Dont buy tech support!! The local geek squad is somewhat helpful but they are hampered by corporate rules. I paid $100 for a one year TECH SUPPORT 24/7! Sounded good at the time but was a waste of money. They charged $85 to save the data off of my hard drive. A local company was $65. So I paid the Geek Squad $185 plus $60 for an external hard drive to save the data on. Now they want $99 to put the data back on my computer that was fixed else where under my Costco warranty.I call their 24/7 tech support and hold forever. Then they want $ to help me or tell me another tech will have to call back. Then I get a call 15 minutes later and Im put back on hold!! Dont waste your money! Go to the local computer shop!
I really cant think of any legitimate way for Best Buy to improve their service. Ive been here 5 times, and to other Best Buys 3 times, and every issue has been resolved to my satisfaction (if the device wasnt fixed, they gave me a new one or a full refund).Important note, however - I always go in with a smile. Im patient and understand that the agents are working, like anyone else at a job. Treat them like human beings and I promise youll have a good experience :)
Made appointment for residential hookups and they called and cancelled not only once but twice! Told us they couldn’t find a technician! Are you for real?! Can’t find a technician!? Isn’t that what you guys are!?? Went somewhere else they were here in no time and charged us a third of what you guys wanted!!!
I recently took my laptop in for review of possible virus. The work was completely promptly and professionally. It is important to make an appointment and that makes it much easier. I do have black tie service that I pay for and it is well worth it.

The guy that worked on my stereo was super nice, he said it would take about a hour and a half maybe 2 hours but he got it done in 1 and helped me figure out the Bluetooth stuff. Fantastic service
I was helped by two members of the Bend Oregon branch that provided excellent customer service at no cost to me.
I go only to the Geek Squad at Best Buy. It is the only place with technical support for those who dont always know what is going on with their computer. The techs are patient, treat you as a person with a smile. They do care about you.
I had a lightning strike this week but best buy wont service my tv. Not a warrenty program member. You suck best worst buy!
They are horrible. Twice now they have never called me when my laptop was ready and good luck getting them directly on the phone to check on it. I had it serviced in April for a charging issue and just had the same issue again. They were going to reformat my whole hard drive this time but then went in the back and plugged in a new adapter and the problem was fixed. Thank god I didnt agree to the reformatting.

I have webroot virus protection through Geek Squad. Unfortunately, a virus got through and now they want to charge me $149 to remove the virus. Poor customer service!!!

Had my replacement device in 2 days
Bought a stereo to have it installed. Long story short they hooked up the heater cables wrong and my heater doesnt work now. Currently at a real audio shop having it fixed. Ill never use their services again.
They should support the product they sell with no hidden fees and learn what the product is!
