Looks like am not the only one. Cancelled over phone then kept getting charged. Then they deny I cancelled. Am told that I would get an email when I cancel so I cancelled again. Called after 5 minutes since did not receive email - then am told oh only the manager can cancel. And they wont be in until Monday. What a joke.Also never told me about the $39 fee that shows up after 3 months.

A cozy medium sized gym with a huge variety of equipment and friendly staff.Is cleaned and maintained properly, weights are often put away and re-rackedParking can be difficult, also the lot is fairly dark at night. But overall a great gym for the value plus tonnes of classes!

Does not have garbage pails at each cleaning station. Needs to put garbage pail at each station

Called to cancel after I moved out of the area. Person on the phone said they would take care of it. Never happened, continued to charge me, when I called back after the first charge that shouldnt have gone through said there was no record and wouldnt refund. Dont trust these guys.

I recently signed up with Onyx a few days ago because I was looking to get back to a workout routine but didnt want to go to a commercial gym. Onyx was very impressive, clean and not too many people at all. Its a privately owned gym so thats a plus for me and the equipment is brand new. Everyone followed safety precautions and wore masks. Its a very low key gym which makes you more focus on your workout. Its bit more to join than most other gyms but its worth it. So far I love it!

Great gym. A lot of equipment for serious workout fanatics. Nice and clean and very affordable. Great personal trainers.

Website gives false claim of FREE guest pass, and then wont honor it when you show up. Signed up for month to month membership anyways since I was there. and with another friend thats a member Get home, received email offering a better rate for being a student. Wont let you use that offer either with out losing what you have already paid just a couple of days ago. And owner refused to come out of his office to talk to me. Paid first and last month membership also got charged $49 processing fee and $49 enrollment fee, seems like the same thing charged twice to me. First experience with joining a gym, not impressed with customer service.

They have policies in place to ensure you cant easily cancel and do not disclose all fees upfront. Instead they said, you signed for it.

Was looking for a new gym in the area, so I filled out a form online for free a guest pass ...I was never contacted back by them for the pass, so I went in person to try and get the trial. I was told that they dont do trial passes but i could pay 10$ for a day pass and I could put it towards my signup if I decided I liked it. I had to go after my workout, so didnt have time to talk about rates. The next day while checking my bank account I noticed I was charged $20. I reached out to them and they basically just said sorry you were given the wrong info, the day pass is $20. I asked them how much it would be to sign up and they told me some ridiculously astronomical prices. 98$ in sign up fees plus first and last month...yeah OK

Super clean facility for the all in or beginning gym goer

Decent gym. Lots of the usual equipment. I appreciate the turf area that gives a lot of space to move and stretch away from the weights.

Absolutely love this gym! Super clean and love the free weights that are available. Great equipment! Now on to the best part, the training company in the gym! I have been training with Mike for about 2 months and he is phenomenal.

Great gym with a ton of equipment and free weights to choose from. A larger selection of equipment than most local gyms with an awesome staff. Management is on top of things as soon as its needed. No broken equipment, and kept clean. Clean bathrooms and locker rooms as well. Great personal trainers available in the gym as well! Much better bargain than other available options!

Golds Gym, is by far, the place to get serious about your fitness, wellness, training goals.I have worked at Golds many years ago, and continued to train there. The Staff is incredible in assisting, Raymond, who is part of the staff is helpful in everyway. Nice Juice bar, plenty of equipment, Saunas, Aerobics of diverse needs, ages, parking i know can be tight, but well worth it. Glen, one of the owners,keeps the place clean and a great person to talk with. They have a place in Garden City ad well.

I was working out yesterday (December 15 ) when the front desk employee( nice kid) went around at 8:50pm to all of us and said the owner called and said to close the gym at 9pm instead of when it should be closed at 10pm because of the snow. It wasnt even snowing at that time and there was a total of 1 to 2 inches of snow in the lot and none on the street. This is not the first time this has happened. No excuse for doing that to your members. The weekend hours are also cut back now, anything to save a dollar.

This gym is fine. i was in locker room at 6:58 and left at 7:01 and guy yelled at me that he had to go to work. umm arent u at work? dont yell as clients. thanks!

It has everything a good gym should have. Inexpensive memberships. I also belong to LA Fitness but rarely go there. I prefer Golds Gym

The trainers and staff are exceptional..Just came back and so glad I did..Clean locker room in this gym. I find that important. Trainers are good and motivating too.

LOVE this gym. It changed my life. Completely affordable and offers every class youd want. I also hired a personal trainer and have lost 20 pounds and just as many inches.

