If I could give them a 6th star, I would! I have some serious dental work that needs to be done, and I wanted to find a dentist that I could get to know more on a personal level. After all, it should be that way. After reaching out to 2 offices in the Bemidji area that did not respond to me, a co-worker recommended Bemidji Family Dentistry. I can not be more pleased with the recommendation! Everyone I have associated with in that office has been very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and very understanding. I have an older son who has had some bad experiences, and after talking with him about my own experience at Bemidji Family Dentistry, he agreed to make an appointment. After his first visit with Dr. Metcalf and her staff, he has completely changed his viewpoint on his dental health. We both have treatment plans ready to go and I couldn’t be more happy with my decision. You won’t be either. Give them a call!

Had a very good experience. Everyone was so kind and helpful. The office and exam rooms are beautiful and well equipped. The Doc did a thorough exam. The DA did a great job of imaging my teeth. Thank you for showing me the condition of my teeth. The discussion outlining my teeth care was great and easy to understand. Planning on getting my dental work completed here and am confident the work will be topnotch.

We always have a great experience at Bemidji Family Dentistry. Everyone is very kind and knowledgeable, even my 11-year old doesn’t mind going in for his appointments and he use to be terrified of going to the dentist!

Let’s start with I hate the dentist. And rephrase that to hated. Karlie and the dentist have made it to joy to come in. They remember things about life as well as my son. They make it easy to want to come back every 6 months rather then wait it out. I appreciate them so much!

Everyone - front desk, assistant, hygienist, Doctor- were all so kind. By far the best dental experience I have ever had. Heated neck wrap & essential oils during my dental cleaning was such a great touch.

My family and I have only had great experiences here. Even my 3 and 5 year olds like going to the dentist- and my 3 year old is a hard sell for appointments in general. The entire staff is friendly and professional, and the little extra things they do are so appreciated (the warm neck wrap with aromatherapy is my favorite). The automatic text/email reminders they send are also helpful to keep my calendar accurate. Thanks for everything!

I have a lot of anxiety about the dentist. Dr. Metcalf is so friendly and knowledgeable. She shows genuine concern and is thorough. Her and her staff make me feel very at ease and were very understanding. I do not avoid the dentist like I have in the past. I would highly recommend them!

I have never had a more positive experience with a dentists office. My whole family goes here. They are always very friendly, and take the time to make you as comfortable as possible. They always explain what is going on from the simplest cleaning to the more complex procedures.The best part is the honesty that comes from the staff. I know if I need to have a procedure done now, or if we can monitor it for possible action in the future. When the doc gave us the honest skinny on which of my kids actually might need braces and who didnt really except for cosmetic (vanity) reasons, I knew we had a winner. Its not about money, its about providing quality care.Also- and this doesnt really effect my review rating, they have really cool faucets in their bathrooms. Wash your hands, its worth the trip.I would highly recommend this practice to anyone who has a mouth.

You can get an appointment pretty fast. Karli Swenson is a great dental hygienist. She is very caring, polite and patient. I will continue to go there and I highly recommend this dental clinic.

This dentist is the new owner of the former Division Dental. I never had the privilege of working with the former dentist, as I only required cleanings and checkups. I met her with the final inspection.That said, the new dentist is really, really good. I noticed that after only a month, her and the dental assistant worked really well together. It was like they knew each others thoughts. The dentist was very smart and conscience of the smallest things that disturb patients. Like getting Novocaine, I always had dentists that just went in and gave me the shot. But she first prepared the area by numbing it, and then gave the shot, and I didnt feel a thing! She treated me like she would want to be treated, not just something she says, but does! I like that a lot!I would suggest this dentist to anyone.I gave 5 stars, because I understand the way they bill upfront is normal for this area. I dont agree with it. But I cant blame this office for it. It is too bad. I have not always lived in Bemidji, and personally have never had a dentist charge me upfront but instead send me a bill after the insurance pays them. Just like doctors do. That way there is no confusion if the insurance company makes a change, as happened with me. I guess on the plus side of billing upfront, you know what money you are giving up ahead of time.

Bemidji Family Dentistry is a welcoming environment that, after 5 years of going here, truly feels like family! Cleanings and service is great. They give you encouraging educational tips on dental health and habits without shaming you and will answer any questions you have about dental health, procedures, insurance, etc. They are also fun people with great personalities! I would highly suggest Bemidji Family Dentistry!

So I was waiting until I had to have some real dental work done other than just a cleaning to write a review. It was going to be a test for Dr. Metcalf.... well I did have to have a small filling redone and I was nervous. Our family all agreed that Dr. Laura was the best at giving Novocain. Well I got a shot of Novocain from Dr. Metcalf and had my filling fixed quickly and pain free! Dr. Metcalf and Brittany were professional, friendly, and fast. I was very impressed with their skill, patience and pace of dental service. *P.S. I love the knowledge, professionalism and friendliness of the front desk receptionist, Wendy. She is great! I also love the free chapsticks at the front desk too. Nice job ladies!
