For the moving in and application process, Ive been trying to reach the on-site office member because there were questions which cannot be answered by off-site team members.Even if I left tons of messages to on-site team members, I never get back response from them, unless I walk-in to the office and physically talk to them.Agents receiving my call was always off-site team, they were very nice and kind, but they cannot do anything other than just leaving messages to them.

I had an issue with the heater in my bathroom. Maintenance employee was very helpful and thorough. He made sure the heater was working properly and answered all of the questions that I had.

A friend was denied a lease there after she paid almost $400. They told her if she got a cosigner with enough income that would work. I did that and have plenty of income and they still denied her plus charged me an additional $65. Do not do business with these Crooks. They didnt bother to make a phone call and explain the reason so she wouldnt have this problem again. What is someone supposed to do cough up $400 every time they want to try to get an apartment people dont have that kind of money. So now shes terrified to do this again for fear of losing another $400. By the way Ive been living in the neighborhood for 21 years, own the property and have worked at the same company for 26 years. I received an email saying my credit score of 730 something isnt High Enough according to Credit Karma its over 750. Updated August 16th the $250 fee returned.

The hallways in the building I am living in smell pretty bad, I had no hot water in my unit (which has now been fixed), spiders on my walls, broken outlet (now fixed) and broken garbage dispenser (now fixed). I feel bad writing this review, but these are definitely things I would want to know before moving into an apartment. Not a good first impression, but glad most things were taken care of. I must say the maintenance crew was very quick to respond to my request.

I wanted to talk about how impressed I was with maintenance team member Jason, I requested service yesterday and within literally 10 to 20 minutes, he was knocking at my door. He saw I needed a new AC unit and among other things. Jason fixed everything in the morning today once the AC unit was good and ready to be installed. If your looking for a place to stay, just know the Renew on York maintenance is amazing. Thank you again Jason I really appreciate it

I lived in these Apartments for 9 years. I moved in when it was under a different management company and it was a nice place to live, but once it was taken over by ReNew it became a horrible place to live, they didnt want to make any repairs, raised the rent to ridiculous rates unless you sign a 15 month lease, and is not the cleanest place. There are bedbugs in the building and my friend saw a roach in the hallway. Not to mention they have very strict rules, you cant grill and they threatened to tow our car for no reason.. Not to mentioned they over charged us for the water bill when we moved out and then after we moved out tried to charge us again. There was smoking, (cigarettes and Marijuana) in the building when it was supposed to be a smoke free community. It is the worst place to live and I dont recommend it.

So far, a decent move in experience with the exception of a few issues that should’ve been fixed and checked prior to move in which were not BUT maintenance has been contacted and they were quick to respond which was reassuring.

The maintenance man was excellent, left the area clean, and was very courteous.

Looking for a new home can overwhelming. Liz made our visit to this complex smooth and informative. She answered all our questions and gave a great tour. Im looking forward to making this our new home! :)

I have had such a great experience here. Just moved in. Jamauri was so welcoming and took great care of us and made sure everything went smooth. Sarah was wonderful and Chris who worked on everything I needed. Amazing staff. And great place to live.

I put the request in on Monday June 28, 2021 expressing a high urgency because we had NO light in the kitchen. I had to use my dining room light to see so I could cook dinner from Sunday thru Wednesday and we left for vacation on Thursday July 1, 2021. I received a text message on Monday July 5, 2021 a week later asking me for my opinion on how my service was. Well We returned home today Tuesday July 6th and yes we have light in the kitchen but all the lights in the kitchen are not coming on. In the ResidentPortal it asks how would I want to be contacted and I checked via phone and left my number though I know you have it and no I did not receive any communication from anyone until Monday July 5th in a text asking for my opinion on the service rendered. 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾 Not happy tenants. This is not the first time we’ve had to have service done on the kitchen light. Not sure what needs to be done to rectify the light issue, but clearly it has not been done.

Jason took care of us! Fixed our outlets kept everything looking good a clean and worked fast! He was very efficient and friendly when working!

