Poor customer service. Lots of late fees and transaction fees. Will cancel your policy and charge more fees without even a phone call if your card expires or something without you knowing. Never using liberty mutual again. I recommend avoiding it.

I have never had a group of people educate me so much on insurance. I want to thank the agents that have taken my phone calls and have helped me out. I now understand the importance of having the proper coverage and having a FANTASTIC local agent. No more calls over seas!. Woohoo!

Why isn’t there a zero star? I was a customer of Liberty Mutual for over 15 years. I purchased multiple types of insurance including car, home renters, life. I wanted to do some extensive traveling for several months. I paid all of my insurance 9 months in advance. When I did the representative put me at a biannual pay schedule for the discount and told me I could turn it to quarterly or monthly anytime. They also said that I would receive a notification via email and mail when my next payment was due. I didn’t receive either. My payment was a couple days overdue when I got back from my travels, having a lot less cash on hand. They told me they couldn’t change the amount to monthly because it was overdue. Ridiculous. I had to pay another six months for all of my insurance upfront which was impossible for me. This is a big company with a bunch of different parts that don’t talk to each other. If you have multiple insurances then you’re stuck making multiple calls to different people. In the end I found out I’m just a number that they get money from. That’s all they care about.

Ive been a Liberty Mutual customer for many years. Ive always gotten the best customer service. Everyone is so nice and competent. Theyve helped me through big events (car accident) and little stuff (locked keys in car). Ive added vehicles, and covered student drivers. I am grateful for this insurance company.

I am so sick of these Liberty Mutual commercials that try to sell on the idea that one is going to total his or her car, when the fact is, the odds are about one in ten million that would happen--not to mention, this full car replacement is something that every insurance company offers. What they should be talking about is how they handle liability claims more than you totalling your car. The worst of the what if hypotheticals this company is trying to push, and really tired of it. Not to mention, when I called, they quoted me a rate significantly higher than my State Farm Policy. Fact is, all insurance companies will pay up to 150% of blue book value on ANY car if its declared a total, but that is the worst reason for picking an insurance company. What really matters is how they handle claims as I mentioned. Liberty Mutual is just another brick in the wall, and because of their constant bombardment of commercials, which is where your premiums are going to pay for rather than a dividend back to the policy holder, I have to boycott Liberty Mutual for life, and you should too.Another lie that Libery Mutual puts out is the accident forgiveness clause, and they act like they are the only ones who dont raise rates with a minor accident. Nearly all insurance companies allow for up to $750 in damage without charging it against ones own collision, and in reality NOBODY files a claim generally under $2,000 or $3,000 anyway if its their own fault. Liberty mutual lies about other companies, and for that reason alone they should be boycotted.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE - do NOT get insurance at Liberty Mutual. It will end up costing far more money than the original quote and their preferred collision repair shops pad the bill so the next year your car insurance doubles in price! I was told that billing has to be auto withdraw from my checking account in order to be a customer and the amounts change constantly. There are so many better companies to get your insurance from.

My wife and I had perfect driving records, never a ticket or accident. We have two normal boring vehicles and had been customers for almost ten years. Three years in a row, our policy went up more than ten percent in cost. By the time I called to complain, my rate was fully three times all three of liberty mutuals closest competitors. The service was always good and Im sure in the event of an accident, they would be decent to work with, but their prices are far too high.I called to complain a year prior to leaving, and was told that I was getting all available discounts, and there was nothing they could do. When I called to cancel my policy, I was told I could request a re-rate, which would likely lower my policy. Seems like something I should have been told years ago.

Because I was rear ended by someone texting and driving, they wont even insure me. Never been in an accident that was my fault in the 18 years Ive been a licensed driver. Never gotten a single ticket in almost 20 years. Uninsurable by liberty mutual. Cancel your insurance with them now, you know that will try and weasel out of paying for anything when you need them.

Tuoc was GREAT !!! My auto rates were reduced by $600 dollars. Would recommend him to everyone.
