Susan was able to lovingly guide me through my past birth trauma using EMDR. I can now remember my sons birth warmly and positively without any of the panic that used to accompany it. I am so grateful to have these beautiful memories preserved and be able to move on courageously to future pregnancies because of the work she did with me!

Susan was extremely sweet and upfront to making sure her coaching was what I expected to get out of it. Talking about my specific personality traits was interesting to learn about and Susans Christian background made me feel comfortable knowing she had the same values/morals as me. I had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend! Shes the BEST!

Maddey is an exceptional young lady with a big heart and a way of empathizing quite well. She is an excellent listener and asks engaging questions. When talking with her, about serious things, she is engaged and makes you feel completely at ease. She is loyal and wants to make a difference in your life. She is going to be an asset to anyone who needs a support system, a place to feel comfortable and at ease to share your deepest struggles, accomplishments or anything in between.

Having known Susan for over 10 years as both a colleague and friend, I can attest to her clear gifting in the treatment of individuals and families. I would not be able to enumerate the important skills i have gleaned from simple conversations with Susan. I have witnessed her passion for treatment in various settings, be it assisting and leading at State Board levels, or in the intimate therapeutic setting with distressed families. Few therapists possess and fewer demonstrate empathy and compassion needed to create the clinical relationship Susan is capable of. I have and will continue to steer clients to this incredibly valuable resource.

Sad to say, Kathy answered the phone very rude and I decided to still proceed with asking questions about their service. I choose to inform her of her attitude being very inconsiderate of my call, careless and rude. States that she didn’t understand which was the perfect hint to not waste any more of my time.

Where do I start? Getting into counseling takes a certain amount of courage, and not until I KNEW I NEEDED help could I muster enough of it to ask. Joining into a group setting was an even bigger fear to face. I mean, now I have to expose myself to others too?!?! Thanks to Chris Chandler and my brothers from group, I can now see the benefits gained from being part of something that is more than just about me. Being part of a group brought an even deeper level of richness to the healing I was already experiencing by meeting with Chris regularly. Having fellowship with other guys like me has had a significant positive impact on my life. In conjunction with with qualified professional counseling I also moved into a deeper relationship with God, learning that they worked simultaneously together for my benefit. Life for me now is better and fuller. Im happier now, and even though I want to still keep moving forward in the process of recovery, I finally have some freedom to enjoy life as I was intended to. I hope this review gives hope and courage to those considering in investing in themselves and their families.

My wife and I were having some difficulties in parenting one of our daughters who is very strong willed. It became so challenging that my wife and I simply got to the point where we didnt know what else to do and how to discipline her. We didnt simply want to correct behavior without any change in her heart, which we saw as much more important. I remember sending Larry an e-mail asking for help, and he was very quick to respond. Within a few days, we came to his office, and it was the most wonderful experience my wife and I had. He helped us improve every relationship in our house -- not only my wife and I with our daughters but also the relationship between my wife and I. I was not expecting the latter since I thought my wife and I had a good relationship, but as we went through our sessions, Larry showed us that there is always room to improve. And that was a key part in fixing some of the problems with our daughter as well. I thought Larrys approach to counseling was great. He listened very carefully to both my wife and I and provided us meaningful and very relevant feedback. We had sessions where we even practiced some practical techniques to use in hard moments. He also helped us by sharing some of his own past experiences as a parent, which was very useful to us. (I appreciated that very much because it meant to me he indeed cared for us). Most of all, the main reason I would recommend Larry to anyone, besides the attributes I have mentioned, is that he is a follower of Jesus Christ, our Lord, in Whom we search for answers. He counseling is practical, relevant, and Biblically based -- that meant we could fully trust on him and his counsel.

My husband and I worked with Barney Armstrong for about six months. We had never tried counseling before. We found it to be profoundly helpful both individually and as a couple. It helped shape the way we communicate and solve issues. I would recommend that anyone wanting to improve communication and/or connect deeper with their spouse give it a try!

Shirley Lytle is providing my family and I with excellent guidance and support and the tools we need to better understand our relationships. I was reluctant to attend counseling; but, after the first visit with Shirley I could see the value of the sessions and my fears and concerns were immediately put at ease. Shirley is well trained in her field. Her natural talent however, is what sets her apart from other counselors I’ve tried in the past. My wife and I have three kids ranging in age from 22 to 26. Every member of my family values our sessions. Shirley treats all of us with dignity and respect. She is highly skilled, caring, and passionate. I strongly recommend her for any family or couple seeking counseling and support.

Dr. Lytle spent time with my family when we were in dire need of assistance. Even though there were times when I questioned if this was going to work. I finally realized that the counseling methodology that was being put into practice was beginning to reveal my inner self and mold a new me. I feel really appreciative for this dynamic person that diminished my stubbornness where no other counselor was able to relate to me. Therefore, I am happy and at peace for the change in my life as a result of Dr. Lytles counseling services.

My fiancé and I did our pre-marital counseling with Dr. Shirley Lytle and it was one of the best decisions we made for our relationship. Dr. Shirley created a perfectly comfortable environment for us to be honest, vulnerable and have fun while acquiring tools well need to build a strong foundation for our upcoming marriage and sustain it. One of the most helpful things we learned was the importance of pinpointing the real issue during our disagreements, not just whats on the surface. We always leave Dr. Shirleys office feeling inspired and equipped to love each other better and will continue to seek her counsel during our marriage.