Nice gym, clean lockers, needs some more updates. Staff needs to work on client service skills. Over all I really like this gym as its not over crowded and has a good veriaty of equipment.

Was a member about a year ago I was thinking about rejoining : got a flyer in the mail and called to get more info and was told on the phone that they do not talk price or memebership over the phone . The person on the phone was fake nice . You,can tell they are not nice . So I called Crunch in Bellmore. They went over everything over the phone and even invited my to come down and try the gym out. So I went down, they are very transparent and I got a great deal. No enrollment fee 9,95a month with a 49 dollar annual fee, crunch is bigger and has much more to offer., so glad the person at golds was a jerk.

This is your old school lifting gym. No fancy classes or spas here. Has free WiFi, clean restrooms, and front desk Mike is on time and friendly. Only thing i suggest is clearing out the lifting area, even though the lifters should be doing that. Also, an answering machine with updates of closures during bad weather. Otherwise, for $15/month, great gym!

I love going to golds gym! The people there are very friendly and helpful! The facility is nice and accommodating to help me achieve my workout goals!

Great Staff. Professional. Positive Atmosphere....

On July 6 2017, i called before leaving my home to find out what time will the babysitter be available. A new worker answers the phone and said hold on. Manager Alicia came on the phone and claimed from 4 30 to 8 30. I waited until 5 30 and no baby sitter arrived. Bad management and awful service!!!! Owner Glenn you need to organize your gym better!!!!! Poor management!!! Dont waste your time!!!!!

This place is a scam when it comes to closing your account. Your typical gym that doesn’t care about customers.. They only give you a 1-2 hour window on a Saturday to close out your account and lie about things they chose to tell you.. I would stay far away from this gym as it is just like the old gym owner on Merrick road across from the post office. It’s a shame how they conduct business and the way they give you the run around when trying to close your account! The machines suck, they are all old and ripped up so I wouldn’t waste your time joining this pile of dump..

Great gym whether you’re a hard core gym rat or a beginner the equipment is first rate and the entire facility is very clean every time I’m there I see at least one employee cleaning plus all the staff are friendly and helpful

This is the third year in a row that Golds Gym in Bellmore has no air conditioning during the summer!!! Do not come here unless you enjoy working out in 85+ degrees heat in the back room. You are overwhelmed by the smell of hot, dank sweat when you walk in and it only gets worse if you go into the free weight area in the back. The front room is a mere75 degrees! The excuse the past two years is that the AC units broke and, we are waiting for a new unit to be installed. It will be three weeks. It has been a rolling three weeks all summer long. The employees even complain to members about the intolerable heat--and they are just sitting behind the desk.The owner cant afford it right now. Meanwhile he just put up a ridiculous new $5,000 sign inside the gym. How about air conditioning?After getting so fed up this summer I am leaving. I did some research and found out that in years past one of the former co-owners sued the current owner, Glenn with the leather jacket, for not providing services to members including air conditioning. He is too cheap!!!

Im pissed off. I wanted to try out this place, so I printed a VIP pass off the website which was labeled as a 7 day trial. Not only did the rude desk worker not let me use the pass, he wouldnt let me try out the gym for one day. How am I supposed to sign up without knowing how the gym is. Poor sucka at the desk was to busy flirting with a girl to even give me the light of day. Wont be coming, dont waste your time either.

If there is but is behind the bank is a large building next to the bank is the entrance but I do not like it is not as I imagined it is very different where I go is very small and the bathrooms are small the machine was not used to scan my Card the closets are very different luck for those who like there i better stay with the brentwood freeden

Golds gym was the titan god of the gyms in the 20th century respect is deserved to the many who came before!

The WORST Golds Gym Ive been to. The guys running it dont know how to properly operate a business. Its appalling how impolite and rude the staff is. Its unorganized, unenforced, and extremely unpleasant. Save your money and workout experience for elsewhere.

Went in for info about joining, and stood at a desk while a guy ate a sandwich and played on his phone. He was rude, demeaning, and thoroughly disinterested.

I went to Golds Gym in response to a full page ad in the local Pennysaver stating JOIN NOW & PAY $15 per MONTH> Certain resrtictions apply. Offer Expires 11/17/14. In fine print restrictions were stated as:local resident, non-student, 18 and older and valid photo ID. Pretty straight forward.I wanted to give this a try and join for a few months; see how it goes and then consider a yearly membership. I was advised by a nice and professional saleswoman that for today only I could join for $1 down, $39 annual fee or a yearly membership of $220.I asked about a 3 month membership and was advised that could be given to me for $99.This is not what the flyer in the pennysaver advertised and is disappointing.A fellow making the same inquiry left without joining also. Understandable, no?What gives?
