Do yourself a favor and stay far away. Been with them for 2 years now and for the past month and a half my internet has been going out 10-20 times a day for like 10 minutes at a time. Have called them 6 times and every time they give me the runaround trying to get me to reconnect the router/modem. It’s not the equipment it’s there service!! On top of that I have 500 mb/s internet and I have never seen it top 80 mb. Worst company I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with!! Got my Cox router ready to go for tomorrow.
Please, please, please listen to these reviews. They are all so accurate. I would give 0 stars if I could. Here was our experience with wow:Our internet, for the past 6 weeks, has been in and out. Weve called and received support via phone several times. Finally they sent someone out to check out home equipment. We were told everything should be working. About an hour after the technician left, we still had spotty service. We called that same evening and they said the tech would be back in the morning. He came back, check out the lines outside our home and determined that it was an issue there. We were told someone would be out to replace the line within the next three days. Two weeks later, no one showed. Countless times we have called to try to resolve this and we got the runaround. Finally this past week I called to speak with a manager. I was told that all of the managers were in a meeting and I would receive a call back THAT DAY. I received no call. I called back two days later only to be told that the managers were in a meeting and I would receive a call back. I said no, Ill wait. Finally I was being connected with a supervisor and the called DROPED. 3 DAYS AND 40 MINUTES WAITING ON A SUPERVISOR! No one called back. I called back waited 20 minutes only to be told, strongly, no one was available and I would receive a call back that day. I DID NOT RECEIVE A CALL. I called back today, was finally in touch with a supervisor who mid-sentence put me on hold, did not tell me why. Waited another 45 minutes and no one answered. Needless to say, we cancelled service. As we cancelled, the customer service representative tried to tell us we should have called to fix this issue before just cancelling...the WORST customer service experience of my life. DO NOT GO WITH WOW!!

Worst Service! My service is very unreliable, Never get more then 80 to 100 for a download speed when paying for 500. Hell, I would be happy with 1/2 that. They actually have the balls to charge me 2.00 a month for a paper bill, when I should be charging them 2.00 every time my service drops off. I will be looking for another provider, even if it cost more as long as I can get away from Wow.
The only way WOW will wow you is with how terrible of a service it is. Internet runs fine, but that is only when it does run. For the last 6 months everyday it goes out at least 10-15 times a day. On a lucky day it cuts off then comes back on, on a bad day it cuts off and stays off for more then a half an hour. That is multiple times a day. No luck when it comes to customer service either. Every time we call we get the runaround, Im convinced the service techs that answer the phone are trained to do everything they can to not get a service tech out. Over the last year weve had 3 different modums put in. Two of them are obviously refurbished. The one we have now even has a scratch on it. These new modums do nothing to help the issue either. If i could give this service/company 0 stars i would.
Trying to switch- the first installation attempt wasn’t hooked up right so I had to wait four days for another technician to hook it up correctly and got it working for 20 minutes and then it stopped again. They said it would be another week before another technician can come out and try to fix it. I canceled and I was still sent a bill for service and a technician fee. I called to get it resolved and two days later my credit card was billed for another amount. So much wasted time on hold with them with their really long wait times. It felt like a total scam.
The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have been hung up on while trying to get help with my inconsistent internet. It drops from time to time plus not getting the speeds I was promised which is 1,000 down. At times I am only getting 30 down. They treat you like complete trash and will not help you. I normally do not write negative reviews but I want others to know: AVOID!!!
Been a customer for years!! Awesome service usually..But, within the recent year or so the customer service seems to have shifted overseas or something and cannot get a representative that understands whats going on. I had one simple issue and for some reason these guys do not understand how to do anything.. Ive been shifted around departments and have explained my situation to over 15 different techs across 4 phone calls regarding the same problem!! The left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing.This is seriously impacting my productivity and needs to be resolved ASAP! What happened to this company???
Ordered 200 speed internet for the promo price of $29.99. Install day was supposed to be Monday August 16, I was apparently forgotten about. So we rescheduled for Saturday the 21 @ 12-2 with a $25 credit to go on the bill for the inconvenience. Saturday, the tech arrived after 2pm. Worked for 15 minutes, realized he did not have enough cable. He had to leave to go get cable from another tech. He returned after 3pm. The job was finally finished some time after 5pm. So my whole afternoon with my children was ruined. The bill came in the mail... $49.99. They are billing me for 500 speed internet. There is no $25 credit on the bill. When you call customer service you will be on hold for an extremely long time (30+ minutes and I have still not spoken to a human yet). I tried to use their service to chat with customer service on their website. Customer service will not give me the promo of $29.99 because they no longer have that promo going, but they had it when I ordered my internet August 16! I am new customer and extremely unsatisfied with the lack of customer service this company has. Ill post to their social media as well to see if I can get this taken care of before my bill is due, in 6 days. BEWARE!
This is extremely disappointing to come to leave a review only to see it already has a horrible rating and on top of it no one responds. This tells me it doesn’t matter. Unfortunately where we live, this is the only company we can use and we are in the process of figuring this out. Talking to customer service is useless. I’m hoping we just have a bad connection and it can be fixed. Is frustrating and annoying to watch a movie or a show only to have it pause so many times and for so long we miss the whole show. We aren’t steaming and paying for cable so it’s not cheap- if it was cheap I can understand we get what we pay for but this is just crazy. If we had a choice we would have cancelled or not even started after seeing these reviews.
Got WOW internet as they claimed fast speeds at a low price. The internet spent more time being down. Try to contact for service, they are rude and want to send a tech out and charge you more money for their equipment not working. Then when we canceled service, it took them so long to send a box to return their equipment that they tried to make us pay for the equipment. When we told them we have not received the return box they said they were sending another one. Then said “we will send another return box, it could take a while”. So rather than remove the equipment charge they just left it and made it seem we were just holding the stuff.Terrible customer service and internet that don’t work well at all. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!
Would give zero stars if possible. Internet RARELY goes a day without needing to reset the modem. Speeds vary from the 500 we pay for, to .5. No help at all over the phone. Constant random and secret charges. You couldnt pay me to sign another contract with them.

