Making attempt number ... I have completely lost count to try to return my replaced cable modem today.Besides the quick and easy setup that was neither, the whole conveniently drop this off at one of our locations has been a hysterical comedy of issues, with lunch breaks from 1pm to 2pm, oh wait no, now its 1:15 to 2:45. Total close the retail location, turn off the lights, lunch breaks.And no, Im not dumb enough to drop equipment in their convenient drop slot. Considering that if you dont ask for a retuened equipment receipt, they just throw it in the reuse pile and your account is at the whim of whenever that equipment registers to another account for it to remove from yours. Or just having to argue endlessly that you returned it.

Suddenlink has the worst customer service that Ive experienced from a cable company. Theres absolutely no continuity between the store and the slave labor employees overseas. I asked if they had a dropbox for equipment, and the overseas customer service rep told me no. When I got to the store, they had a Dropbox. The lady I spoke with told me that they may as well lock the doors, if they answered phones . What did companies do before the overseas slaves, that are useless to when it comes to answering questions. I paid my regular$100 this month, but only used 2 weeks, and they dont prorate. Suddenlink has slower internet than they claim as well. Theyre not a good company, and theyre supporters of sending American jobs overseas, for a higher profit, but theyre busy tactics still stay greedy, when it comes to customers. Im sick of talking to foreign slaves, when I need a question answered.

Do NOT recomend Suddenlink to anyone!Dont waste your time nor money, with Suddenlink.Anytime you have to call, you will be on the phone for hours, they will harass you, your bill will get higher each month-even if you havent went over usage, they will refuse to disconnect your service - and wont disconnect your service til a month after you cancel. Way too many reasons to keep listing. Take your business else where.

Ive paid for phone service for 7 months and have yet to get to make a call. The tech said he left a note on my door this morning because I was not home. My crippled azz has had front door open since 7:45 and I been on my porch since 10. No other tech has had a problem finding me and several have been here because Suddenlink is the worst business Ive ever dealt with on my life. They always say a superior will call me back but I DONT HAVE A PHONE YOU FOOLS!!!

Worst company Ive ever seen. Since May 2021 Ive been promised the Internet 400 package (unlimited) but keep getting charged for overages of internet. Finally after more than 24 hours of trying to talk with a supervisor and she tells me its basically my fault that the company didnt make the switch. So now Im stuckpaying over $400 for a service I dont even have. Honestly the worst company and customer service (If you can call it that) that Ive ever seen

I would be happy if they would have a constant channel without glitches in it! It seems like it freezes on stations a lot!Also, I don’t think the internet service is as good as it should be! Every time you have service workers you get a different story!I will say their customer service is friendly and helps me when I need help or a due date change! So many companies offering services now for cheap; I hate I have to call and ask for promos! I think the people who been with y’all almost 20 yrs., like us should get a good promo! If I could give 0 stars I would. I had never heard of this company until I relocated to an area that uses them as an internet/cable/ phone company. I signed up for services and was quoted a price for the services. Afterwards, the cable person comes with a DVR box which I explicitly explained I didnt want over the phone and was charged for all kinds of things. I have called 4 times trying to get the price I was quoted, only to be lied to by the representatives who say that the price I was quoted isnt a deal they have, yet in my mailbox there is a promo for a cheaper price for new clients. Im not even trying to get the cheaper price, just the price I was quoted! They are horrible and each representative I have spoken to had lied and told me something different, some of them have claimed to be supervisors. Please choose someone else and not these liars.

No help could be found anywhere, in any department!!! Its sad that a person has to reference their internet standing in the middle of your store!!! Google was more willing to help me and my kids find what we needed than your associates!! Severely disappointed in my visit today..... I wont be visiting anytime soon, Ill drive to Charleston to Home Depot for material needed for my outside projects. Id probably make it there and back home(an hour away) with the stuff I went for faster and with less stress

Suddenlink suddenly hiked my monthly bill from $86 to $236 with NO change to our service. My wife and I are retired and have minimal internet demands. Basic cable with no premium channels. I spent hours on the phone with 8 different reps before they admitted there was an error in the bill. They admitted the error but only reduced the bill to $136.Suddenlink is the WORST!

