They were immediately available to assist me at their walk-up service entrance (appointments may be necessary in the main gallery) and spent a long time discussing the job and ensuring the fit would be perfect. Beautiful things are worth waiting for! My husband & I will celebrate our 25th anniversary soon and wanted custom bands to fit my existing wedding ring. From start to finish, over the 8 weeks required to complete the work, Angela Bevill was a joy to work with! When she presented the finished rings, I was speechless. They are stunning! We would work with Smith & Bevill again with no hesitation.

Too difficult to do business through a plexi-glass of this magnitude. Communication was lost and quality was sacrificed. Was also told that they were unable to size my ring properly, only to find out from another custom jeweler, that is most certainly could be done, without purchasing an entire new setting. It was a great ride, 27+ years, but it was clearly time to move on. We no longer feel like a valued customer.

Their goldsmith and appraiser aren’t there everyday, so I was super surprised when everything was done so quickly. The ring resize is perfect. Amazing work done on my great, great grandmothers ring. So excited to finally be able to wear it again. Angela was a joy to work with. Took less than 2 weeks for a resize and full restoration.

Making my appointment over the phone was very pleasant, and they had next day availability. Great! I’ve been meaning to get my wedding bands resized for years. Morning of, I was running late. Shoot. I made a call and said I’m so sorry, running 15 minutes late. My maps say I’ll be there right at 11:45. No problem at all they say. There are 2 coming in for watch resizing and they’ll just prioritize those clients since their appointments began at the same time mine was supposed to. Great. Once I got to the door, I called them and let them know I’m here. They mentioned the fact that I’m late and that I’ll need to go to the back door in about 10 minutes. Alright, yes we knew I’d be late and you confirmed this still works. No need to say it again. I hang in my car for 10 minutes (no problems with this at all, it comes with the territory of being late) and find my way to the back of the building. Once I get to the door I realize I’m not going to be seen indoors. It’s so cold. I call the number again and she lets me know she’s coming. Opens the plexi glass slot and asks what size ring I need. Well I don’t know, that’s why I am here. She offers the sizer and I find that I need an 8. I’m feeling more and more uneasy that I’m not going to be invited in, and expected to just hand my valuables over with nothing signed, all based on “trust” I must have with strangers who have me at their back door. I hesitated handing my rings to her but she said her daughter needed to see them so she could give an estimate (it makes sense, but I’m outside, cold and feeling increasingly undervalued as a potential customer. Why can’t I sit inside? Others are inside.) so what’s the deal? Is it only because I was late that they needed to fit me in with backdoor treatment? Or is this how the high rollers are treated too? I wish this was communicated on the phone. “Sorry, we are not able to accommodate indoor appointments” or “yes we can still squeeze you in but we’ll have to see you in the back” give me some realistic expectations please. I would have brought a better jacket. After a minute I was met with a small dog under one arm, my rings in an acrylic tray on the other and the apologetic employee (who seemed nice but very overwhelmed) saying sorry we’re so busy today. It just didn’t matter at that point, whatever quote I was getting I was going to take my business elsewhere. Maybe you could read this and think hey Amy’s in the wrong for being late. And I totally see that. I should have been on time. Did that color the rest of it? I am not sure. No matter what, I don’t understand the backdoor service and lack of communication, which I made sure to offer on my part. So for that, I am moving on. 3 stars (instead of less) for excellent phone service yesterday and this morning. That sounded like the same person, and she was very sweet.