I live in building 120 and the maintainence staff here is very helpful. Especially Mr. Luis Rivera, he is always on time, answers all our questions, and goes out of his way to ensure everything in our apartment is in good condition. ✅👍🏻

I have enjoyed living at ReNew on York since moving in on August 1st, 2020.I have enjoyed my experience so far is the overall amenities provided at a reasonable cost. Each unit has a balcony, dishwasher, and thick walls that block out most sounds.On top of the in-unit benefits, we also have a massive parking lot that is monitored by towing service - which prevents people who dont belong here at night from being on the premises. There is also a variety of walking trails, big laundry rooms with 15 dryer/washers each, pools, & a fitness center.

The person living in the apartment over me let their sink run over and I woke up to lots of water flooding all over my kitchen floor,cabinets, counter topThe water ran over onto my living room rug down the walls. When the maintenance man whose name was Mr.Louis got there he immediately ran up stairs to alert the person above me! He then returned with two other maintenance men all whom were very professional went to work cleaning the water up. They even took food out of cabinets and made sure every thing was dry! Louis and other maintenance guy ripped the wet padding from underneath the area of carpet that was wet! Mr.Louis then left and returned with an oversized fan to dry carpeting which I kept on overnight to dry,he return this Morning and pick up fan and put my ceiling tile back which was left open over night to dry out. I now need someone to come back and replace ceiling tiles that were damaged because of the water and someone to tack down carpeting that was pulled up as well as some touch up painting! Renew maintenance was quick when called. They did an excellent and professional job of cleaning up the mess the water made! Thank you

Since the installation of the Parcel Pending lockers, I believe package theft has gone down quite a bit. At least for me it has. I love the little balcony the apartment has and I use it frequently. The kitchen/bathroom are a bit outdated, but still functional. The management staff are all super kind and helpful and are doing their best during these stressful times. They should invest in a collapsable, easy-to-carry step-stool for the person that cleans the elevators; who is clearly too short to reach the top. Overall, this is a pleasant place to live.Edit 03/2021:Mr. Shooper on the maintenance staff is super kind and respectful, works efficiently and is very knowledgeable. The maintenance staff on the whole are very good at what they do. I’m happy to have them come in my home to help make these little improvements. They make all the difference. Thanks!

We have been here 10 years. It has been a joy to live here. We just moved to a new apt. in the same bldg. We couldnt be happier. Big thanks to Amanda in the office, who could not have been more helpful & gracious during our recent move. And everyone in the office is just superb.We really enjoy living at Renew on York & look forward to many more years here.

I absolutely love Renew on York. Its quiet, and peaceful place to live. Rent is reasonable and the complex is maintain green scenery throughout along with beautiful landscaping. Maintenance are exceptional. Whenever I had a problem they fixed the job within hours.

The Maintenance & electrician came early morning which I appreciate. They both work together to fix the problem. They were both professional in explaining what they needed to do to fix it. They were also fast in doing so.

Do not rent with this company. They are unprofessional, and have abusive billing practices. I signed an addendum to my lease lowering my move out payment by $1000. After I moved out, the $1000 reduction was not included in the move-out bill. They said that the lease addendum was rejected. They said it wasnt approved by corporate even though it was signed by both the property manager, and myself.After speaking with both their central billing office and the property about 5 times each, they would not change the bill. Neither the central billing office nor the property claimed to have the authority to change it. I would have taken them to small claims court, but I moved out of the area. These criminals were going to send it to collections.Do not rent with them. You will lose your money, your time and your patience.

I love my apartment complex. Its a quiet area. Everyone in the leasing office is so friendly and helpful. The management does a great job of informing tenants of upcoming events and really engaging tenants like we have an upcoming Christmas party . I think thats really cool to get a chance to meet new people in the complex. They keep the apartments clean.

Would have given 3-1/2 if possible. Staff are all extremely helpful and kind. The grounds are ALWAYS maintained which only adds to enjoying the views from your balcony. Would like to see better management of available storage units and kitchen cabinet updating.

Placed this 2 stars because rent is not only expensive. Its also a health hazard when living in the apartment complex. There are molds growing on the ceilings & also the walls are crumbling apart. Other than that there are fees upon fees. Let alone all the penalties going on.Edit: Also laundry they dont accept coins anymore. And management gotten worse.