Ive had a few people in the past. Run out of my home. Saying they will return to complete the task. But never make their way back. And some have claimed to be at my address. When they in fact were not present. Today, for the first time. The technician didnt make excuses. To not do his job. You can say he went over and beyond to. Ensure quality service. Rating this three stars. Because i do not agree with. How sudden link treats employees. Could be another reason some dont take the job seriously. Please, suddenlink. Recognize the people who take pride in the work they do. Maybe then you wont receive so many complaints

They are money hungry. Increased my bills without notice. I cut my service in February 15, called 2 times to make sure it gets discontinued. I returned the router as well. I received a $70 bill in March. Called them, they said they could see the note where I discontinued it, but nobody actually stopped the service so I would still have to pay for March bill. Will never use them again!

Suddenlink is the worst internet service provider ever!! Their internet connection is extremely unreliable, drops out on daily basis, every 4-5 hours in my own experience. Not just that, their internet lags the entire time as well. I pay for 400Mbps, but get only somewhere between 4Mbps or 50 Mbps. This had been a drag for months, but nothing seem to be done to fix. Dont even bother to call their customers service, they are the worst of all aspects about Suddenlink. Contacting them to only get more frustrated with hours of waiting, and zero solution to resolve the problem we had with their internet.Its a good ridden after all to tell them Im done with their bs service. F*ck Suddenlink!

*Update: I went into this store and was very pleased with the service I received from Missy. I was also VERY thankful to see the steps being taken to maintain social distancing and cleanliness. The staff is really on it. However, while there, I overheard several others clients come in complaining of the same auto pay/disconnection issue. From a provider stand point that is still concerning, but the service I received was much better with Missy.

Beware how you cancel your services. I canceled my services before the next billing cycle, but I needed to give them three weeks notice so that the transaction of service disconnect could be completed. No one told me this and they told me that all I needed to do was return my equipment. I have the confirmation that the equipment was returned and the date, but they said that didn’t matter that they could charge me so they were going to and it was just my bad luck that no one told me. I will never use there services again because this isn’t the first time they have had horrible customer service. Just beware of their shady business practices.

I changed from Frontier because I was told I would be locked in at 145.00:: a month. I just got a bill for 214.00, last month 170.00.;You cannot reach someone at customer service without jumping through hoops and being on the phone an average of 45 minutes.I am totally disgusted with this service. I’m on a fixed income and I keep getting the run around since I signed up in January. I will have to find another carrier, I cannot afford this with all the hidden charges.I was deceived about the price. I find they have poor customer service. Your bill goes up every time you get a bill for no apparent reason, you call to see why, Its someone in a foreign country, who does not have a clue and will say they are gonna transfer you to another dept. And hangs up.This company does not care, just send money and shut up.

Every low star review is accurate. Bill keeps getting higher with no warning, internet speeds aren’t up to par as they advertised or claim, they leave you on hold for long periods of time just to give you the run around, lie and lie some more, make it seem like your at fault for some stuff, and even if they say they’ll do something to fix an issue, almost always it is NEVER done right away or ever. An absolute freaking headache this company is! Not at all worth anybody’s hard earned money or time.

For five years I never had an issue. I upgraded my service to 1Gb and I get a quarter of that now. the only time I get any where close to what Im paying for is around 3-7 am . Its not worth the price. Then their fix is always send a Technion out and charge you for it or foreign customer care whom are limited in their capabilities.

I would rate them with negative 5 stars if I could. I hope other internet companies come to this state so that Suddenlink goes out of business! No transparency! They lie to you about the plans you have then always increase your bill a year later stating the price was only a promotional discount. The phone calls are recorded but they will not honor what they say or promise. Their speeds never run as fast as theyre supposed to either. Its a shame WV is ripped off by this company that doesnt deserve anyones business here!

I went to trade in my phone, and they had to get it approved by customer service which means they sent me away to wait on an email. I was willing to pay off the phone I have and purchase an iphone outright. I am not blaming the employees in the store at all, its the company. They are terrible.

This is the absolute worst company ever. They will manipulate the bill in any way shape and form to ensure they get a bigger profit every time. You will have their customer service number saved in your phone with the amount of issues you will receive by this company. If you are looking for a quality internet service provider I’m not sure where you can find one but it won’t be with Suddenlink. All of their quipment reads incorrectly, you will be told that you have full service internet that will be high speed, it might be high speed if it worked but you’ll never even be able to connect to it with the pathetic excuse they are calling internet. When you do call their customer service they won’t help you and will lie and say your problem is fixed it never is. It’s not worth your time you’d be better off getting a jar of mud slapping the label “internet provider” and giving them all your money because the quality of service that you’d get from that mud would be better.

Our land line was out for over a month. They FINALLY came to fix it and had to put in a new modem. When they did that, our internet went out. One if the guys stood around then went and sat in the truck. The other guy doing the work left the box with the modem info and told us to call the 800 number to get the modem reconnected. It’s been two days now with no success. This company is disgusting and totally useless!