What an incredible overall experience my wife and I had at Smith & Bevill in Beaverton, OR! I have had my eyes on purchasing an Omega watch for quite some time now, and eventually decided on a Speedmaster FOIS (First Omega In Space) model - not necessarily an easy watch to find. We decided to make some calls around to certified Omega retailers, but it only took one call to Smith & Bevill to know this is where we wanted to make our purchase. Angela was extremely helpful on the phone and through text messages, and we were able to schedule a private appointment the following weekend for 1 hour to meet and look at watches. She confirmed for us right away that the FOIS model was in the shop.When we got there, the setup was unique. Due to COVID-19, the majority of the store was closed to the public and they set up a comfortable section of storefront behind a large glass window with a few cases of jewelry and watches specially curated based on what we might be interested in looking at. Overall, the set up was great in that we were able to view exactly what we needed, discuss with Angela without any difficulty, and keep a safe social distance from each other to feel comfortable (no contact shopping). The Omega Speedmaster FOIS was front and center, and Angela displayed a few other options for me to look at also which was very nice (other Speedmasters, Seamasters, etc.). We talked about the watch for some time, and it was clear Angela was very knowledgeable about the watch (history, components, and care of the watch) and answered all my questions. I was able to try on the watch and it was a perfect fit. I did not feel pressured to buy or undervalued in any way (my wife and I are admittedly on the younger side - we look like babies haha) but everyone at Smith and Bevill was extremely professional and friendly.The purchasing process was so quick and efficient, and while Angela was getting everything set up her Father showed us some of his Speedy collection which was AMAZING. So much fun to see a watch connoisseurs collection and have him talk about the history of the watches.Overall, everything was so smooth and far exceeded my expectations. My wife and I will absolutely be returning in the future for any jewelry or Omega watch needs, and we would highly recommend Smith & Bevill Jewelers to anyone we know. The store is quite charming with an amazing selection of jewelry. What I found so unique was the inclusion of very well curated vintage pieces mixed among the moderns. Absolutely stellar customer service. Initially came in with my girlfriend to look at a couple timepieces, Angela was very patient with us even though we flagrantly didnt notice the BIG SIGN IN THE WINDOW saying it was by appointment. Now, not only do I have a timepiece which will last the rest of my life, but I have a great story and experience to go with it. I had Smith & Bevill make a custom engagement ring for my fiancée using family stones and they did an amazing job. I live out of state and they worked with us throughout the process to ensure that we were able to get exactly what we needed. I will happily use them again in the future!

I have been using Smith and Bevill for over 20 years. Got diamond earrings, diamond necklace and my wedding ring plus an anniversary ring. They have the best jewelry and very high quality. I only wear certain pieces of jewelry and they are the ones from Smith and Bevill. I have always been totally satisfied and continue to be a loyal customer.

I needed to have an appraisal done for jewelry for insurance. This was by far the best way to go! They do it in house every other week and it was so painless. They had my jewelry less than 24 hours, were knowledgeable and gave me lots of info when I asked. Highly recommend!

Bill and his family made my fiancé and I feel very comfortable and also well informed while we started our search for the perfect rings. We both came in not knowing a lot about looking for engagement rings and what the grading system really meant. Bill took his time with us and gave us a lot of different looks and explained the differences. He invested his time in us and made sure we knew what we wanted. Jump forward a few weeks, my now fiancé and I came in with my grandmothers engagement ring and Bill was right there ready to help us make it perfect. We couldn’t be more happy with our experience and how both my rings and my fiancé’s ring have turned out. Their communication throughout the COVID-19 craziness was fantastic and we can’t begin to thank them enough.

Angela was wonderful to work with. She helped me find the right setting for some diamonds I wanted to turn into earrings and created the most beautiful necklace that I will wear everyday. Best part was the items were appraised in house and getting them insured was simple and easy. I would recommend Smith & Bevill to anyone needing to purchase jewelry or have custom items created using older pieces.

Our experience was wonderful. Angela was awesome and did her best to get us the ring we wanted and could special order it the way we liked. She worked with our schedule. We went to other jewlers in town but none of them were made us feel like real people. I will sent all my friends and family to smith and Bevill. We give them 11 stars. God job guys!

I trust Smith and Bevil with everything! They’ve worked on an heirloom piece to make sure the band stays strong and the diamond prongs are doing their job. Most recently, they adjusted a one-of-a-kind artsy ring by welding in a silver piece to the inside of the band in order to make it fit better. We had a great conversation about options in order to minimize the risk of damaging the piece...and it turned out perfectly! They’re knowledgeable and personable, and I’ve always been pleasantly surprised by how fast things get done.

