I’m new to the area and have been looking for a consistent barber for about a month, I stumbled across this place as a walk in and every single barber was booked throughout the day which I took as a good sign. They called Frank and he was open so I was nervous but he turned out to be better than I could imagine. Have been twice already and I couldn’t ask for a better cut. Thanks

I was so happy to see the level of respect this shop had for the pandemic covid. It was a great feeling to see everyone wearing proper ppe. They where very respectful in maintain everyone wearing a mask. You didn’t go in there and find people just hanging out chatting with no mask. They had a proper protocol and made it the up most important thing for them. I really felt safe and cared for. They cleaned all seats between hair cuts sprayed everything and also dressed up every thing. I had tried to get a cut in another place put I didn’t feel safe and had to leave everyone was not wearing mask the seats weren’t cleaned between patients. No real cares and everyone was so un professional.Oh and the most important part is I got an amazing hair cut and left with no worries

Hands down the best place to get your haircut in Bergen County. Barbers are professional, the atmosphere is modern, and the vibe in the shop is always amazing. Ive been coming here for a few years. That’s my first time at this barber shop. Frank took his time with everything he did and the results were simply amazing… very friendly, very hospitable, and the best thing about the place is safety! They make sure you sanitize your hands, take your temperature, plastic cover on the seats and when you remove your mask for the beard they actually wear an extra face cover. A must visit if you need I good hair cut!

Warren runs a great shop and the crew of barbers are all skilled and make you feel welcome. The place is clean, and everyone is courteous and professional. The appointment process is so easy and their attentiveness to COVID is impressive.

Since COVID19 his shop has been sterilized and has hand sanitizer by the entrance for all who enter. I started coming here about 7 years ago when I used to live in town. I moved about 40 minutes away about 4 years ago. I still take the drive every two weeks, with a great experience every time. All the barbers take pride in their work. Warren has been taking care of me since then and I will continue to come here for life.

We went today to Main Street since they gave a fab haircut to my 4 year old son and husband back in January. Due to Covid we havent stepped out much and both my son and husband needed a haircut badly. After many months today I decided to visit themExtremely happy with the experience. They are following all rules of sanitizing, providing ppe for every customer, had masks and gloves on.Temperature check was done at the entrance and a form duly filled following protocol for Covid 19. Anyone looking to go for a haircut pls go without hesitation to this place. Highly recommended.

I have been going here for the past three years and have never been disappointed with any of my cuts at all. They always exceed my expectations. Elvin is one of the best barbers that I have been cut by. He is professional yet caring and is mindful of how he cuts your hair. He is a seasoned barber and it is evident in the skillful manner in which he cuts hair. He accommodates his clients and will schedule them early in the morning, late in the evening, and even on Sunday. Its a shame that he is being forced to leave his current location but where he goes, I will always follow because he is that good!

Extremely disappointed with my experience at Main Street Barber Shop. I heard great things about the shop both from friends and online, and Im sad to say it did not live up to expectations. To start off I called in and was told to come in at 4:30. I came in and I was not seated by my barber until 5:15. I understand that barbers can be backed up by other customers, but making customers (especially those who call in) wait 45 minutes is unacceptable. I would have come in at a later time if the person on the phone told me to do so. Once I was seated, I asked my barber for a simple one Inch off, using scissors all around. My barber grimaced and said that one Inch off wasnt that much and said that he wasnt sure how it would look if he didnt use clippers for the sides. I’ve never had a barber tell me that. Also, no customer wants a barber who looks uneasy about giving them a haircut. To his credit, he did say he could try it, but after seeing his expression I decided to leave. I guess the shop specializes in specific styles that involve clippers, and not simple haircuts with scissors.The shop was nice and clean inside with a laid-back attitude. I’m sure many have had a great experience with it, but unfortunately I will not be coming back.

Barber cancelled on first appointment. Not a problem. I understand things come up. I showed up 4 days later for a second appointment at my scheduled time. 15 minutes later he tells me he has to cut one more person. Again understandable that a person can get backed up. What the icing on the cake was when he puts the guy ahead of me in the chair and THEN THE BARBER LEAVES!! He said he’d be back soon. This is just taking the customer for granted. With new barbershops literally popping up every week in this area you should do better at customer retention.

Clients should understand that every haircut is unique, so when meeting your new barber set your expectations, be vocal and do not leave it up to guess work. My barber is Scott and after the second haircut he had my haircut style memorized. In regards to some saying that they had to wait, the simple solution would be to make an appointment. Theyre reasonably available to walk-ins, but who wants a barber that is not in demand. One should be suspect of a barber with too much free time on his hands lol. The good ones always work better on appointments. This shop is fairly priced. Quick and convenient service, what more can you ask for? If this doesnt work for you I hear Supercuts retirement age stylists can butcher your cut for cheap! You always have a choice!

If i could give this barber shop a 0 i would, i went there about a year ago i honestly dont know how it is now but my friend who get cut there always get jacked up and never end up going back the same case was with me. i made an appointment with Scot and i came in and sat me down put on his headphones and he went at it didnt even ask what i wanted i didnt just get a haircut I didnt want but a got cut and messed up never going back there

I googled for the highest rating barber shop in Bergenfield and Main Street Barber Shop was the one on top of the list. I went here as a walk-in customer with my 4 yr old son a little past 7pm. They close at 8. The shop is clean and very spacious, i actually felt that at last i found a nice barber shop close to my house. When I went inside, none of the 3 hair cutters there even bothered to say, hello sir what can we do for you, or goodevening are you here for a haircut? So i sat there with my son waiting til 8 pm. I’m sure they heard my little boy saying “are you next now daddy?”— after seeing customers leave one after the other. I was waiting for that guy to call me “your turn now sir”, unfortunately i noticed him clean up his things and like ready to call it a day. I asked if he can do me next and he said while checking his watch, “oh im sorry, i thought you are waiting for him(pointing to another customer”. What the?? Did he even see me talk to that customer?? Anyone of them could have asked me earlier what was i there for in their shop. One of the hair cutters said, its okay, i got you, you’re next. But apparently, i still need to wait for another 5 mins or more because he was still shaving his client. Feeling disappointed and ignored as a walk-in and first time customer of this Barber Shop, I and my son left. And my son kept asking, “daddy you’re not having haircut anymore?” I said yes, the guys there are bad. We will go to another shop tomorrow, sorry buddy that i kept you waiting. Are you hungry? He said, yes daddy. Me too!😞😤

I was a walk in and I have to say, not very good. They rushed my hair cut, and didnt ask any questions as to how I wanted things done like the side burns or back. Do not go here. And they are over priced.