Frontier service is slower but its worth not having to deal with the worst customer service I have ever received. Haven’t seen her lately so hopefully she was dismissed from her role.The service is horrible for a cable company, as a whole, was paying 220$ for the longest time until March when they told me I should’ve only been paying 140$ for the services I have(on call never go to the store)which is what I now pay.I have every channel and somehow my apps won’t work with Suddenlink. THE NFL APP doesn’t work with Suddenlink despite having every sports channel available. But to bring it full circle the service with the customer reps they have make this company obsolete. 2021 no need for cable anymore. They set my 84 year old mother in-law price at $135 for next 12 months. Very next invoice raised it to $145 my wife called and asked questions why and basically only answer she received was “because we can!” They are crooks I had them for 6 years and I started a bundle around $86 and in 6 years it was over $165 for same service that new customers were paying less than $90 for. Every year they would raise my bill $10 or more I would call and complain and they would drop it a few dollars for a few months then raise it back up. They are a greedy company and I recommend staying away from them unless you have no choice. It’s true what you read in these reviews they raise your bill every year and within 4 years you are paying close to double what you started!

Long line of people waiting, but an employee helped those that were waiting in line that had billing questions or making payments. I tried to get answers to my billing question by phone, but person was not helpful at all. Only took the lady at the office a few seconds to answer my question. I also had trouble understanding the person that I spoke to on the phone because he didnt speak very clear English.

Absolutely the worst company Ive ever had the displeasure of dealing with. First they lowered our data cap from 250GB to 150GB with no warning or reason and then took it upon themselves to raise our bill an extra $10 a month. When we asked them about it they claim we never had the 250GB plan and when I showed them proof they changed their story and claim we called and requested a lower data cap and speed. If you call and try to cancel your service you cant because youre on hold for hours and you cant use their website to cancel because they tell you you have to call.

I absolutely hate Suddenlink. I had them years ago and switched to another provider bc of high bills and fees always going up. I thought since they had a program that did not increase your bill they would be different this time. I was WRONG! Since signing up with Suddenlink in November, I have had nothing but outrageous bills, and having to argue monthly bc of the fees. I’m so sick of this, I’m likely to cancel again. This company has the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! My mother in law has had service issues since October. Techs have came out and replaced her modem and drop and no improvement in the service. Every time it rains, snows, or the wind blows everything goes out. One tech came out in November and said it was the hard line running from pole to pole and it needed to be replaced. He put in an order for it to be replaced. A guy came out and said it didnt need it and left. In December it went out again and the same tech came out again and put in an order with his supervisor to replace it. No one came out. Since then it still goes out. So we called customer service and they said they do not see a problem despite everything being out. We called corporate. Corporate sent out a tech and replaced the drop even though that was NOT THE PROBLEM, THE POLE TO POLE IS THE PROBLEM. When corporate called back after the tech we advised the line replaced was not the issue and had been replaced in December. The executive solutions support rep Theo was THE RUDDEST person I have ever talked to on the phone with a company in my entire life! He was NOT listening to the issue. We explained this issue has been going on for six months but he kept saying it started yesterday. We asked how many times a tech has been called out since October and he said it was the customers responsibility to keep those records and would not answer the question. We asked who to contact if the issue happens again since the problem was not fixed correctly and he gave customer services number who has not fixed the issue to THIS DAY! He kept saying Ive told you everything I can tell you so have a good day. We had to stop him from ending the call on us because we were still trying to all questions and he just wanted off the phone. At this point we have no choice but to file a BBB complaint, fcc complaint, and write the attorney General because no one in this company will take the time to listen to what the only intelligent tech said needed to be replaced and fix it so we never have to call again! I would not recommend this service to my worst enemy. Customer service is terrible and they do not care about their customers!

When trying online for a live chat, I noticed a new network service fee on my account and Im assuming that since I have no TV theyre adding surcharges for data plans without notification.... From the start, Suddenlink’s customer service has been atrocious. The only reason I’m giving them two stars instead of one is because the service I am receiving seems to be working well.The person that set up my account did so incorrectly, resulting in my paying for services that I cannot receive. It took three separate calls to customer service for them to tell me that the only way to resolve the issue was to raise my monthly bill. On top of that, the first person I spoke with was barely even paying attention to me during the call. He also informed me after quite some time on the phone that Suddenlink would contact me within a couple of days to resolve the issue. More than a week went by and no one contacted me.I am strongly considering other options, and I believe everyone should do the same.