WOW is literally one of the worst internet company’s out there. They scam you and tell you they will send people to fix your internet but I know more then the person the send usually. Every time they have sent a person, they made it worse somehow ans school was all online so they really don’t care, they just want your money….lastly they charge you money no matter what is happening weather the internet is working or not. Their customer service is terrible and don’t know how to do their work.

Horrible. My internet service had a 2 versus the 100 they advertise. Came out 3 times and still charged for full service. I have to reboot every day. Their customer service people dont work in USA . Barely able to understand ( not her fault). I waited an hour to speak . My service wasnt available for my virtual with my physician. I will look into spectrum or ANYONR .they must be better than wow.

I have been with WoW for nine years. I liked the equipment, but the billing department is incorrect every single month with my bill and I have to spend an hour every month to get it fixed. For the last 18 months, I have had problems with my service. My internet is terrible, and its effecting my cable too. I have had someone from WOW out 13 times in the last year and a half. I am still having major problems. I have written certified letters and am no better off now than I was for the last 18 months. If there is someone at this company that can help me instead of taking advantage of me, I would like to know who that is. If I have to go to a different company, I will, very soon.Thank you for putting me through hell for 18 months before I leave your company.

Constantly sending me mail advertising their service and they will not stop until you purchase it. I had to request for this to stop as its getting very annoying and this is a very poor business tactic. Shouldnt have to request a supposed professional company to stop spamming you with mail.
This up-and-coming communications provider is doing quite well with me. They have cheaper rates than many, yet their outages are few. They have great customer service. I have internet service with them and spoke with Justine in regard to a question I had today about hooking up a desktop manually. She was quite pleasant to speak with and seemed confident in speaking what she knew. It is too late tonight to try her suggestion, but I will try it tomorrow. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT get WOW for your internet service! We have had it less than 2 weeks and we have had nothing but problems! The second day we had it, the internet started going out multiple times a day which is a problem when you need it for school and work. We have had a tech over to fix it and another is coming tomorrow. We call them every other day about this problem and it still keeps happening. This is unacceptable service. We are going back to Cox despite their prices hikes and terrible customer service. At least we know we will have dependable internet service.
Hooked up cable box to the tv. Box was not working spent 1hr on phone with customer service. 45 minutes on hold to find out it was the box. Drove to the local store to get replacement and was told to make appointment. Next appointment is next Wednesday. Not good. Services when working are good. When there is an issue good luck with anything .
I pay for 500 mbps and only get .5. I have had techs out, etc, purchased Motorola 8600 Docsis 3.1 modem, still no luck. I then went back to the WOW stock modem to see if it worked better, it did not. I was told it was my wireless desktop. There is 500 mpbs coming into the house but no device connects that fast. I may switch back to ATT which I hate but at least I got a true 100 mbps at all times.
I dont really know where to start from because this wow tv internet is horrible.If you play any video games or online games, I advice you not to get this wifi.The wifi is very delayed and spikes all day.When we call customer service,they act like they dont know what to do and they over charge you just for trash wifi.sad

