The customer service from Rich was courteous, friendly, and professional. He was able to give me a quick quote over the phone without any hassle and was able to beat out all local and chain stores on price as well as service time and schedule availability.He listened to my needs and was able to recommended the tires that for my driving and budget needs. He was also able to bundle price an oil change and alignment to take care of me during a single drop off.He originally estimated that the job would require the car to stay overnight and it would be ready the next day at noon. Either I was lucky or the Point S team was going above and beyond to get my car back to me as they called and let me know they could get it done before end of business day. When I got rolled up they had all 4 bays double booked, yet they still came through and got it done on the same day.I highly recommend these guys and as always, as a consumer, do your research to get the best price as it never hurts to ask for a better price. Professional customer service should always be top notch no matter what budget, car or needs you have. With all these things in mind, this business and Rich were on top of their game.

I had a great experience the first time I took a car in. They were friendly and communicated about everything going on. I brought my car to Good Neighbor Tire for tire rotation. Although the tire rotation is covered under the warranty, the shop provided an overall inspection of my car at no additional charge! My vehicle is still under warranty so most problems are covered at this time, but I would definitely return here and try their service. Service Advisor Alan Croft is welcoming and extremely professional in his customer interactions. I enjoyed the small size of the shop and would prefer utilizing a service center like this as opposed to the dealership. The reason for the 4 star rating is because an 1 1/4 hour after I dropped off my vehicle (and I had an appointment), the service had not been started. I had to reschedule the service and bring it back the next day.

This company helped my wife out when she had a flat tire. Decided to take our car into their shop as it needed new tires. Ended up getting some more urgent work done. They had a very positive attitude and I would go back again with other vehicles. They offer a very good selection of services.

We all know there are many shops that do various types of vehicle work. It is rare to find one that does most everything. I took my older vehicle in for a complete and thorough evaluation. During my consolation, the store manager James and I discussed the areas that I wanted addressed. He was patient, understanding and even made some recommendations that saved me some money. In the end, a work order was written up, and the work was carried out. Accommodations for transportation were even made during the service period. When the work was completes, a detail explanation of work performed was explained to me by the technician. I will definitely return here for any future needs. My thanks to the entire team at Good Neighbor Tire. Although I have only mentioned James in this review, it takes more than just one person. My thanks also goes out to Allen (Front Desk, Thomas (Technician), and Eric (Front Desk, which is all of who most of my interaction was with. On another note; I am capable of doing some mechanical work myself, but it is nice to have a Good Neighbor too.

Just got done with my first visit in and the service was 10/10! The communication, friendliness and trustworthiness were all there. Im skeptical about taking my car in to places because I feel like I always have to fight with the sales guys about upselling me, but these guys were up front and honest about what needed to be done, and the cost. I even overheard them talking with other customers about what might be recommended but not needed right now. Definitely recommend!

These guys are awesome. Honest mechanics are hard to find and when I first moved to Portland and began having car problems I took my car here because I was originally going to a Point S tire location in Tacoma. My mother was extremely skeptical of the repairs that needed to be done on my failing vehicle and insisted our family mechanic check out the car. He confirmed everything they listed (on 2 separate occasions, for 2 separate issues). Needles to say Ive been super happy with all of their work and they are always so friendly and fair priced considering the wide range of vehicle repair costs.

Visited for some suspension issues. Great service, quality work and quick turnaround. I really appreciate all of the communication and diagnostic report with pictures. It really took out the guess work you usually have if you cant be there to see things first hand. Had the brakes and several other small things done as well. Couldnt be happier and will definitely return for any future needs.

My Audi blew its rack and pinion steering, on the Friday of the 4th of July weekend, close to there closing time. They were able to get my car on a lift and determine the part was not a blown hose. They had the car fixed mid week for me because of the special order for the part. Great guys at the shop and I will bring my car there again.

Point S sent me a coupon for a $23 oil change. I made an appointment and arrived at their store. They asked me to authorize the work electronically, for $64. I informed the clerk I had a coupon and he said it was fine and they would get it when they were done.The oil change service included a thorough safety check. During the check they found over $1000 in needed work, including $320 to change four plugs. I declined the work, and they informed me that my oil change would be $55. I asked what happened to my $23 coupon and they reminded me that I had authorized the work, gave me some nonsense about extra charges and said they had no intention of lowering the price.I had been prepared for the bait and switch, but their nakedly reaching into my pocket and taking my money on a lie surprised me.

I had the pleasure of being helped out by Alan. He had great customer service. Loved the transparency of the diagnostics (included photos and detailed description) and accurate time turnaround, they said it would take an hour and a half to complete the services and they had it ready right on time. They made great recommendations for maintenance I could do myself and didn’t push the sale of unnecessary replacements. If you are looking for an experienced local automotive service center with great customer service and auto maintenance acumen, then Point S is the place to go!

I am very impressed with both the customer service and the auto repairs done to my Civic today at Good Neighbor Tire Point S in Beaverton. My service advisor Steve did an outstanding job in all aspects of communication and overall customer service. He was able to get me an immediate appointment, was great about communicating with me through out the day and answered all of my questions in a patient and kind manner. The front brakes and rotors were replaced as well as the engine and cabin filters. All information I was given was in a clear and accurate format. I would absolutely recommend this business to others that are looking for auto service. They were professional and honest in their work and excelled in all areas. I gave them a 3-star rating because I was told my car would be done by noon which I needed to have to go to the dentist by 1 but when I called them they told me that it might be some more service work I should have done to my car was not ready at noon I got to just about 15 minutes before I had to go to the dentist and so that was frustrating so if they would have just did what I asked him to do and they agreed to and have my car done by noon I would have gave them a better rating

Very professional. They do great job of prompt communicating with you during the service if needed.Good follow up. The mechanics know their craft and do awesome communication back to the service advisors. Good Year charge cards may still be used here for payment. A big plus and most convenient.

