The installer was excellent. Very professional in every way. He was very very good at his trade, most courteous and polite, punctual, and a great guy to have in our home. He did an excellent job. I dont think Ive every had a better contractor do any work for me. I highly recommend this installer, and for that matter Romanoff Renovations.
I dont think I have posted a poor business review in years, but this company and its carpet installer are absolutely deserving. We live out of town and had hired an individual to babysit the carpet installers and help out where needed. Their non- willingness to work was demonstrated from the outset when we received a call from the installer complaining that they could not gain access to the garage because it had an 8 foot clearance and they had a 10 foot truck. Then complained that because of the parking in downtown Bend he would have to move his truck every two hours, admittedly inconvenient but something that was never a secret from the time of our purchase and unavoidable. The next call was to let us know that they would not be installing because it was a commercial space. That was after the elevator doors opened to the second floor, which is commercial, on their way to the 5th floor, which is residential. Upon getting into the condominium unit, the installers said that there was nowhere for them to spread the carpet. That excuse is hard to understand since Home Depot had come out to measure and had a layout of the condominium. Finally, they said that they would not install because there were personal items that would need to be moved such as unhung pictures and unplugged lamps. We advised the layers that we had someone downstairs that was there for that purpose but they would not even wait for him to make his way upstairs. It should also be noted that we had paid extra because there had been an entertainment center to be moved when we ordered that has since been removed. So, even though they had been paid extra to move a non-existent piece, they looked for every and any excuse to leave the job instead of looking for a way to make things work. When speaking with the representative from Romanoff, Jeff, he said he would get back to us shortly as to a new date but never did. We finally received a call back from the Home Depot rep who was very courteous but had to inform us that the earliest date Romanoff could come back out would be almost a month later. It is time for Home Depot to look for a contractor to match the service they provide in store. Until that time, you might consider other sources. And, certainly, avoid any services by Romanoff at all costs.
I’ve had Romanoff come out to do two jobs, and they did excellent work each time. They cleaned up after all of their work, and even swept my new floors. I highly recommend them, but they are very busy, so call early!
Installers showed up on time, communicated well, worked through a couple of hiccups quickly and worked hard. They were able to finish the work in two days, instead of three. House looks great, a huge change.Thank you Romanoff, your guys are awesome!
On time, clean, efficent. He made sure I was satisfied totally with install.....
They were on time and wasted no doing the installation. Quality work and loved the finished product
While they did some things pretty well, they also did some things pretty poorly. The carpet in the master closet was supposedly lined up with the back of the closet, not the front, so texture in the carpet veers slightly to the right. This house is pretty new, I dont think the walls are that far off square, but thats the explanation from the foreman. Im sure a tile installer would start from the front and work towards the back, but thats not how it was done with the carpet. One of the seams is too visible for my liking right beside my bed. Its fine on the other side of the bed, but the one I look at every day isnt right. After the call about the closet carpet, I dont see the point in calling so I can hear how its someone elses fault too. While the installers picked up the big pieces of carpet, and made some effort to sweep up, the threads from cutting the carpet where everywhere, and were still finding them. The tee shirts say they want me to be happy, I didnt find a lot of enthusiasm to deliver.
