Exceeded our expectation,. Met quite a few good folks and the crew was great. A bit disappointed with the dog walking situation. They told us when we booked the ferry that we can walk the dogs every three and a half or 4 hours. In reality it was more like every 6 hours and a number of times after 3 or 4 minutes the crew member down there would tell us to wrap it up.. aside from this person it was a great trip
I had fun in the ferry !!! It sucks ni service but overall the view, the ocean, the moon at night, its so amazing
Had a nice fish and chips meal on the patio. Nothing special. Only complaint was the beer was a tad expensive, but the view was worth it.
Ferry was a great trip and early. Very good food
Typical state run agency WORTHLESS! As first responders, recruited to Anchorage AK hospitals. Apparently attempting to book ferry passage a year in advance is some how beyond their comprehension? We were then told that the ferry system may not want to run every week or two weeks ? As I stated Typical state runned agency they work in a parallel universe! Ridiculous!!!
Very smooth ride. Spacious cabin. Very clean ship. Food is very reasonably priced and yummy.
One of the easiest ways to travel Alaska is via the Alaska Marine Highway System. The passenger ferries have staterooms, restaurants, unlimited observation areas and a deck for cars, trucks, RVs, boats and bicycles. A ticket departing Bellingham, Washington will take you to Ketchikan, Wrangell, Petersburg, Juneau, Sitka and Haines -- while offering a closer view of quaint little towns and amazing scenery. A ferry ride through Southeast Alaskas Inside Passage on the MVs Columbia, Malaspina, Kennicott, Aurora or LeConte will not disappoint you.
For decades, the Alaska Marine Highway System has been special to me, has been reliable, clean, and pleasant. Its a great way to see Southeast Alaska, which is a bucket list item for any adventurer.
I love Bellingham Alaska terminal...
Great way to take a trip up the inside passage when youre not in any particular hurry to get where you got to go (three hour plane ride to Juneau costs about the same as a three day ride on this boat).Youll want to pack plenty of items to keep you warm even if youre traveling in the middle of August. With luck and good planning you might be able to lock down a spot on the aft deck to pitch a tent. If youre too late for that there are several padded benches to stretch out on and catch some zs; both inside and outside.Bring a camera and be prepared to see an endless amount of pristine waters, idyllic islands, majestic mountains and many unique structures along the way. The wildlife is also in abundance to view; you might catch the random black bear walking along the shoreline of some gravelly beach. Youll likely see porpoises swimming along side the ferry and playing in its wake. And you will most certainly see many Eagles soaring high through the skies.Oh yeah, and dont forget to get out to the deck to witness some of the most intensely beautiful sunsets you will ever witness with your own eyes.If you have the wherewithal to voyage forth on the Alaska Marine Highway dont hesitate. Jump at the chance. You wont regret it. Chances are youll be itching to ride along again as soon as you can.
Been twice. Always closed.
Great place with lots of events happening. Recently I went there to go see the gingerbread house competition which was very fun seeing all the great gingerbread houses.
Places to sit & visit inside & outside. Great views. Some parking that is free. Some shops & interesting maps & artwork displayed. Bathrooms & fountain. Ticket booth for ferry to Alaska. Banquet room upstairs for large events has fantastic view! Smaller rooms are available too.
Having gingerbread house competition, free cookies, coffee and juice this weekend (donations are appreciated). Also pictures with Santa, local schools performing Christmas Music.
Loved being here.
For a Alaska ferry terminal information I give it a five stars it is full of information what else can you say about that its kind of hard to review something so specific. Im trying to give you more information so I can make my reviews longer to get more points but I just dont know what else to say about the Alaskan ferry terminal information. Other than it was informational.
This is the DEFINITIVE WAY to travel to Alaska via the Alaskan Marine Highway and do start from Bellingham and get off in Juneau or much later... You will NOT regret the journey along the way - you can even bring a tent and camp out on top (its heated) in the open area!!! 100% Magical!
Loved it
A good, simple ship with comfortable, clean cabins and a decent hamburger joint on board. Not a cruise, thankfully, but much the same route. It is dated, though. Curtains falling off. Seats are stained. Not all staff on board have customer service skills. Pay for all amenities. The main thing you miss on AMHS compared to a cruise is: Glacier Bay, which is not en route, and sufficiently long stops at ports of call. It’s not that cheap either compared to some basic cruises.
Love riding the ferry! Most of the workers are so helpful and happy.
Great experience overall. Cabins are nice, roomy. Views from Washington to Alaska are amazing, saw a killer whale while literally looking out my room window. Food is good, fairly priced. Great ferry.
Loved showing my friends where the Marine Highway was
Great pokemon go spot!
Nice facility with lots of local information. Good little maritime museum inside. Local boat charter information too.
And this place is great it does all the Fairy stuff but on the off time Ive seen birthday parties and weddings
The people who work here a awesome, helpful sn friendly. We had a great experience
If u take this ferry be prepared no wifi, no tv bring your entertainment with u.. We were thinking about a cruise ship. No more like a greyhound bus on water. If u have a pet u must keep it in your vehicle. Be ready to clean up a mess or two if not in a crate..not a bad trip next time we will be prepared.
Excellent service and just be timely with your tickets and be ready to board with vehicle or walk on.
After dealing with rude employees at the Bellingham, the lady help fix it.
We loved the ferry. Great way to travel .
