I called Deep Roots to order a piece of jewelry from their online store that for some reason wasn’t offering shipping as an option. I spoke to Anthony first and then Jonas - both provided excellent customer service to me. Both were friendly and professional and glad to assist me in making my purchase and shipping it to me. The transaction went smoothly and the jewelry arrived quickly! I wish I could have visited in person, but I would highly recommend the staff based on my experience!

Fabulous selection of beautiful jewelry. Parking was easy. Piercer is wonderful (have had him before) BUT, I had an appointment that was not honored. Waited an hour after my appointment time while three other people who came in after me, (also had appointments but later than mine) got seen. No one said anything, I finally had to ask what the hold up was and was told that no appointment is a guarantee of service at that time.....wont be back unless its for jewelry only.

Everyone was so knowledgeable and friendly in this shop. I wish I knew the names of the two who helped me at the front counter because they were so understanding and encouraging. Anji was my piercer and she was so great! She really made me feel comfortable and welcoming. She was super understanding of my nerves and the piercing came out so beautiful! Thank you all so much!!

A overall great piercing shop! The front desk staff were all welcoming and kind, and super helpful in picking out jewelry. I had Anji as my piercer and she was knowledgeable and professional. All of their jewelry is high quality with a nice range of basic pieces to really intricate. I will definitely be going here again for any future piercings.

I decided to get my first tattoo here recently. I was very nervous and had a million questions, and was met with nothing but kindness and understanding. Ike was my artist, and walked me through everything. He had great stories and was very funny and kind. I love my tattoo and had a great experience!

I scheduled an appointment in advance for my second ear lobe piercing. I first found it odd that I had to wait for 10-15 minutes after my appointment time for the piercer to return from her break. Why allow me to schedule an appt for that time if they aren’t available?Then it was time to pick out earrings. I just wanted some basic placeholders until I could swap them out for my own earrings. I was shown some studs that cost $100 (on top of the cost of piercing). What?! I asked if they had anything less expensive and the lowest price we could get was $60 for some tiny silver balls. They also wanted me to schedule an appt to come back and purchase new earrings to swap out. Yeah, no.The piercer was good, but it felt like a serious money gouging scheme.

Went to get my daughters ears pierced for the first time. I should mention I did not want to go to a tattoo place at all for a child, but decided to give it a try b/c multiple people encouraged me to go to them b/c they are professionals at piercing (as opposed to, say, a tween jewelry shop at the mall.)The shop was clean, the reception kind and professional. Turns out after the piercer explained the process, my daughter lost her nerve. But no one there put any pressure on either of us--not my daughter, and not me for having taken up their time. They didnt charge me. I really appreciated their respectful, kind, and cheerful demeanor. Once my daughter feels ready, on her own time, well return.I also really like the private room where the procedure was going to take place. I really didnt want to go to a place with pictures of tattoos and body piercings for a young child. This place was clean, professional, and there was a picture of trees in the little private room.I look forward to updating once we have piercing experience. :)

Love all the jewelry they have there and reallt appreciated helping me pick the perfect ones for the placement I was looking for.Today I got two new holes in my left ear. The black diamond and the vortex are the new piercings I got today.

Obviously you get a great piercing by trained specialists, but each earring and backing has its price tag.... I get quality - trust me and with ears and the body, you want that but I don’t get being started at $300/pp ++ for earrings. And still came out paying $125 pp. I feel that needs to be listed up front and on the website your choices, not to get there to have to pick out earrings see them be sized for price and then go um yeah we need to go much lower like wayyyy lower.

Very condescending and rude. We were only there to ask to get a nose ring since my friend lost his. Seemed like he didn’t want us there and over explained stuff we already knew. We felt very unwelcome and discriminated against.

I got a double helix piercing here (from Anji), and the experience was wonderful from start to finish. I had help picking out jewelry and loved my piercings so much that I was tempted to get additional piercings before leaving. Everything is very clean, everyone was super helpful and knowledgeable, and Anji talked me through the entire process from start to finish. I would recommend this place to anyone who is thinking about getting pierced.

I was recommended to this place by a friend and I got my first piercing (nose), when I was 17. This is a super awesome place to to for any age! Their seating area isnt very good and if there are people in front of you in line it could be awhile,but Id say its worth it.

