All right . The atmosphere is nice and cozy. The Sevice was great . The sandwich was okay, not great as it should have been for $16. I dont like Rye so I asked for them to change it for Sourdough. The drinks were good you definitely taste the alcohol, not over bearing but just enough, they are small glasses. (Like 3 ounces total) . So to summarize... one sandwich with a side and two drinks and one coke, $41 before tip.

My husband and I came to Portland for the first time. We came across Golden Valley Brewery and Restaurant. Delicious food! We shared a fish and chips! The picture below is a half order! Huge pieces of fish and cooked to perfection! Tarter sauce is good too! Not a fan of the coleslaw… but I’m super picky… We ordered a Peach Cobbler Cocktail and it tastes just like peach cobbler! Little small but delicious! We also ordered the Strawberry Blonde Beergarita! Definitely a place to visit!

We had the baked Mac and cheese and the special that week a feta and artichoke ravioli dish. Both was sooo good, Very creamy. We also ordered the candied bacon it was pretty tasty too 🤤 also the beers are decent too over all a pretty safe bet youll find something you like. I would recommend

Great, great tap house and restaurant. Staff were super nice, draft selection was great, and easy location to get to.Inside and outside area, dog friendly, and they also have beer to go. The nachos were so good, cold mugs, and fun atmosphere. Cant wait to go to the actual brewery!

Really great pub food with locally raised beef from their ranch, a great selection of beers, and tasty cocktails. Their staff is super friendly and provide great service too. The outdoor dining area is covered and heated, so this was a perfect winter date spot. They are handling pandemic protocols with kind, professional, attitudes and thorough cleaning, mask wearing, distancing to keep patrons and staff as safe as possible. We highly recommend this establishment!

I ordered two of the Cobb Salads in July, this was my first time ordering from Golden Valley Brewery. Delivery was fast, and the salads were the best my friend and I have had. Thick, salty bacon, plenty of blue cheese crumbles, fresh avocado and thick slices of turkey- perfect!I ordered again two nights ago and again the salad was great.Ordered tonight, disappointing. I ordered and paid for a full size and received a half order. There was no bacon at all and the turkey looks like leftover lunch meat. Best of all, a hair in the salad.Clearly, the B staff is working tonight.

What an awesome place! We first came here for drinks and then came back to eat and we more than happy with the quality of food. Every time we go we order the nacho appetizer, I get the red thistle burger every time and I am never disappointed. The bacon here is cooked perfectly. The drinks are always good beer or cocktails, and we love that we can bring our dog who is always treated like a guest as well.

Absolutely loved the chicken pot pie. My partner loved the mac and cheese, but she replaced the bacon with chicken. Great food and great service with a lot of drink options

Golden Valley is amazing. Im pretty tough on my reviews since I like to hear good and bad of every spot, but GVB is just rock solid. Their food has been so delicious every time weve been that the first bite has always had impressed sounds and comments. They have great specials, great ambiance, really great servers and staff, and their in-house beers are actually very tasty unlike some other spots.If this place doesnt get 5 stars, then Id argue no one should.

Nice brewpub with good food and a wide variety of beers. If you are looking for a casual place to have a nice meal, this is a good choice. The beers were not bad and a couple were very good. I personally enjoyed the Geist Bock but thought the IPAs were a bit too subtle on flavor. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and make for a great experience.

The burger was AMAZING!! I got the burger of the week which had bbq smoked brisket ontop of a juicy farm fresh burger, subbed the smoked gouda for pepper jack cheese, and topped with pepper bacon and onion medallions. It was flawless. Juicy but not so much it fell apart or made a mess. It was thick, but not too thick to take a big bite. I got the chowder as the side which was also delicious. I had there marionberry and mint sangria with fresh blueberries which was strong, but very delicious.

Golden Valley was amazing and I highly recommend! My friend and I are new to the area and we found this place on google. Our waiter Derick was great and he even gave us a list of places to go see in the area! He gave us an overall great experience! Make sure to try there weekly burger special ;) definitely will be coming back!!