If you live in the Cleveland/Parma area do not get this service. If you watch live tv/streams or if you are a gamer who wants to avoid lag spikes I would recommend any other service such as coxs, spectrum, or at&t. The server response times are horrible form this ISP, I bought the 1gb down plan because it was cheaper than 150mb down from coxs and I instantly regretted it. Spend the extra few bucks for a reliable service that your family will enjoy.

I will admit we had great 24/7 internet, phone and cable service for about a year before this lost signal problem started. All services come and go throughout the day for seven weeks, now. Three tech visits replaced all co-ax, splitters, connectors and the equipment from telephone pole thru my home to the router/ gateway. Each tech kept replacing things till the signal temporarily fades back in - and say it’s fixed! The last tech even put the gateway in the basement closest to the co-ax coming into the house. He worked hard and I just knew he would find the problem, if it was in my house. He left like his pants were on fire as soon as the signal faded back in and things started working again. The signal faded out again within a couple hours. Lots of band-aids. The problem remains. Today, I emailed tech support with my dilemma, requesting bucket truck service to the feed to my home. There is nothing more a visit to my home can accomplish, so what is tech support going to do? Send another technician !!! That’s what they do. Read from a script they must follow, so here we go round in circles....I just want off this merry go round.
Want an internet provider that will promise you good deals and keep your devices running fast/smoothly? Don’t buy Wow Internet. Every day we experience the same “outage” in our area and are unable to have wifi for hours before it is fixed on their end. We have had WOW internet service for several years. Good price for the 100mbs which is enough power for our needs.Customer service is pretty good. A little hard to understand at times.The workers that have come out to the house to fix the line coming into the house, have been nice, safe and responsible.

I spent over 9 hrs on the phone with these people in a 2 day span to finally have a supervisor fix the situation, at least I thought. Nothing about this service is good. It constantly disconnects and cannot be reconnected. I have had several people put to my house to set up new routers that are “better” than the last to only be slapped in the face. Wow does nothing but lie and provide terrible internet service. There is no reason that i am paying almost $100 a month and it constantly goes out. Thought the cheaper rate would be worth it but this is a joke you would be better off spending the extra $100 for a service that is consistent and high quality!

The download speeds are there - when it works. However, you need thoughts and prayers to ensure that it maintains functionality. Otherwise you have to pray their crack team of customer service reps can help you. Spoiler alert: they usually cant as they always, ALWAYS want to test your modem remotely and not send a tech out.

They dont deliver on their upload and download speed. Youll never get what you signed up for. Then they also tack on additional charges without discloses this to you, like offering you a free modem and wifi beacon that theyll charge you for after 3 months. Bill would increase $4-7 every month without explanation. Refused to port our landline phone number to new service provider. Contract renewed automatically without notifying us. Didnt receive email notice about renewal. AVOID!
We had WOW almost 10 years or longer. We had horrible service since March most days my internet would go down for hours at a time!! This was horrible working from home I never asked for one penny of credit. So we moved in November and they are trying to charge me a$158 termination fee!!! I asked when we cancelled our cable and picked up the most expensive internet if I had a contract and both me and my wife were guaranteed by the rep we didn’t!!! I hope they make this right because if not I will let everyone I know, know how horrible they are and how bad their service is!!!