Just today I walked in and told them I’ d been bad and had nothing for our 35th anniversary. That was two hours ago and I’m now holding the perfect gift for my wife...The folks here truly care and expertly consult with their clients. They also source some of the most incredible and unique pieces of jewelry from around the world. Angela was fantastic! We stopped in and only had about 10 minutes to look at engagement rings, and within just a few minutes of asking questions Angela knew exactly what I wanted. My fiance and I purchased our wedding rings here and had a great experience. They have unique and beautiful designs not found at other big box jewelers. Gina and Angie were patient and knowledgeable. We loved supporting a local family owned business.

I just had a pendant made that incorporated gems from my mothers wedding ring and from the state I grew up in. Angela helped me design it and I was beyond tickled when it arrived as it was more beautiful than I imaged! This is the 3 rd piece of jewelry that they have helped me design in the last 18 yrs! They have one of a kind gems and the artisans that they use are top notch so your jewelry is masterfully done. Its family run and owned and they often tell the story of the stone of where it came from as they have working relationships with the mines or the artisan. They hands down beat any box store and I highly recommend Smith and Bevill for your jewelry needs!

I love that its family owned--they are dedicated to giving you a personalized experience and helping you find exactly what youre looking for within your budget and taste. Me and my fiance came in half an hour before close to pick out my engagement ring (shame on us, I know), and Angela was patient and enthusiastic the whole time. She brought out an array of beautiful rings that all spoke to me. When I was still on the fence, she brought out my dream ring I never knew I wanted. She was even kind enough to take a video of my fiance putting the ring on my finger. I left with my face hurting from smiling and some jewelry cleaner and insurance options to protect our investment. I couldnt be happier with my experience and decision, and well definitely be back for wedding rings!

I was just treated so rudely on the telephone by an employee of this store. I will never give this store my business under any circumstances. I was calling to inquire about Omega service without a warranty card, and the employee became extremely combative and short with me. Evasive on straightforward questions, and ultimately hanging up without saying goodbye. Ive never been treated this way or spoken to in this manner by a high end jewelry store. Utterly shocked.

I found the perfect ring at Smith & Bevill. Everyone at the store was very helpful and made it a great experience. My fiance loves the ring and has received a number of compliments about how unique it is. I had been to a number of ring stores in the area but Smith & Bevill is the best.

Smith and Bevill in Beaverton were very friendly, understanding, and found the perfect wedding band for my fiancé. They listened to his needs and were able to custom make his ring. The whole family is very friendly and are willing to go out there are way to provide great customer service!

Came here when I first was looking engagement rings to learn a few things about diamonds. I felt like prices were pretty high, but the service was great. I came in and let them know I was just getting started and they were happy to teach me a few things about jewelry and diamonds. They also were great salesmen, so if you know what you want, stick to your guns.

I worked with Angela to update a ring with a new gemstone. Angela was helpful, sincere, and shared options with me to create a new look for my ring. The entire family of jewelers are very genuine and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend them!

I went in because the link on my fiances necklace was broken. Before my visit, I didnt know that the necklaces were designed to break at a specific link so as not to sacrifice the whole necklace. The lady who helped me was super friendly and eager to teach me this tidbit and repaired the necklace free of charge. I will definitely be coming here for future purchases.

I first came to S&B to buy a Speedmaster, and keep coming because the staff is wonderful to talk to. The salesperson was extremely knowledgeable of watches, and was able to answer all of my questions.The second time I stopped by, I needed a black pearl necklace in 2 days. They helped me choose the pearl, chain, and setting for the pearl. They geeked out with me on the different pearls they had in stock, which was very fun. I love when people obviously love what they do, and are passionate about sharing that with me.I was then shown the owners private collection of timepieces, as well as their vintage inventory. It was probably the most enjoyable shopping experience Ive ever had. Ill be coming back for sure!

I took my Omega watch to this place to be repaired, after another jeweler had severely damaged it during a simple battery replacement (they literally used a hammer on it). Not only was everyone I dealt with courteous and friendly, they also got my watch repaired and looking like new (yay!) within the time frame and budget promised. I dont know why I didnt think of these guys in the first place and instead opted for one of those mall jewelers, but I wont be making that mistake again. Smith and Bevill is one of those hard-to-find family-owned business that provides the kind of customer service some of us remember, but few of us are able to find anymore. Ive definitely found my new jeweler. Highly recommended.