We went last night and the food was delicious! 5 stars. Funny story, we werent to this place when it first opened up, like 8 years ago (?) and back then the star rating would have been maybe a 2. Now, in fairness they had just opened. Back at that first visit, it was for my birthday and family came along. The chef on the steak back then couldnt get my steak to a medium well. (I know, crucify me rare steak snobs! Lol) but they had to bring it back a few times and the whole rest of the party - there for my birthday - was done eating after the second attempt. All good now! Last night they showed me that a second try is well worth the time & energy.

Great place, always consistent service and good menu options. Patio seating is perfect. Inside - try to avoid the booth next to the bathrooms due to the lingering urinal cakes smell - not the cakes you want to smell at your dinner table :) Also - would like a better selection of ciders on tap. Everything else was great.

My wife and I love this place. We’ve been maybe four or so times and we always get the Mac-n-cheese! I plan on getting it every time I come! Oh, and also, service has been good 😋

I ordered the Avocado B.L.T. The food 🔥 took a minute to arrive after we ordered. However they did have lot of ground to cover due to the restaurants Covid-19 safety precautions. They waiting staff placed the table groups as far apart as possible. When I got my food I immediately asked for ketchup w/my onion rings. However, the onion rings were so delicious I didnt use a drop of ketchup. As for my Avocado B.L.T I ate everything. I ended using my to go box as napkin bin. The food was spectacular. I also tried the restaurants strongest I.P.A. Its name is Bald Peak I.P.A. It paired well with my bacon tomato, avocado 🥑 🍅 sandwich 🥪. I ordered the Berry 🫐🍓 Cobbler w/Vanilla Bean 🍨 cream. I included a picture of what I have left of my dessert. Although remember I got my dessert to go and didnt eat when I returned home.

Great place when the sun is out. Love to sit in the patio outside and have the sampler. The 8 beer samplers come out in a great tray which by itself is an attraction. Not to mention theThe food is much better than a bar or a brewery food place. Love the nachos, pretzels and the onion rings. Of course you have a go at the main menu but most of the times we stick to the appetizers.Service is wonderful.... the waiters are attentive and do have a good conversation with you. The recommendations are spot on and the tone taken for the food to come to the table is reasonable.Overall I would highly recommend this place. We stay just a couple of miles away and come here often if we feel like a beer. Go check it out.

This place is amazing! The food is phenomenal, the designer cocktails are to die for and the ambiance is incredible. Excellent. We got some appetizers and a couple of entrees to share with three of us. Everything was so good.

Best steak outside of making it yourself from New Seasons or a hand picked farm. This would be double the price anywhere else. The rest of the food is also wonderful. So far I recommend the lemongrass Chicken cups and calamari.

So glad this place is open after the second shut down. Always a go to. Large indoor space and outdoor area with heat lamps. Great American fare and usually good service. Chicken pot pie was very flavorful and gravy just the right consistency. Fried chicken skin on the side was the cherry on top. Pumpkin pie was very tasty but the syrups honey undertones kind of took over the dessert. Wide variety of beers on tap. We always go here before any planned trip to the zoo.

I went there with my mom who is from out of town and we had an OK experience with a few hiccups. Our qualms were with the substitutions and additions that were listed on the menu. My mom asked for just the mixed greens for the salad (the salad came with hazelnuts, pickled onions and cranberries) that came with our entree and we had to ask for a correction three times and on the fourth return for the salad it still wasn’t correct. She decided to deal with the cranberries and move forward. For a note, the waiter didn’t take any notes with our order which was whatever; no judgment on how the waiter operates, but it missed the mark this time. She also asked for blue cheese crumbles with the entree which we also had to ask for after the entree was delivered. I didn’t ask for any subs so my food was ok, but I also don’t have any dietary restrictions.In all, I probably won’t come back. We paid over $100 prior to tip for two entrees and two beers and I feel like the food should be correct at least the second time you ask for a correction.It seems to be a good spot to eat, but our first experience will be our last, unfortunately.