Honestly, I wouldnt even give them 1 review. I have been trying to get in touch with someone regarding a refund because of cancel of service. I have called 9 times in the past 2 months trying to resolve this issue. They are refusing to escalate it to proper management and claim they have emailed me and called me several times, but they are calling a disconnected number that they have been aware of that has been changed and I have received no email. The worst part is that if I owed them money they would be calling me and harassing me for the money, but now that they owe me money they refuse to cooperate. They work with you when you are paying and their service is good, but once you cancel your service its like they want to wash their hands of you.

For the love of god dont get WOW internet. It drops connection every single day and when it is connected youll experience massive latency in gaming and constant buffering while streaming video. If you call customer service to complain youll notice it get even worse.
Speed varies at time of day. Rarely do you get the speed you buy and always less. At night when everyone is home the speed drops. Calling tech support takes forever and you get nothing done.
Technicians are lazy. Customer Service is under equipped to the max and four hours of being on the phone with their support and I finally got thru to a supervisor. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. Seriously save yourself the trouble
I wish that there was an option to rate WOW no stars at all.. But one is the lowest you can pick so I guess that’s the route I have to go. My wifi has been out for going on five days now. I have a child doing 5 days a week homeschooling that he is not able to do or participate in because WOW can’t do their job for a service that I pay for. I have called a couple times a day for the last five days and they told me that a technician can’t come out until Friday (a week after my service went out). This is beyond ridiculous. All of the TVs, phones, school laptops, tablets, runs off of wifi. I have AT&T cable and can’t even watch that because the box for it connects to wifi not a cable line. Their customer services reps don’t even know what they are talking about or doing more then half of the time. I wish there was a wider range of internet providers in Brunswick because WOW is TRASH

Very bad internet service. I get dropped daily 2 to 4 times. I have been on the phone with these people so many times ( which was the Phillipines several times). They tried to charge me $50. for them to find the problem Outside my home. I am weighing the options and considering breaking the 2yr contract that Other cable/internet providers dont have.
Same exact review as the one before me. Great service and price when it works. Problem is it goes out several times a day. I have had technicians out more than 7 times in the 9 months I’ve had the service. The worst part is as much as I have to call in to tech support, they don’t have any call center or support in America. Every time you call your going to be talking to someone in India. That wasn’t the case when I called to sign up for the service. When they want you to get their products the sells departments are call in America. But once you have the service and need help it’s all in India and they can give less than a damn about the issue. They know nothing else other than unplug the modem then plug it back in
Worst experience ever. I received mailers and flyers every single day for six months. I finally decided to switch services and upgrade my internet speed. I entered my info in their website which says they will call you back about setting up new service. I told them I wanted to be a customer. Two days later I finally received a call. Only I had already set it up on the internet myself the following day. In fact, the installer was scheduled to arrive at I was talking to the man who finally called. The installer says he cant do the install because they didnt port my phone number over. I explained that their website never asked for my phone number. He said that is a pattern that keeps happening. Ok. Website glitch or something, right? I can understand. He AND I talk to the supervisor and we set it up for three days later after the number can be ported. My appt is for an 8-10 window. Its 10:20 and no one is here. Im missing work for this! I give my son instructions that if the guy ever shows up to have him call me. He does around 10:30. I explain to him this is two times Ive missed work. I cant wait time anymore. He assures me he will be there tomorrow at 8 am sharp. He will put a hold on the install or something so they seemed him there first thing in the morning. Guess what. 9:00 am still no installer. WOW their customer service really, really sucks.If you got all day to wait around going these people will show up, good for you. But most people would prefer a call if youre missing a huge two hour window completely. But wow didnt call. Either time. The first installer that showed up was awesome. That young man deserves a raise. He was polite, on time and honest. But the rest of these people arent very good at their jobs and probably deserve to lose them to someone who can actually provide a good experience to potential customers. Thats how a business makes money. Ill need posting this review everywhere WOW, because you wasted my time repeatedly.
Went round and round with these people over poor service. When I catch you in a lie I will never trust you again. Service man never showed up. After telling them we were going to discontinue them,,, they sent a new modem. That was 3 weeks ago. Next time we have service issues they will be history.

