Had a broken exhaust pipe and muffler with one too many holes in it. Took it here and they got it in right away, made the repairs, and changed my oil as well. All done quickly, all done with good communication, my car is so quiet now i can barely hear it idling. Really appreciate this place and their quality of work.

I had Altamores work on my vans breaks a few weeks ago. I usually do not use anybody else other than dealerships to do my car repairs or maintenance due to me getting burned a few times in the past by independent garages. However, a family member recommended that I give them a try.So far, the breaks are working great and the cost of getting both the front and back breaks was reasonable. Also, I had them look at my vans timing belt that my dealership recommended I replace, which was estimated at over 1,200.00. Altamores advised me that the belt was fine and does not need to be replaced for another 20 to 40 thousand miles. Altamores also gave me an estimate to replace the belt that was considerably less than the dealerships quoteIts nice to see a business that takes good care of its customers. I plan on doing business with them in the future whenever I need repairs done.

Amazing shop!Let me start by saying that I’m new to town and when my car’s engine started overheating from nothing (as I thought) - I freaked out.My friend recommended Altamore’s Automotive and I’m so glad she did! I brought the car in, and got helped right away (there was a bit of wait but so worth it)It appeared that I needed thermostat replaced and that would cost me A LOT and would have taken so much longer if I’d go to local Audi - at Altamore’s my car was done in 24 hours and pricing is beyond reasonable!Also wonderful customer service - my experience is overall great! Brought my car in yesterday after experiencing some electrical and starting problems. Turned out it was the new battery the dealer installed a couple of months ago which was defective. I asked Joe to install a new battery, even though he suggested I have the dealer replace it. Now the car starts like it did when new. Although it ultimately wasnt a large job, he didnt take advantage and repaired what was needed. Ill be going back to Altamores Auto Service from now on.

This place has honest, kind and hardworking people who do amazing work at a resonable price!!! I typically always bring my cars here for repairs. One time I didnt because my car overheated out of town so I had it towed to a shop near there and they told me I needed a blown head gasket repair that was going to cost thousands of dollars. Took it to a second shop near there and told me the same repair that was going to cost the same. Needles to say, I lost hope in that car. I bought a new car and left my overheated car in my garage for over a year with hopes of scraping it someday. Well, I took it to Altamores the other day and have to say, they know their cars!! My car did not have a blown head gasket, just needed new water pump and some other parts that didnt cost me my arm! I dont know why I didnt take it to Altamores in the first place!!!!! Thank you guys, you are all amazing!!

I used to go to another mechanic in Belvidere area. After having the work quality go down as well as being steered wrong on a few repairs that did not need to be done I was recommended to Alatamore.