This was our first time at Golden Valley, and it did not disappoint! Megan was our server of the night and she was fantastic, she checked up on us the perfect amount of times, when we first got seated right away and brought waters to the table, she also was very observant with our drinks and meal, she also stopped by to see how we were doing with our meal which was great! A manager Jackie also stopped by a couple of times to see how we were doing and asked how was the fresh catch of the day was, which was really nice of her to do so, because we were not really seated in a great center spot it was tucked in a corner which sometimes could get looked passed at some places. The food was also very good, I had the Fresh catch of the day which was a Dover Sole with sweet corn, poblano pepper and wild mushroom hash with Tomato Arbol Chile Sauce, Roasted Pear, Walnut Herb Salad, the sauce and the hash pulled the fish together very nicely, It was a very delicious meal and it was also presented really well. My Partner ordered the Meatloaf with Brown Gravy, Confit Fingerling Potatoes and Green Beans, the meatloaf as cooked perfectly it was still nice and juicy, the green beans still had a great crunch to them and the potatoes were nice and soft. We dont really order desserts at places but today we decided to give it a go and it was great, the marionberry sorbet was sweet and light, the strawberry and cream was also very good, they had also covered our dessert tonight which was really nice of them. I also had tried 2 of their beers there, the Home All Day Hazy IPA and the Chehalem Mountain IPA and they were both really light and very fruit forward, and very good! We already talked about going again soon!

We just swinging here for a few microbrews with old friends who caught up. The service was exceptional everyone seemed very friendly. The outdoor area was perfect for relaxing and quiet in terms of road noise. Great place overall although its in a strip mall which is always disappointing

I visited Golden Valley Brewery and Restaurant for the first time last night. The wait was nearly an hour to get a table for dining in the covered outside patios. Inside dining is not allowed at this time, due to pandemic response. To be fair about the wait - it was a Friday night. You are allowed to purchase adult beverages while you wait.When we were seated, we noted that our table was not near the ceiling mounted radiant heater - and was pretty chilly (being the tail end of January). A free-standing heater would definitely improve the experience for such tables. That gripe aside, the food and beer were fantastic! The 21-day aged ribeye steak was cooked perfectly, at medium-rare like I asked. The green beans and fingerling potatoes were also fantastic (& Im not generally a fan of potatoes)! My friends new york steak cooked medium was astonishingly perfect - with very little grey band and a wonderfully uniform pink throughout the steak. Neither steak was excessively fatty (& naturally, the new york cut was more lean).I only had one beer, the seasonal Tannen Bomb (heh), and it was one of the best craft beers Ive had in a year! 8% ABV, 40 IBU. I look forward to coming back and trying their sampler selection! My friends had more beer and cocktails, and they raved about the quality. Golden Valley Brewery and Restaurant is not an inexpensive option, but in my option it is worth every penny! Britney, our server, was friendly and attentive despite having to work the bar to serve drinks as well. All the staff I interacted with were polite and professional. Ill be recommending this place to family and friends - and Ill be back again as soon as I can manage!

This was the third and last attempt for the greatness that GVB promotes. Knowing that three people eating will be about $70.00 is a commitment. First visit we ordered the 🐟 fish and 🍟 fries, and drinks. The portions on one plate were enough for two hungry people however it was mostly fries, but the food was yum enough to order again.Second order, was home delivery and contained the worst fish and fries we had ever been served. The fish was a dried up chewy, mostly breading and oil. The fries were the majority of the food order and old... 🤔 additionally we had the cobbler, which was good, but not worth the $90.00 ticket price. Last night, we made our last attempt. The 🍔 burger meat was tasty and the chicken cesar salad was okay the sweet potatoe fries were burt and soppy and chewy 😬 conclusion, nothing special here even in the beer.The service was casual, the atmosphere was hopping, but the lack of quality food is why we will not be returning. Too many restaurants around here to waste money on a miss. 👎🏽