I have a cable line hanging over my driveway. I was just told I have to wait a week to get it removed..... This is the most ridiculous response I have ever heard. What am I supposed to do, go get a hotel for the night because I cant park in my driveway? Ive never had such a terrible response.... How can this not be an emergency?????
Terrible internet service. Very over priced for the quality of service they provide. Multiple outages daily. Unfortunately they are the only high speed option in my area or I would have dropped them years ago. Please stay far away from this company! You have been warned.

Had no problem with WOW until we moved to a location that doesnt carry WOW as a provider. Because we had to cancel we were charged a cancellation fee. Called multiple times to discuss and they wouldnt waive the fee. Never heard of coordinating a home sale to coincide with your cable/internet provider. If they were in my new city, we would have transferred service. Doesnt seem right as its not our fault they dont provide service in this area!

Ive had 7 techs out in 2 months for terrible, slow or no service at all and good luck calling to troubleshoot - youll be on hold for a very long time. I thought AT&T was bad but Wow is so much worse. Run, run far away!
There is just no reason to use WOW! as the company is inefficient, lacks competitive quality, and struggles to remain consistent in their services. I would recommend that you steer clear, so as to not waste hours upon hours of your life calling WOW! to try and get your internet working, just to have to call them again. DONT... Just dont.
Switched over for their $200 gift card offer (false advertising) and cheaper rates from spectrum. Followed all their guid lines and was told that we would receive it at the end of may. It is now the middle of July and 5 hours spent (5 hour plus phone calls)talking to people with very thick accents . To call again and was told by them that we would be better off going to another provider. They never noted our account that we had called in.to top it off after I switched back to spectrum I have to wait for them to send a tech out because wow cut off the other providers cable ends.

I only gave a 1 star because there is no option for a 0. I moved into a different area and tried this service. The service was not that great and is differently not worth your money but I was tolerating it. However, before the Pandemic. I signed up for AutoPay which I normally do not do but its a savings off your bill. I have my regular payment in my account well before it was do and available for them to take. Maybe about some weeks later not even the next bill time yet and this place tried to take last month amount along with this months May 2020 and this was before May 2020 even came. I then blocked them from my account before they cause problems with my account. This is a perfect example on why I really DO NOT like the Autopay system. I know there is a such thing called Human Error but in this case NO and their Customer Service terrible.
I returned my WOW equipment today. Got a much better deal through Spectrum for $480 less per year! I dont think the drop box for returning equipment was padded inside, as it sounded like what I put in fell onto a hard surface inside it.

Terrible customer service. They overcharged me for over a year and will only refund 3 months. They are very reluctant to send anyone out to investigate why the internet keeps going out multiple times a day and yes, we rebooted the modem! And they charge $1 every month to receive a paper bill.