Worst customer service ever! I have been a customer for about 20 years and have had to change my programming several times because the bill keeps going up. I finally had to cancel all service ( phone, internet and cable). Tried to cancel the end of February but was told that I had to keep service or. I would lose my phone number. Called back on March 9th and was told by a supervisor in billing that they would prorate my bill for the 9 days. Got my bill today and was for the whole month, called and now they say I have to pay the whole month. Total BS. Wouldnt even put me to a supervisor today, said none available. Will never use them again and will recommend all family and friends not to use Suddenlink.

I just started service with the company And have yet to have my internet Installed. I received a bill though and when I try to I speak with customer service it seems that no one can answer the phone but the automated service never fails to inform me I have to wait up to a week for a call back. So far, it hasnt been a very good company I will most certainly be looking into other options.

I called suddenlink to start the service then once she did she told me the promo price was no longer available so I said well cancel it I dont want it. She said i had to use the chat for Altice. They told me they couldnt cancel the service for 4 to 5 days which coincidentally was when my first payment would of came out so I cancelled my credit card so I wouldnt be charged. I have messaged them over 20 times. A month later they finally changed my acct to a balance due of $3.29 and no one can tell me why and immediately the next added a late charge when they tell me to wait for 2 billing cycles to get the account credited they charge a late fee? Tou can never talk to a human at all and the foreign chat center never understands what your asking. I am canceling all of my suddenlink communications services as well now because they were the ones that lied to sign me up saying it was $20 a month but then once I was signed up said it was $30. Going to my lawyer when this virus is done to talk about a class action suit because Im not the only one they have refused to cancel the service on when told to and shady tactics to get additional customers.

Worst service ever,tried to upgrade 2 times each time the worker came he didnt know what to do, since France bought them out every thing is a mess ! When you call cant understand who U R speaking to . the Beckley office is no help at all, pitiful ! they need competition bad .....I have had it with Suddenlink . bad enough I am paying $48.75 for 34 Channels! Their tech came 2 times to bring a remote and upgrade and did neither, after looking at his phone to see that he was supposed to have done that ! then I get a bill for $60.00 for a trouble call the company SUCKS !!!

I spoke with a guy at the Center to see if they service my area and no one came over to check my location to see if they could offer me Internet. He said they would come in 3 days. Well... They never showed up!

Hello, My service started July 4, 2019. I have home phone, internet and tv . Love love all 3 services. But the billing and customer service is terrible. I am going to write to Suddenlink and if I don’t get a resolution to my concerns I will contact our Attorney Generals Office for their help !! There is no reason for this problem this day and time. I am a senior citizen and want to be treated fairly, Thank you

I kept asking over and over when I got Suddenlink what my bill would be with taxes and all and I was told $115 total for the first year. Im being charged $140-something instead and within a few weeks the TV has already gone out. I called and they cant even find the TV box included in my account after already paying my first payment of $191.00 for it yesterday and they cant even help me find where the stupid serial number is on that box so theyre telling me to take the box to a Suddenlink store instead meaning I am without expensive television I am paying extra for for 4 days.

I agree with others..... this should be a zero rating!! Internet went out on November 20th. I called for technician before Thanksgiving and earliest appointment was 12-7-19. Technician came out and replaced modem, but said a chip was bad in the outside tap. He said he didn’t have chip in his truck, but that he called another technician to bring one out and said he would be here in 20 minutes. An hour and a half later no one showed up. I called Suddenlink and they told me that the work order had been closed out by the first technician. I rescheduled for December 11th. When I called Suddenlink customer service told me I would not have to be home since it was outside the house. I came home and still no Internet. Called and they set up another appointment for December 14 between 5 and 8 PM. It is now 9:56 pm and after three phone calls asking where the technician is, still getting the same answer he is on his way. How is this company still in business???? Ready to take all equipment back to Suddenlink and drive to locations with WiFi! This is unbelievable!!!!!

We have had this service for one week, nothing but problems, we are going with someone else. We have had three different techs after the second one did not show up. No one seems to know how to install more then 1 box? Can not talk to any one in customer service that can speak English so dont press 1...will be canceling my service today

I pay alot of money for Suddenlink internet. I called to be told I will have no internet for a week until a technician can get to my house!so i did my own trouble shooting at home and realized I need a new modem, I got to the Suddenlink office at 531 where there was like 20 people inside. Some guy who looks like he hasnt showered in 7 days and lives in a trailer with no under pinning said I was not allowed to come in they closed 1 minute ago. Screw Suddenlink and screw that guy
