I have been a Terrain athlete for 6 years now. In those 6 years, I have transformed as an athlete physically and mentally. I have become more durable, less injury prone and have developed a deep respect and appreciation for strength training. Tonia and her team teach me something new every day, and I am inspired by every individual who trains with me. Under Tonia’s coaching, I have represented the U.S. on six Mountain Running teams and I have won a National Trail Championship. As Tonia always says: gym numbers dont matter; its what you do outside the gym that counts.

Great stuff. Now in my early 50’s, with injuries from multiple years of great outdoor fun, and was in need of a more balanced all body fitness level to help prevent future injuries. Terrain has completely met the mark, and has done so with an amazing amount of care, focus, technique, and “push”, while being flexible with my busy schedule, and also fostering an awesome feeling of community within the group. Over the last five years Ive tried a variety of different gyms and didnt find anything that I loved until I came to Terrain. What I love about Terrain is that they build programs that give you the strength to not get hurt and the endurance to do the things that you love to do out of the gym. The owner, and all of the staff, are a great mix of coach and friend. I cant express enough how grateful I am for Terrain and for the amazing team. Thank you!
I attended an all women’s veteran camp that Terrain Gym hosted. They were absolutely amazing. They adapted/modified all workouts to ensure everyone had their perfect workout 🏋️♀️. Even after the camp the support is still there via emails and check ins. Hands down these trainer are passionate about what they do and supporting everyone on their fitness journey.
This is my third year attending Tonias classes at Terrain, and Ive had nothing but positive experiences. From the creativity and research that goes into the workout programs, to the camaraderie that happens with fellow participants, to Tonias expert feedback, the whole experience has been phenomenal.If youre looking for an extremely knowledgeable group of trainers that will push you without putting you in danger (and can in fact work around any injuries you might have), or some accountability to get in shape, or just some new perspective in training for your sport, you wont go wrong by coming to Terrain.
I have been going to Terrain gym for the past 4 months and have loved the program, trainers and space. Every different program focus has helped me improve strength and fitness. All the people that attend the gym are also super friendly and a great bunch of people to workout with. I would recommend the gym to anyone.
I considered myself a fairly “fit” person. I ran or biked several times a week. As a mom my time is limited so the idea of adding strength training and spending the money to join a gym felt like an unnecessary luxury. A series of injuries made me reassess what it means to be “fit”. A friend encouraged me to try Terrain. After the first workout I was hooked. It challenges me mentally and physically. No matter how I walk in the door I leave every workout at Terrain with a smile on my face. It has made me a stronger runner and biker in just a few short months. It has made me a happier mom, wife, human. It is truly the best preventative medicine, good for the body and the soul. Thank you to Tonia and her incredible crew for helping me redefine my “fit”ness and reminding me that I am worth every penny.
I’ve stuck with Terrain for a few years now because of Tonia and the vibe of all the rad people who go there. Terrain keeps me healthy and injury free so I can go do my run thing outside the gym. It’s kinda the best place to hang around 5:45pm a few nights a week...
I have been training at Terrain off and on for about 5 or 6 years now and can honestly say Ive never experienced a more well-rounded fitness program and welcoming gym community. I came to Terrain looking for a program that would provide not only a balance of strength and cardiovascular fitness but would consider and integrate the fitness needs of both my outdoor activities and my job as a firefighter. Tonia and her team provide that and so much more and they do it in a fun, challenging and diverse way that is personalized to an individuals needs and goals while harnessing the positives of a group environment. Tonias commitment to her craft and her clients is unmatched and her programming is always spot on! I came to Terrain with injuries and a very active lifestyle. Tonia modified workouts to my needs and I am now stronger than I had been before my injuries. The people and the programs keep me smiling and fit. Terrain has become like home!