There Maintenance people are awesome especially Luis Rivera he came at a proper time and did his job he is an excellent maintenance person he was fast he cleaned up after himself and very polite and I never had a problem with any of the people here everyone here is very nice

Super shady!!!! This building is owned by Trinity Property Management look them up on the better buisiness bureau and it will tell you all you need to know. The staff does all kinds of shady dishonest things all the tenants here hate them. 24hr construction huge bills old apartments with old utilities that will cost you a ton. Multiple complaints of them illegally entering peoples apartments then not accepting liability when things are missing. I would be very careful about renting here!

I have a serious problem with having to pay my rent on line and being charged to do so. As well as doing everything else on line. This new management wants rent and water bill at the same time. Sometimes thats not always possible. My kitchen sink is bagged up as well as my garage disposal doesnt work. Ive reported it last week, nothing had been done. My dishwasher needs a motor. I reported that, again no response.Id like a little service please.

Great communication. Always takes the time to answer any questions I may have. Recently received word of a planned holiday party (unfortunately I will not be able to attend) however, that added family/community atmosphere means the world.

The elevator wasnt working I was trying to go to laundry I called the office no answer I call maintenance and he took care of it

Luis Rivera helped replace our water heater, late on a Friday. Had it done in an hour and a half. He also advised of other things we should have checked out. Excellent advice.

The community: I don’t see much people often perhaps due to covid but the little that I’ve run into have been nothing by nice and polite people. My neighbors next door are so quiet which is a relief. I appreciate that! Over all the building is pretty quiet outside. Have minor interior dislikes - patches of carpet when I moved in. Ceiling cracking. I will update review upon my stay.1st Update: 2nd month in. I am distraught how much water bill came in. $100+ for one month. ridiculous! Technically paying 1200 for a 1bedroom not including light. Let’s see if the rest of my time here makes up for this.

Still a ton of cigarette butt from upstairs all over our patio and the grass.

I am staying here from last 4 years the only issue i have is the water bill. It is super high compared to other places. For 2 people it is more than $115. That is a part to worry otherwise the management and building is awesome for a stay.

Have had an ongoing issue with water bill since my November bill since new company took ownership of complex. My 10yr son was added to my lease as a lease holder which made my water bill increase. Went into office and was told that it was a mistake and he should have never been added on lease and I should have never been charge additional for him. I was told I would receive a credit. Here it is Feb going on March and still no resolution. Still waiting on mgr. Call from weeks ago and now being told they are now charging for water per resident in home. This is not what I signed in my original lease. Not even notification that this was a new change. They dont seem to care because it doesnt directly affect them.

Great living here. Love the grounds and the custodial crew does a great job in keeping the hallways neat and orderly. No problems at all.

My partner and had a showing today. The front desk and personal were fantastic! They had a clear and precise plan. Honesty goes a long way. York Brook staff have showed that.*update - we moved in. Love it so far!

Put in a service request that wasn’t an emergency and didn’t think I would be priority since the maintenance department was only responding to emergency calls. They came within a few hours and fixed the issue. Thank you Renew maintenance for responding so quickly.

My only complaint is the smell of mold on the carpets!I have asthma... I’m constantly coughing. Walls get bad and I had to throw away many clothes.

Great property and staff is very friendly. Maintenance guys are very helpful. My first tour here i was very impressed they definitely are big on communication they get things resolved. Very peaceful place.

Do not move here!! Staff here is horrible. They cant even fix the washer and dryer that keep taking your money cause they never work. They will give you a last minute notice to move your car out of the parking lot for maintenance but you are on vacation and cant move your car. The appliances keep breaking so you are calling the office non stop. I got two flat tires from the parking lot where they were working. Office didnt pay for anything. Cant even respond to the email about my frustrations. Dishwasher are cheap and old. Stoves are uneven and old. Some of the maintenance guys are really nice but the office staff is horrible for helping out when needed. If you move here be ready to have the office on speed dial. They will be your new best friend due to all the issues. They promised about getting the tennis court up three years ago when we moved in but that never happened. Gym is always breaking down, only one good treadmill. There is a pool but you have to pay for a pool pass. Garage parking is not connected and going for $150 a month extra! Probably more now. Cars constantly being towed cause you only get 5 passes a month. Skunks always walking around the apartment at night due to all the trash. Landscape looks nice The outsider apartment building lights make the building look ugly. They dont they dont decorate at all, only the main office. The price of rent are going up but apartments are getting worse. Renters stay away

