Both the counter person and mechanic spoke respectfully to me about my car’s problem. They showed the broken part and explained what had happened. Really appreciated their time and patience.

$125 for a basic diagnostic (no repairs made).Ive had good experiences here. Previously they replaced a bearing for cheap and did a great job. I just brought in my car with the check engine light on. They cleared the code, said they didnt see any of the issues I described to them and billed me $125. Wasnt impressed with that.

I have used this shop for awhile on several different autoes.the important word that comes to mind is integritywhen they say a car needs this or that--they are not just upselling--i honestly believe its good service with the customers best interest in mind.as a small example: i had some work done and they pointed out the brakes pads were geting marginal--since im now retired and dont drive very much could i put them off for awhile---sure no problem and gave me an approximate safe mileage--followed up with a referance on the bill.much different than daughters experience at les schwab where they were going to not allow her to drive it unless she had a complete brake job(unsafe??)it did need brake work but only about half of what L.S. wanted to upsaell her.I TRUST DR. JOHNS

Made an appointment with them because my grandparents have always gone here. They fixed all the mechanical issues with my 22 year old Buick that I couldnt do myself at home since I dont have a shop, many tools or the expertise. A gasket, wheel hub assembly and a few other things. About 8 months later went in again have some bad electrical wiring replaced. Car has been running great and without problems for the last year since I had all that work done.

Got my car in the day after I called and by that evening it was ready to pick up. Im not an expert but the cost seemed reasonable and the staff was very helpful they werent critical about the state of my vehicle either which was refreshing. I asked for an oil change while they were at it. It was competitively priced and no doubt used better oil and filters than the fast food version of oil changes that are everywhere. I would definitely go back and recommend them to friends and family.

DR. Johns has been keeping my multiple vehicles, including a motorhome, running carefree for 25 years! I have, without hesitation, referred many friends and family members, to their clinic. I must be honest and report I sought a second opinion early on, for high dollar needed repairs, but always found DR. John to be at, or below, the estimates from other repair outlets. But, the best thing I can say about them, is the way they stand behind their work. 5 Stars for sure.Update:My 30 year old, 208,000 mile Toyota truck, arrived at Dr. Johns Auto Clinics Emergency Stall, on the back of a tow truck! Having just been rescued from a roadside, we were completely at the mercy of Dr. Johns staff of highly trained technicians. But I was relaxed, knowing my old road queen was in good hands. She had been seen here since she was nearly new, and I have complete confidence that the professionals working here will keep her perking, and always at very reasonable expense.My special thanks to admitting manager, and triage specialist, Jeremy, who quickly diagnosed the old girls ailments and saved me several hundred dollars in treatments. Dr. Johns is always highly recommended.

Last year I had come in with an urgent repair. When they finished they charged me for an hour and a half of service which came out to $220. Recently, I had to make the same repair it only took 15 minutes a special tool and we were in a public parking lot!All this to say is that this auto shop took advantage of me. Do not recommend, will never return.

I had Dr. John do an after-purchase inspection of an old truck I just bought. They were fast, the price was reasonable and the inspection thorough. I did later take it to a transmission shop for an in-depth peek at the transmission.I had Dr. John make some necessary repairs and later replace the engine and transmission. I was happy with the work, the turnaround time and the price.We have had Dr. Johns do repairs in the past and we will use them again.

This is a great place! I brought my car in to have the cruise control repaired, and they told me I needed a new servo assembly, which would cost $800 for the part alone. I told them to go ahead, and the next morning they called me to tell me that they had found a workaround for the cruise control, to press two of the cruise control buttons, then release one while holding down the other for a second. The technician had gone the extra mile to save me some money, just because! I was incredibly relieved and grateful. The service writer is very friendly and knowledgeable Its just an honest shop, and I will never use another auto repair shop. DR. JOHNS IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC.

I would give no starts if it was an option . They made it so my car won’t start and expect me to pay to have it towed when it’s their fault ! So worthless! I will never do business with them again or recommend them to anyone !

Truly doctorate level auto technicians that test not guess! The owner hosts a great Bellingham radio talk show called In the Shop Saturday mornings on KGMI that is very helpful and informative to the public. A very honest and competitive shop to say the least.

Huge shout out to Blaze. I have been emotionally exhausted and stressed lately so came in grumpy. Of course it was busy but he still kept an up beat attitude even with my moody-ness. I came back and of course felt awful and apologized all to end up needing more help and having Blaze stay later then he should. Even through all that, he was outstanding, helpful and very nice. This company is Extremely unprofessional when dealing with customers. They lack communication and customer service skills when inquiring about basic service information. Dr. Johns is also incapable of diffusing situations appropriately that they create due to this lack of communication. Instead, they found the need to post some public and yet slanderous information about my partner. Definitely not a company I would recommend.

They totally take the time to describe the problem and to alert you to the cost involved before actually doing the work, and if additional problems come up, they call you for authorization before doing the additional work and adding it to your bill.

Very honest and trust worthy people! These guys are here to help and not here just to take your money and get you out the door. They listen to you and your concerns.Long story short. Our Subaru wrx was taken to Dewey griffin Subaru they proceeded to tell us our car was unreliable and unsafe to have on the road. THEN GAVE OUR CAR BACK WITH THE LUG NUTS LOOSE!So when I got it back from Dewey griffin then we drove it for 20 miles and it started making a slapping noise in the rear drivers side. (I dont have a jack at home)so thats when I decided to take the car to Dr. Johns Auto Clinic. They looked at the car and thats when they found that Dewey griffin didnt tighten the lug nuts and the noise was the tire falling off and hitting the inside wheel well.Im so thankful to have broughten my car to dr johns. They fixed my car for less then what Dewey griffin charged to take my car and give it back with the tires falling off and trying to kill my family and other people on the rd.So once again pick these guys if you want the best of repaires for what you can actually afford!

Quoted $199 for a spark plug change. 500 dollars in labor alone to change a radiator and $300 in labor alone to change motor mounts.. more than double of any competitor. You are a mechanic not a neurosurgeon. A complete and utter rip off
