Jason and the team came to help finish some projects the seller of our house didnt do before closing. His estimate was through and helped us make sure we got additional quotes before we selected the best price. The work was perfect and they helped us finish the cleanup needed in the Kitchen and Bathrooms of our house to get the painting redone, caulking, and sorting out our fixtures and flooring so everything was in order! We also had Jason help us with a few handyman tasks around the house to finish up some additional things since we had just moved in. Great team and would highly recommend!
!!!!BEWARE OF SHINEPRO!!!!I hired Jason to add a bathroom to my new home. While the worked seemed good at the time it quickly started going south. The new walls started separating from the existing ceiling and walls, the tile grout started falling out and major gaps started to form. After reaching out on multiple occasions and being told his “assistant” would contact me later that day or the next to schedule a time to do the warranty work. After 8 months of trying to get the work fixed, I threatened to hire someone else and he let me know someone would be onsite to fix the issues and said if I didn’t agree to the date and time I would forfeit my right to the “callback.” I let them know that the gaps in the shower have been getting worse over the 8 months and that I was nervous there would be more damage than what could be seen. He said if you don’t see a leak in the room below the shower its not leaking and he would not double check he would only caulk and re-grout and that was it. He has yet to come and actually look at the issues to even make a claim that that is all he would need to do and informed me it was not a warranty issue as he does not warranty the labor and only offers 6 hours free for touchups… and failing grout and walls separating from the existing ceiling and walls falls under the “touch up session.”I had to call in 3 contractors to look at the issues all of which said the tile needed to be removed and the framing and subfloor needed to be inspected because of how bad the cracking was in the walls and the fact that the grout was gone on the floors. Jason’s response to this was of course the contractors said that, their job is the “sell.” So, I had my brother who is a GC and has been a contractor for over 10 years in TN and my Uncle who has owned his own construction company for over 40 years tell me what needs to be done since they would not be “selling” me on the work… and they each agreed with the other 3 contractors. I informed him of this and let him know I would be having someone else fix the issues because I no longer trusted him to do work. I will be reporting him to the CCB!This is just the beginning of the issues I have come across with him. He argues about everything even if he is wrong and loves to blame everything on everyone else but himself… its always an employee’s fault, a manufacturer’s fault, a shipper’s fault, but never Jason’s fault. His go to is blaming the house settling… even ones as old as mine which was bult in the late 70’s. He has made statements about being a new contractor and still learning but will bite your head off if you try to explain the right way to do it or give advice. I have been in this industry for about 15 years now. I have an understanding of codes and industry standards which is required to know when you work on permit documents.I would highly recommend that people stay very cautious if they decide to move forward with him. As a designer I will no longer recommend him to my clients and have removed him from the approved list. Due to his attitude towards clients, his unprofessionalism with clients and subs, and his extremely unethical behavior.
Got a quote to replace a window and was given a start date two weeks later. Paid 2/3 of quoted price. That date came and went, pushed back another 12 days. After calling on Friday to find out what time they would would be starting on Monday, they emailed me a complete cancellation. Sorry, held your money for a month but wont be able to do the job. Had I known, I would have found another contractor. Dont waste your time.
The ShinePro crew did an awesome job on my last project, though the job did take a little longer to complete than expected per contract, it was at NO Extra cost to me and I am quite satisfied with the work.I have used their services a few times for things like drywall repair, painting, gutter cleaning and will definately be calling them again to remodel my Master Bath area. Thanks so much for the hard work guys! (and gals!)
We recently had a home remodeled by ShinePro Building Solutions. The house was originally a rental and after having 4, 40 cu. yard dumpsters filled and removed, Jae and his designer layed out the perfect plans for a home we wanted to move in to. The house needed to be completely gutted. Walls were removed and all windows and doors were replaced. The kitchen was completely remodeled with quartz countertops, new cabinets, artisan tiles on the kitchen wall, an island and new flooring gave us our dream kitchen. They also remodeled the small bathroom and installed a small but classy subway tile shower. They removed the small master bathroom and walk-in closet to expand a beautiful and functional master bedroom. All of the lighting was replaced and new designer lights were installed over the island and dining room. On the outside they replaced the garage doors and came up with a great idea to wrap the garage in stained cedar which complemented the replaced siding and a wonderful new paint job. We have recently moved into the home and love it! We have hired ShinePro for Phase 2 which is an 11 x 16 Master Bedroom attached to a large back yard deck and hot tub. Thanks Jae and team!
Let me preface this review by saying the low rating is not a reflection of the quality of work of his crew, it is a reflection of Jason, the owner of the company. Jason was often unprofessional, communicated poorly, and, I believe, blatantly lied to me on numerous occasions. I hired his company on the advice of my decorator, who did an outstanding job. However, the decorator told me that Jason should have performed a final walk through of the job with me. I don’t believe he ever intended to do so because he sent the final invoice without scheduling a walk through, noting on bill in bright red letters that my account was overdue by approximately one month. That statement was blatantly false as his crew finished the job the day before I received the final invoice. After speaking with the decorator, Jason told me I paid the bill before he had a chance to schedule the final walk through. If that was true, he should not have sent a bill stating I was overdue on my payment. After scheduling the walk through at the instance of my decorator, Jason add to the insult by demanding that I have all the counters clean so he could take pictures for his portfolio. Never mind the fact that I did not give him permission to take photographs and the right to do so was not in my contract.Early in the job, he admitted he forgot to order one of the countertops. Then, the tile for the backsplash was damaged in shipment. Granted, the damage was no fault of Jason’s, but he emailed to tell me the news. I would think a huge hiccup like that in the renovation plan might have warranted a phone call, rather than an email. Then, the manufacturer send the wrong drains for the three bathroom sinks being installed. I had chosen my own plumber to install the sinks at a nearly $1,000 savings to myself; however, Jason insisted that he would never have had the problem if I used his plumber. I have a right to hire whomever I desire to install the sinks without criticism from him. After the job started, I decided I wanted tile installed on one 48-inch window sill. I could not believe how much whining he did over that requesIn summary, I have never been treated so poorly by a contractor. So, while his crew’s work was satisfactory, I would never recommend Shine Pro as a company to do business with.
Kido of mine was playing ball in the house, a wonderful new hole appeared in the drywall that needed fixed ASAP. Jason came and provided a free estimate and had the work done beautifully within 2 days! Its like it never happened. Definitely recomend!
These guys are great, from start to finish! Very nice family owned business. I called them for some wallpaper removal, some wall repairs from the kids, and painting a few rooms. Nothing Major, but these guys just made everything so simple and at a pretty fair price too i think What i like most though, is the convenience of being able to call them for anything from repairs to exterior cleaning services. Would recommend to anyone seeking an honest contractor
Excellent customer service! I called them to replace 2 windows in my home. they were able to give me an estimate the same day i called. the price seemed a LITTLE high, but im a firm believer in getting what you pay for. Jason is a great handyman to work with. i recommend giving him a call for any home repairs or upgrades! keep up the great work guys!