Cant give any stars but have to give one to post this. Installed WOW 3/2/19. Cable box went down 4/1/19 and after hour of troubleshooting, appointment 4/3/19 between 8-11 am. Texted at 11:40 that it would be 2 hours later before they could arrive. We had to leave for the day and next appointment could not be until 4/8, so 7 days without cable! Next bill had $50 service call charge to fix their cable box! After arguing with them they took the charge off acting like I was getting a deal. 8/11/19, TV freezing up all day, so called WOW. After 48 minutes on the phone trouble shooting, the cable box would not work at all. Earliest appointment is 8/15/19 between 8-11 am. 4 days without cable! And we cannot pick up new box, they must install. Called today to try for earlier time and she advised 8/19 was open. Really??? The WOW motto as you wait on hold is connect you to worldwide reliable services with award winning customer service. That is a lie!!! And the operators are very difficult to understand. Out of Manila, Philippines. Very unimpressed. If you have other options, dont use WOW.
Save yourself the time and pay the extra money for a better service option. I got the highest package available and experienced constant problems. When I called tech support to express that the 2G was not running properly and my in home system was having a hard time staying connected they offered me no solution and told that’s how it is and to connect my system to 5G. My system can only run on 2G and again she said that is the only solution I have for you.
Worst customer service Ive ever experienced. I plan to cancel. Every time I call I get people who cannot speak English from who knows where. They interrupt me, talk over me and I cannot understand them. Problems not solved. I HATE WOW. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR WOW.
I first got this internet option because of the price, being a first time buyer of internet. I don’t watch tv, and only have a few devices that I use regularly, so $39 a month for their lowest option seemed awesome! At first it was great! Internet worked. Never had to download anything huge, so I can’t speak to speed, but all of my video’s played nicely, and I could even play games online. But 2 years later, that $39 jumped up to $61, and now my internet is constantly cutting out. I don’t know much about tech or the internet, but I tried to do as much research as possible to get it fixed. Nothing worked. Now i’m switching to spectrum because its so annoying to be watching a video, then have it cut out for 10 mins cuz your internet decided to die for the 5th time that day.
I was able to get rid of my gym membership because I get my daily cardio in resetting my modem every 1-2 minutes. This is by far the most unreliable internet service I’ve ever had and I was with AT&T uverse before. I’d rather have dial up service than ever use WOW again I’ve reset my modem more times in one day using WOW than I did in 2 years with cox.
Wow’s prices went way up and out internet speed was terrible. We switched to Spectrum and got a much better deal with faster internet. We received boxes to mail back our equipment and this morning at 7:50am (Sunday on FATHERS DAY) My husband received a text message asking if the equipment was ready. Then 10 minutes later at 8am on a Sunday on FATHERS DAY, Chris, from Wow was knocking repeatedly on our front door asking for the equipment. I am so furious! We received boxes to mail the equipment back!!! Who comes to homes on a Sunday morning on FATHERS DAY to wake up an entire family for cable equipment? I am disgusted!
Horrible service. Why is it everyone I talk to at WOW is from another country across the world? They are awful. You used to be a good company but you have outsourced your workforce and now your company stinks. I’m going with another company. I would never recommend you.
Had issues from day one! Took them over a week longer to install services than they told me originally! They kept missing appointments to install. Said they would call 30 mins before arrival and NEVER DID! Kept lying and saying no one was here for the appointments and that we were the ones at fault for missing appointments. I work from home! I was here every single time and a few times EVERYONE WAS HOME! YET THEY STILL SAID THEY SHOWED UP AND NO ONE WAS HERE?! YEA RIGHT! They have non stop increased my bill while removing channels! My bill is almost twice what it originally was and I only added $10(+ taxes and fees of course) extra this whole time. Im left on hold for 30 mins to an hr AT A TIME when I call AND IT ENDS UP BEING 2+ HRS BEFORE I GET DONE WITH THEM! Or I get disconnected all together and then have to go through it all over again. Services are constantly going in and out! For Gods sake I lose services more often than when I had satellite! No one responds to emails and when u ask to speak to a supervisor the employee thats already on the phone with you always claims they are a supervisor! This is not a very good company and with all the options that there are today they rly need to step their game up! There is no reason for us to stay with a cable company that is failing to do their jobs correctly anymore! Its not 2005 anymore! Im about to cancel them and eat their joke of a cancelation fee! I mean this is pretty simple. U offer services, you need to follow through and provide those services, we pay the bill. Simple as that. But we should not be forced to pay for services we are not receiving. We should not have channels removed from us. And we absolutely should not be having our bill increase every few months without us adding any additional services. We also need to be able to speak to someone that knows what the hell they are doing when we have problems. Customer service is a total joke! I rly was better off with satellite TV! It was only about $30 more a month and I had more channels and less problems! When I had an issue I was also able to speak to customer service! Im truly done with this company!
Terrible service. Goes out randomly. Nothing can be done except have a technician out. They’re great. However, it just happens again and again. Wash, rinse, repeat. Absolutely obnoxious.
Taking the time to write this post only because appreciation should be given when due. Moved from AT&T 2 months back because we were having internet down times too often. We were apprehensive to go with WOW because of the Google reviews of 2/5, but still decided to take the plunge as the best rated AT&T was really poor. We have been very happy with WOW thus far, from a connectivity/speed standpoint. We did interact with customer service during this period once, and that was a pleasant exchange too. Giving them a 5 for now, will modify it in case we have poor experiences in the future, but hoping we dont! Fingers crossed!
It’s so bad! Never can ever get an answer as to why our internet goes out on a daily basis!