Edit: 5/22/2020 I unfortunately need to edit my review. The helix piercing I bought less than a year ago snapped this morning. It was a $200.00 piece so it goes without saying I was expecting more longevity out of the earring than this. Pretty disappointed :(Edit: 5/26 While the earring did snap, Deep Roots was willing to replace the piece. Very happy they were able to help me out with this.Went here a couple weeks ago to get my first helix piercing! I was a little nervous because I never had any piercings other than my earlobes, but the staff were knowledgeable and extremely professional. The shop itself is really cool, and the piercing room was very clean. All of the jewelry is top of the line and beautiful. They provided an aftercare pamphlet for taking care of my piercing, and I have had no issues! I plan on returning here for additional piercings in the future!

Dave did my nostril piercings today and they look phenomenal. Very professional and good at what he does. The girls who greeted me at the front were super sweet and professional and I love the vibe in this shop. Will definitely return for more piercings and jewelry in the future.

Very helpful staff and very clean and sanitary! Got second piercings for my ears here, and was able to purchase earrings there and get pierced quickly as a walk-in. Others had a bit of a wait - I beat the rush and a bit after I came in, three or four more parties of people showed up. Quite the popular place, I guess! A lot of their jewellery is very high-quality and pricey, but they had some more affordable items to select as well.The guy who actually performed the piercings was very informative, as well as super clean and efficient. Im definitely planning on coming in again.

I got my conch and upper cartilage pierced here back in May, and the experience was very clean and the staff were very welcoming. The jewelry was good quality, and was pricier than I had expected. I called in previously to inquire about bringing my own jewelry to pierce with, and they said they could not pierce with any hoops like I had done for my other piercings. The staff was very kind, but I was never told how to take care of my piercings after the fact. Having had many piercings already, I know how to take care of them, but the staff nonetheless did not tell me any specific aftercare for the carriage piercings. Luckily, they have healed well. I plan on going back to get a hoop earring for my conch piercing.

Very clean, friendly, professional people! I took my 13 year old daughter to get her ears double pierced instead of going to that place in the mall again. I did my research several months ago and chose Deep Roots because of their accreditations, piercers knowledge, and yes, all the reviews. It did not disappoint. The piercers name was Dave. He has been piercing for 23 years. The whole time I kept thinking, hes been piercing longer than most employees at that mall place have been alive! He really took time to explain the process and the after care. The piercing hardly hurt compared to a gun piercing. I wish I had mine second, third, and fourth holes pierced by someone like him (30 years ago)! Im thinking about finally getting my cartridge pierced, and when I do, Ill be sure to go to Deep roots!

My daughter wanted a second ear piercing and our entire experience at Deep Roots from first phone call to piercing was incredible. Every staff person was kind and consent was the key. My daughter really wanted the second piercing and was scared- the whole staff really inquired about whether or not she truly wanted to follow through and had amazing patience and thoughtfulness during every step. The actual piercing turned out to be a breeze for her. Dae did the piercing and you could not ask for a better human to walk you through this.

This place has the cutest plugs! I’ve been so excited to stretch, but these plugs are so cute, I keep putting it off. They have all different sizes of glass like no place I’ve seen around Seattle & Bellevue.I also got my ears pierced here. Everything was perfect. My piercer was awesome and found that one of the spots I was trying to have re-pierced was still open and helped me put jewelry in it. I’ve been here twice and don’t want to go anywhere else.

The service was super excellent and the wait time was a bit long. I did ears pierced and I really like Dave. His craft is very great, I like him! The only thing that worries me is that my right ear pierced for two and a half months. The bleeding and itching were red and swollen a few days ago. I hope to get the professional help. I am very scared now.

Very disappointing customer service. We called in the day before and arranged an appointment time for the following day with the front desk receptionist. We come in the following day during the appointed time, and the same sounding reception girl gives us a blank stare and tells us she does not see our name in her appointment book. Does not even apologize, acts annoyed, and tells us it will be about an hour as there are people ahead of us. We know we called ahead and were told the appointment was made. The fact that we did not even get an apology for a mistake clearly on their part and bothered to drive into Bellevue on our day off was very unfortunate. This business will not be getting our money.

Great service! Called before I came in and they covered all of my questions. What I need when I come in, what kinds of piercings they do, prices, when their piercer is in, etc. prices are a little higher than I expected but the quality of the piercing was great. Hedi was so nice and helpful, and did an amazing job. They even gave me a pack of sea salt to soak my piercing in. 10/10 recommend to anyone. :)

I have been coming to Deep Roots other locations for years! I am happy they are expanding to the eastside, since there is no professional tattoo shops out there. The new shop is beautiful and VERY CLEAN! The tattoo artist are very talented and always listen to what I want and give me amazing custom tattoos. The piercers always make me feel comfortable so its easy to get pierced by them. The selection of jewelry here is insane! They have everything from gold to fancy hand carved earrings. They really do have something for everyone! Cant wait to get more stuff done!