Service was excellent. The cocktail was ok. The dinner was uninspired and I would say barely mediocre. Everything seemed clean and the interior was pleasant. Unlikely I will return. I Certainly thought it expensive for the quality and quantity of food and drink.👎

This restaurant isnt bad at all. Theyre a bit more expensive food wise, but the quality is pretty good. Theyre beer is very good and their happy hour prices are pretty good, about $3.50 per glass. Friendly staff, nice ambiance, and a good location. We used their private room upstairs for a get together and it was very nice. They have a TV, speakers that have a volume control knob on the wall, and a good amount of room for 25-50 people. I wish you could give in-between ratings because Id really give it 4.4 stars.

I took my daughter there for lunch we had a Burger a beer in the soda. The Burger was so heavy with Greece that the bottom bun disintegrated. We were able to eat half of it. I ordered a seasonal salad to go for $7. The bill came to $51 gave $60 with tip.Maybe they have better food, the burgers were so big and greasy you cant eat them you needed 5 napkins to keep up with the grease. I stomached half a Burger.

Service was so great! Went for my boyfriends birthday and we will be returning! Food was so good! Try the chicken pot pie! And dont ever leave without a dessert! Worth the extra time in the gym.

We’ve been 3 times and so far each time we’ve received amazing customer service and delicious food. They are a little on the pricey side but the service and taste makes up for it. They have warm outdoor seating, are a local company and best of all their outdoor dinning is dog friendly. We will continue coming back. Thank you all for the great job!

This place evaded my radar for some reason. But when I looked at the menu and saw the oatmeal stout was served on nitro, I knew I had to try it. Wow what a surprise. The beer was phenomenal and the food was just as good. Definitely a must try for any tastes.

The food was wonderful. I had the Calamari yo start which was lightly breaded and came with spicy/sweet peppers. Mediterranean Chicken Sandwich with Truffle Aioli for the fries, and the Caramel Cookie as dessert. The experience was great. My server was very polite and attentive and all the food came out in a timely manner. I would highly suggest this place.

Excellent food quality, and friendly staff. I dig their ethos in farm to table. We have been here numerous times, and while the burgers taste like typical grill burgers and could easily go next level, their other dishes have been great. I still prefer Helvetia Tavern or Killer Burger for burgers.

No saur kraut on the Reuben. Onion rings soggy. Not your mom’s meatloaf was not as described, but cost the same amount. The fries that replaced the confit fingerling potatoes were rubbery, not crispy. The portions were big.

Went on a Tuesday at noon on the 2nd week in October. Good lunch crowd developed by the time I left. The only reason for the 4 stars is the high prices. The staff was awesome, the facility was clean and organized. My bartender was Steve and he was taking care of business. Steve was attentive as he multitasked with his manager and made drinks for the lunch crowd. I never had to wait or ask for anything he was paying attention. Golden valley is a bit corporate and pricy but the staff made up for the lack of personality in the business. The fish and chips were great but a bit greasy. A little draining on a paper towel would have helped a lot. The slow was missing something but most restaurants drop the ball on that. Tarter was good and the fries were perfect.

My first time at GVB. Had the veggie burger, soup of the day and onion rings. The burger was pretty good, the onion rings was awesome, and the soup (clam chowder) was very well made too. The staff was very friendly and the ambiance pretty good. Definitely a good place to hang out and eat.

One of our favorite places. They have their own farms for meat and produce. They make their own beer. The $6 six packs to go? Best beer deal in the state if you ask me.

Best thing about this place is the service. The outside patio is very nice, clean, and surprisingly quiet given the relative distance to major roads. Havent been super impressed with the food. Concepts are good...execution is a little lacking. Overall, good.

Went for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Good food, great service. Delicious bloody Marys, dont forget to ask them to add bacon! Their portions are huge and could be good for sharing. They have a good happy hour menu with yummy candied bacon. The kids chicken and fries is also a huge portion that my two kiddos shared. Nice covered patio outside.
