Pretty neat place. It was all locked up and seems to be non-usable but neat to walk around and look at. Wife looked up some info on this and we had to come check it out. They say its haunted but who really knows??!! Walk around to the back and see the amazing series of water fountains that were created back in the day. Again, pretty cool stuff. We had to park at the entrance by the Athletic Bldg and walk up the road as it is gated off to vehicles. Its a bit of a hike but worth it. The grounds are well kept and looks great.
I am the groundskeeper so I hope I put 5 stars...it looks great
This property had bad carma from the beginning. I used to help milk the cows when it was a dairy farm owned by the priests. Years later my father, President James Donahue, moved St. Josephs College there and struggled with the Board of directors, mostly bankers, every step until he was let go. Now the greedy Bennington Bankers will be stuck with it, and, lets face it, Bennington is not a destination town. Good luck with it! The property has a very sad past, and no hope for the future.
Such a nice place with a great view. Sad that its not a college anymore.
Where was the Farm portion of the Estate, where the cows were and the milking barns ?
Amazingly beautiful