I took my 6 year old here to get her ears pierced. Her ears were bruised for more than a week. My older daughter didn’t have this problem at a different parlor. Ridiculously busy. The wait was way longer than we were told.

Ive been wanting to get my industrial pierced for awhile, and read a ton of reviews before finally deciding to go in and get it done.The service here is quick and friendly, and they genuinely want to make sure that youre happy with your piercings, as well as able to take care of them going forward.The piercing itself was painful (as to be expected, it is cartilage after all) but my piercer walked me through what he was doing and did a great job with placing my bar. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking to get pierced!

I love this place!! The tattoo artists are funny and pleasurable to be around. Sean and Amy were working when I went and both were very friendly and fun. The vibe in the place is awesome, and both times that I went (once to sketch out a tat, and the second time to get it done) there was a very short wait. They take appointments, but walk-ins are welcome.This was my first tattoo and I had it on the left side of my rib cage. Sean did an amazing job and he and my friends provided friendly banter and conversation throughout the process making it as enjoyable as it gets for a a tattoo in that area! I love this place and if I get another tattoo, I will definitely go back.

My wife and I are novice at the whole tattoo thing, we showed Ben what we wanted and he told us that he wouldnt recommend it. But he did have suggestions to look at and with his help we found an alternative that is probably better than the original idea. If you want not only quality art but good advice this is a great place and they are very nice and patient with newbies. Also extremely clean.

I was going to this Bellevue location for about a year when my tattoo artist worked there. I had an amazing tattoo artist, David Ekstrom (who I highly recommend), who did amazing work. I could rave about him for all day, but since he no longer works there I will refrain.I also recently received a nose piercing here from Kyle. He was amazing! I was super nervous and he kept me calm and was so quick- by the time I knew it we were done. I swear people say the nostril piercing hurts but I felt nothing, even afterwards. I literally had to check to make sure the jewelry when through; I think Kyle is just THAT good.The shop is super clean with a great selection of jewelry, although it is very expensive but great quality. The only thing I really disliked about this place is its layout. The people wanting to get pierced have to walk past the tattoo section. They stare quite hard at the people getting tattooed, which made me uncomfortable with my hip/side piece. It would be nice to have a block for the tattooers.They took good care of me through my tattoos and piercings, I highly recommend to friends.

My son and I went in for piercing -- lobes for him and a double helix for me. Avery, who helped us with information and jewelry selection, was cheerful, super friendly, and just all around awesome. His technique was gentle and efficient -- made it all feel very easy! We even got to meet the shops owner... everyone was so nice... I love Deep Roots! I got my nose pierced a few months ago. The piercer was very professional and nice enough to calm my nerves. Everything is very sterile and the jewelry itself was professional grade.I just came in again today to get advice on the dreaded bump near my piercing, and they gave my great advice on how to treat it and assured me it was totally normal for this to happen.All in all, I highly recommend this shop!

A fantastic place. All staff were great to talk with! The staff are highly educated and can explain the process and answer any questions. Regarding the different material options for piercings, how to guage properly etc. The decorations are a bit off putting for me but I am told thats the style here. Despite that its a clean, inviting and very upscale place with fantastic staff and great selection.

This place is accredited and professional, which is not the state requirement, but it does put them above the rest. They were kind and gave me all the info I needed and answered all questions. Id recommend this place to do any body modifications

Came here to get some high quality plugs. At a 0g, expect a small selection, but at a high quality. They offer great glass, wood, and stone jewelry, especially at larger sizes, but their pricing reflects that quality and the knowledge of their employees. If youre willing to pay more for the reassurance that your questions are being answered by the highly experienced, and for a higher standard for the jewelry there, this is your place. If youve been stretching for awhile or just need a pair to throw in, Id consider your options before paying $60+ for one pair of plugs that you will never wear again after you size up in a month or two.

The shop owner is an excellent piercer and friendly guy. I highly recommend him. The shop staff are welcoming and friendly, and are enthusiastic about helping out. I will definitely be back for my next piercing!

