
It seemed like there wasnt much room.
Great place to see a show and there are many weekly events
Fantastic intimate performing art shows with a great bar
Super intimate, very affordable. Face to face with the performer