The office here is really unprofessional, they will not pick up calls no matter what time or day, they also tried to charge more for lost resident pool bands than stated on the lease. Also the security worker who is at the kids pool on weekends is extremely rude I mean its not my fault that it’s your job to be here . Except for the maintainence staff nobody listens or cooperates.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. If youre reading thia looking for somewhere to live I highly highly advise staying away from here. Weve had so many issues. I hope there is no character limit on reviews. One, whatever the rent is add about 80 to 100 dollars for water. They charge based on occupants. So even if youre trying to save water you will still be paying for other peoples usage. We werent in our apartment for an ENTIRE MONTH and still came back to a 85 dollar water bill. Our apartment was vacant.They also overcharged us on our water bill saying we had 3 occupants but we had 2. It was 140 dollars for one month. ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. Then we contacted the office and still even as I type this on Jan 23rd they have not corrected it and that was in November. Their office staff is very rude and will just ignore and ignore your issues and emails. Then they tell you to come in and talk and when we did the manager WOULDNT EVEN COME OUT OF HER OFFICE.She literally relayed what she wanted to say through the secretary and refused to talk to us face to face. The trash chutes clog multiple times a week so prepare to have mounds of garbage in your hallways. This complex is very loud. Kids constantly playing in the halls and we had a neighbor play his instrument until 10pm and again we raised concerns to the office and they did absolutely nothing. I cant stress enough to look elsewhere for housing. Stay away.

This is the worst place I’ve ever lived at. Management is the worst and very unprofessional.

I have enjoyed my stay here at this apartment, The location is nice, However there is a very poor approach to managing these buildings.This could be a great place to live, but when ideas for improvement at brought up the management wouldnt want to hear any suggestions.It took us a year to get a fix done on our apartment and we filed repeatedly, management then made us to feel like it was our fault and we were being pushy.... Im not sure that should be how you feel when youve been proactive in upkeep of your place.

Office staff is very unhelpful. They are all very nice in the beginning, but once the lease is signed and youre paying them rent they become very snotty. Speaking to them about their actions or bringing up concerns to management is uneventful. None of them care that people LIVE here. They all obviously see this job as just a paycheck and cant be bothered to help with even the simplest task.

MOLD MOLD MOLD!!!!My apartment is INFESTED WITH MOLD!! And they absolutely refuse to actually take care of it! My family has been getting sick with pneumonia and bronchitis for MONTHS and we had no clue why until now! And I’m not talking about a little, I’m talking about it being caked! The staff barely does anything too, and will take days to get to you. (Also Amanda at the front desk is just a ray of Sunshine. **Sarcasm**) I have lots of pictures of the mold if anyone would like to see. :)DO NOT GET TRICKED IN MOVING HERE, EVEN IF ITS CHEAPER THAN OTHER PLACES THE MEDICAL BILLS ARENT WORTH IT.

Ive lived here for about 6 months and have had no problems at all. The people in the office are all very friendly and accommodating. The one bedroom apartment is very spacious and I like the amenities that come with the rent (pools and fitness center). Even though its been one of the worst winters in decades, the staff has done a good job keeping the parking lots and common spaces clean. Its also close to I-290 and to I-294, so easy access to major highways. It only takes about 20 minutes to get to city limits (with minimal traffic on the Eisenhower). Id recommend it for anyone looking to live or work in the Western Suburbs.

I would not rent from this place. For the last couple of months my rent check either didn’t have an apartment number on it (so they say), or “maybe someone told you they dropped the check off and didn’t”. Now you have to be paranoid wondering if they will post your check/money order to the correct account.

I love how quiet it always is. I do not hear my neighbors upstairs or next door. When something breaks or I need maintenance they respond Very fast. I love the cozy apartment!

My brother lives here. Beautiful layout inside and out. Very spacious one bedroom, sound proof apartment. Which is a very important asset considering its minutes away from Ohare Airport.

Great apartment complex. Reasonable rates for the area. Missing one star because convenient parking fills quickly and I often walk nearly a block to get home.

Called in and scheduled an appointment for self tour which leasing agent said it was available. Once I showed up to my appointment (drove about 8 miles) I’ve been told we only do virtual tours. This is a joke. If this is how they operate I can imagine why there are so many one star reviews.