We came here for my daughters (5yo) first ear piercing. The staff, especially her piercer Dae, were phenomenal. They spoke to her, not just to me, and were incredibly patient and kind. We couldnt have asked for a better experience.

Explained to the girl at the counter I was tight on cash and she seemed to have not cared about a single thing I said. She helped me find a pair quickly then after I tried on the boughten pair of plugs they were too small on me even though I told her the size I needed. She wouldn’t let me exchange them after only trying them on once in the store. Left with a pair I can’t even wear and no money left to get myself a different pair. All could have been prevented if someone would have really listened to what I needed.

Had to have one piercing reopened and bought new jewelry. I love this place! Dont go anywhere else!

My mother and I went to get a Helix piercing the Saturday after Christmas around noon. Overall great experience. Friendly, clean, sterlie, and fair pricing.I highly suggest making appointments and arriving early to pick your jewlery or picking it the day before. We went to the Bellevue location and it was very popular. The front staff was calm, patient and friendly throughout the chaos. There is limited seating in the waiting room, but the whole establishment was very clean and welcoming.The jewlery is all high quality so expect to spend $40 - $200+ on jewlery. They are flat backed, so the post is a tube that is put in from the back and the front jewlery post snaps into the tube. They do have aftercare solutions you can purchase. The piercing price was very fair considering how sterile it was and the skill/continuing training of the piercer. At the time of our piercing, it cost $30 for a helix piercing.Kristina was our piercer. She was very friendly and thorough. The piercing process was very sterile and relatively quick.The piercer washed her hands infront of us and finished sterilizing the equipment and piercings. Kristina was thoughtful about the placement of the piercing, making sure I could fit a ring if desired and leaving room for my glasses. After you approved the placement, she let you pick what position you wanted to be in and did the piercing on the exhale of a big breath.

Okay, so this was my first ever tattoo and was hoping for a better experience. So do decided to deeproots after seeing some decent reviews.Dont be fooled.First off, you pay $50 for a consultation.This is what happens...You walk in, you walk up to one of their tattoo artists, who is currently working on someone elses tattoo.. and you tell them what you want your tattoo to be.Professionalism... Non existent. I felt that I paid for this, and was thinking that I would get seated and actually talk to a PROFESSIONAL about my wants and needs for my tattoo. This talk was not even 5 minutes long and I felt that the tattoo artist just wanted to get back to work.Giving the benefit of a doubt, I decided to go through the process of giving them the images of my tattoo so it can be prepared.Btw, if you were late to your appointment, you get charged a fee.I was there 5 minutes ahead of my time. And my tattoo artist was late 5 minutes to my appointment and didnt check on me till 15 minutes after.So do I charge him for being late? Lol yea, unprofessional.He walks up to me and gives me the sketches of the tattoos I asked for. I asked some questions but it seemed as though he wanted to just get back to his food which he came back from. (Looks like he was coming from his break).He made me feel as though my tattoo requests and questions were not important at all and made it seem like my requests was so simple that he can get it done WHEN its actually time to put the tattoo on. This interaction took less than 10 minutes...Which is definitely unacceptable.This is my first ever tattoo and my first experience with these people.Unfortunately, I will not be doing business with them.I paid $50 for a less than 30 minute personal consultation and a sketch I could make myself.Good luck deeproots.

They sent us back and forth fromOne shop to another and we wasted an entire day of our vacation. It was then very obvious that none of there artists were skilled enough to even do the tattoo. The artist was rude and thinks he’s some amazingly gifted artist yet he can’t tattoo a simple flower or something without hard lines. Would not recommend this shop!! The artist can tattoo you a child’s drawing but if you want anything at all artistic find a different shop!

Absolutely amazing! The staff were so sweet and amazing with the whole process of my piercings! Very clean and they made sure your comfort and cleanliness was very important! Highly recommend them!

I have been to this location twice now to buy jewelry for my nose piercings; both times the front desk girls were very helpful and friendly, even telling me how adorable my piercing looks. The piercers offered to put the jewelry in for me for free and were also super friendly. The place looks immaculate and its nice to have a shop that I can go to in Bellevue considering there are not a lot of options here. I am planning to get a tattoo done at the Alderwood location; hopefully it will be just as pleasant of an experience!

A must see attraction when visiting Victoria. I would alot a minimum of 4 hours just to see all the highlights.

I brought my 7yr old daughter to get her ears pierced. Dae was amazing! He was very patient with her and walked her step by step through the process. Now she has beautiful, sparkly ears! Thank you!!
