Not only was this company fair with their cost of the work they completed on my chimney, but both of the techs were very professional, knowledgeable of work needed, answered all my questions, and work quickly but safely to complete their repairs. I will use this company again for any of the other additional services they completed if I need them.Turn around time on the work was nice as well to see! I’m so glad I went with this company. We have been using Maine Chimney for years and highly recommend them. Professional, on time, friendly we feel safer after they have cleaned and checked our 60 year old fireplace. We are ready for the next woodburning season. Bonus - They never leave a mess.

Had a very good experience with with our service technician. He explained what caused our soot buildup and what he was doing to clean it up. He was very friendly and helpful with any questions we had.

Called MCS to clean and inspect my chimney after purchasing my house. Josh was on time and very polite. Went above and beyond to clean out the leaves and dead animals that had accumulated from years of previous homeowners neglect. Gave recommendations on how to prevent any other issues with leaves and animals getting trapped in the chimney. Will definitely use them in the future.

They came out for a 30 - 35 minute inspection before Christmas and took pictures of the interior of the chimney. I was told I would get a bid over email and was charged around $100. It is May. I have never received a bid though I have called the office numerous times. Whomever is answering the phone seems nice, but has never given me a straight answer as to if they have plans to insert a liner or not. The check, however, was cashed within a couple of days of the inspection. I would like the photos and my $100 back.

Josh and Brandon came on time and were thorough. And although more of their time was spent explaining the problem with our basement fireplace than anything else we certainly appreciated the time and effort. We would certainly use them again.

The service man was friendly and very thorough - and not just about our chimney but had pictures and explained all the problems we are having with the roof and chimney leaking. Very professional and would highly recommend them.

Call someone else! We called for a chimney cleaning. After the inspector was there for 5 minutes, he said we needed repairs done before we were able to use it. He said he needed $110 for his time that day (again, only 5 minutes) and also had to have it to move forward with giving us a quote for a repair. That was 3 weeks ago. My husband has called several times to get a repair quote and we keep getting the run around from the lady that answers the phone, they wont get back to us. That was an easy $110 they made!

Maine has outdone themselves again!The technician that arrived at my house was extremely polite and friendly.At the time of my first appointment, Maine performed an inspection and gave detailed information on things that they recommend to be fixed/serviced. All of the information given made sense and was useful! Additional information was left with me and my family after the visit.When we had them come out for a follow-up inspection into the burning season, they informed us about our burning habits, which were accurate, and how we could use our unit with better efficiency. They then swept our unit and paid attention to be extra careful with their equipment and how clean they were leaving our space. When they packed up after the sweep, they had left the area nicer than it was before arriving.Thank you MCS!

The technicians that came out to clean our flue were very polite and professional. They brought a floor covering to protect our carpet and left no mess at all. They were also very informative, explaining what repairs they recommended and why.

WHAT A WASTE OF TIME! I called to have a fireplace inspected/cleaned. The lady agreed to contact the tenant at my rental property right away to schedule the service call and would send me an e-mail to advise me of appointment and then email me the service bill. She didnt call the tenant, or email me. I reached out to them a second time and left a message to ask if they had issues with contacting the tenant...But they didnt even have the professionalism to return my call.

Great work! The gentlemen that came out were very nice and explained what they were going to do before completing their work. They used floor covers and left no trace of a mess when they left. Would recommend!

I had these folks clean my chimney for the winter season. I also had them replace the crown on the top of my chimney. They did an excellent job on both, and both at a fair price. Will definitely be using them again in the future.

They were in our house 15 minutes (max) = $165. And, I was told that if we did not vacuum the fireplace before they got here there would be an additional charge - really? Dont have your kids go to college, have them start a chimney service.

First time I had them out they did a great job! I even called the office to comend the technician. Second time I had them out they did a horrible job. I had requested the same technician as last time but they didnt send him the guys show up one dirty and full of soot didnt wear covers over their shoes didnt clean up after them self I had to provide plastic tarp so they didnt get soot all over my floor and fire place then they over charged me which they ended up fixing that.

These guys did a great job getting my fireplace up and running. They were very kind and honest about the work that needed to be done. The price was reasonable as well!!

I had a very good experience with this company. The technician appeared fairly promptly, the staff were extraordinarily courteous in person and on the phone, and the work was performed quickly and efficiently. The young man who swept my chimney advised me how to avoid further cracking of the firebox; removed the antiquated, poorly designed fire grate and installed a new one, all at a reasonable price. Good people, good work.

Took me a few times to get a hold of this company. I was never given a time they would be showing up the day of inspection, and when I called it was very hard to get passed their voicemail. The woman who finely answered the phone did apologize for forgetting to ask for my number and not returning my call (which I dont understand why she didnt reference the nearly 5 calls I made in voice mail prior). Once the man did show up he did say he would provide some pricing based on several pictures he took to fix the brick work on my 1908 tudor inside the house. Three days later, I only recieved the receipt for the inspection, nothing reflecting my request. Of course when I call the next two times and leave a message, no reply phone, email or otherwise. Never heard from again.

Terrible experience with this company! Spoke with lady on phone who never returned our calls, left 3 messages and not a word back.... They sent a technician out and so called inspected our fireplace and chimney, gave us a document saying it is safe to use- and the whole house fills with smoke?!!! Rip off. All we want is our money back. Over $100 for what?? What a shame this familt company cant get this right. Very Dissappointed. Facebook has a site too. People should know how rotten our experience was!

Terrible service - came to my house & took 2 pictures and said would provide a bid to repair or replace. I called back to find out not interested in providing me a bid or chimney service. Waste of TIME ! Avoid this business - poor communication

I dont know what to say, but response was not good.

Refuse to ever do business with this company again. Made an appointment for a repair and they were a no show. When I called to find out what the problem was, I was told there was no appointment and was basically told I was lying.