Apartments were built in the 1960’s and never remodeled in the slightest since then.I ended up having mold growing in the walls.Constantly increase the rent on you every year without fail.

I lived here for 2 years and was fairly pleased. The apartments are in decent shape and the noise level isnt bad. But the laundry facilities do not work and they claim maintenance fixes them but really do nothing.The management is horrible. They do everything they can to take advantage of their tenants. They refused to allow me a support animal, even though they are required by law to do so, until I confronted the property manager with a printout of the law.Upon our departure of the complex, they made no attempt to return our security deposit, as required by law, until we called repeatedly asking for it. When they did return the deposit (two months after we moved out) they tried to charge us for replacing the stove pans - which they do between every resident - and cleaning the apartment - even though we cleaned before we left. They finally promised to return the deposit (well see if they actually do) when I called again to yell at the property manager.

The apartments are affordable and very spacious, the grounds are well kept.

It was nice a little sketchy at night and i had a hole in my wall with roaches in it that would climb across my wall. people would also be rlly loud and it was hard to sleep and a lady’s car alarm would go off every morning for like 3 months straight

At least one building has mold in the walls coming from the exterior, the balcony doors freeze over upstairs and cause flooding, the locks dont work and strange random people can wander around without issue because the downstairs doors are busted half the time.My family decided to move out but they wont break our lease so we may have to sue them for an injury lawsuit as the kids have asthma (the mold) and weve noticed a deterioration in everyones health.Ive had stuff stolen from inside my home and i heard someone come in my home AT 3AM!!! because the locks are faulty and can be tricked openThe gym has maybe one working treadmill and no working bikes (lifting equipment seems to be the only thing that works sometimes) the landscape is always covered in duck poop. The library next to the gym cant be accessed and dont be fooled there are no tennis courts or anything but stagnant pond water that stinks and more empty landI never see kids play outside and for good reason

They know how to charge for any simple things but once you ask them to fix anything in the apartment they will tell you its not our fault even if you been in the apartment for less than 2 month

My experience with this management group as well as the apartment has been nothing but great. Truly loved my visit and wish they would invite us back for more visits.

The management staff is HORRIBLE. They are rude, and inconsistent. The apartments have not been updated, in over 20 years so it seems. The office is nice and updated, but the apartments are out dated. the laundry facility is ridiculous, the washers and dryers are old. My clothes would not dry. I spent over four dollars in one machine. I had to go to a local laundromat to dry my clothes. I wasted money and my time.The parking is terrible. You can only have overnight company 5 times a month. They give you parking passes. At first you were given 6 each month, now the number is 5. Cars get towed daily off the property. The best thing about the apartments is the location.

For those of you looking to move to York Brook apartments I figured I would write a more recent review for those interested.For starters the leasing agents all seem to be very pleasant and in my opinion the only thing that keeps the complex alive. After my very unpleasant move in they were able to remedy most of my problems by replacing the stove and dishwasher. In addition the maintenance men were able to take care of a few misc. details that made the house more accommodating. On the flip side the house never should have passed any form of inspection prior to our move in date.For instance all of the windows were heavily painted and unable to use. The Dishwasher was filled with grime and never cleaned. The Sliding Glass Door to this day will not lock in addition to half the doors in the house that do not close. After multiple attempts to have the maintenance men come and fix the doors in the apartment it has never been done properly. After the 3rd ticket on our sliding glass door the maintenance team stopped showing up or responding to the tickets completely.Unfortunately 6 months later we still do not feel at home and had settled with most of the inconveniences. Finally we have decided to break lease and move on. As an fyi to those who break lease early, even if they fill your apartment prior to leaving you will still be accountable for the lease breaking “Policy” and be required to pay.Location wise the complex is in a very attractive spot and has a gym accessible till 9. Sadly Bensenville is not the most entertaining location but is 15 min from most things. For Example Schaumberg mall, Rosemont, and Oakbrook. Rates for the Apartment are very affordable for the size so there are some advantages to living in the area.

For all of you who left apartment, dont expect deposit returns, not even if you clean your apartment better than they did when you move in. Very disappointed....fraud, cheaters, and manager guy Anthony never send us photos as o proof that we left apartment in bad condition, so yes...that money from deposit obviously finished in someones pocket