Three hours later than they said but didnt mind to much that particular day. Alan, I think, was very nice, very professional, and even took a few bucks off the bill. I give em a solid 8. Also very honest about the repairs I needed !!

My Accord is now old enough to drink and was long overdue for a service. This is my second time bringing it to Good Neighbor. Quick, friendly, thorough service, no hidden charges or extras, and the communication is great. Trustworthy shop, highly recommended.

Went in to the shop across the street (Accurate Auto) for fluid changes and an axle replacement after a cross country roadtrip. They were unable to repair my tires at the time, brought it across the street to Goodneighbor auto for the tires. They immediately noticed all the cracked bushing housings and that my tires were irreparable. Accurate auto didnt even mention these items. Give yourself some peace of mind and dont go here, just go to Goodneighbor tire across the street.

This was a very shady experience. I wanted an oil change. They called and said I needed a cooling fluid exchange right away as well as upper and lower radiator hoses. Also front and rear differential and transfer case fluids. I had limited funds and said let’s do the coolant for sure and the differential also the transfer case. I told them to hold off on the radiator hoses. He quoted $498. He called back in a short time and said he made an error and it was going to be $730. I gave him the go ahead. In 10 min time I reconsidered, called and said just do cooling and oil. He said, it’s too late we can’t stop now the diff and transfer cases are already drained.So a few hours later I pick up the truck. It’s $730 but the cooling is not addressed at all. The number one problem he called me for and told me must be done and they just ignored it.It gets better. I stop by Jiffy Lube on my way home. They look up my records and tell me they changed my differential and transfer cases 5000 miles ago and they did NOT need servicing . I went here to use a mailer coupon for a oil change for $50. Never again. Do NOT TRUST these folks for a second.

Friends dont let friends go to Good Neighbor Tire; they are utterly untrustworthy. I went to have tires rotated and they told me they couldnt do so because the tires were over 5 years old (thats not a thing) and had severe weather cracking (they clearly did not). I left and got a second opinion which confirmed my assessment that they had flat out lied to me across the board. My tires likely still have years of wear left in them.

Brought in my Nissan Altima to get the AC fixed. Eric and the team had my car diagnosed and replaced the AC compressor all in one day. Eric even helped me save some money. Really honest and transparent throughout the whole process. Highly recommend!

My check engine light was on. The whole experience was easy. The mechanic and service stayed an hour after closing to finish the repairs. They sent me an estimate by text before performing the work. Great people work here.

Tom and everyone at Good Neighbor Tire was extremely kind and helpful! They followed through when they said they would check on something, they offered tire options in my price range, and they made sure to explain the issues and how they planned to solve them. I ended up having to get more work done than I thought I would have to, but they send a detailed report of your car and then Tom called to explained the necessity for each and how they would ensure my safety. They were open and truthful throughout the whole process which made me feel comfortable and at ease!

Came in with a nail in my tire, hoping for a patch, but prepared to replace the entire tire. They were able to remove the nail and determined that it did not actually puncture all the way through the tire. They did this as well as a vehicle inspection at no cost, even though they were well within their right to charge for their services. Thank you to Eric and Chandler for taking care of me. Definitely trust them with any future needs.

I recently took my 2018 GMC Sierra to Good Neighbor for a 4” lift and new wheels and tries. I worked with both Jayson and James as they helped me determine the best fit for my vehicle and my needs. They were both very knowledgeable and provided me with a ton of insight to help inform my decision. Throughout the entire process they were respectful, communicative, and timely. Brandon did the majority of the work and I couldn’t be happier with the result. I had a great experience working with them and I would recommend them for any service they provide without hesitation.

Went in planning on getting the air compressor replaced but they were able to find a leaky valve on top of the compressor, fixed that, re-pressured the system, and now it is good to go. They took their time with the repair and did a great job. This is the second time I have been in for a significant repair and I will likely be back. They are honest and thorough.

Came in with an ABS system Failure and additional repair cost up to $4k+. Originally went to Toyota but Point S has always been good to us. Went in for a second opinion and they gave us a better diagnosis then toyota and actually explain what needed to be done with picture and everything. They never make you get any services and let you decide what repairs you want to get. You wont be pressured and have additional finance options with no credit check, base on income . We paid in full but its nice to know they offer those services. We will get additional tires threw them later on. Thank you.

I got a coupon in the mail for $49.95 for an oil change. I had never been to point S so I thought I would try them out. I made an appt. When I got there the guy tried to bill me $71.95. He asked me to sign the work order and I told him I would sign it when it said $49.95. That I thought $71.95 was expensive. He instantly got rude! No 0 to 60 Just 60!! He stated that this was the cheapest I would find an oil change anywhere. Well fun fact. this is my car and I know how much I pay for oil changes. He does not. After that I though about just collecting my keys and leaving. I stayed. Bad move... When I was waiting for my car I could over here them talking about how many sales they had made the day before and how much people had paid for their repairs! SCAMMERS! He then came out with a laundry list of things I needed to do to my car. Told me My battery tested bad. (I just replaced it a year ago.) Tried to tell me I needed to replace my tie rods at the tune of over $900.00! Wanted $71.00 to pressure test my car for the coolant leak I am having. They wanted 150.00 to replace my new battery! They did not even check the one thing I asked them to check. My rear differential... They wanted $1375.00 For all those repairs! I took my car to two other places. I knew I needed to replace my tie rods. I knew I was having a coolant leak. but they tried to shaft me! There is nothing wrong with my battery. I have a shop that is replacing my tie rods, fixing my rear differential, fixing my coolant leak and balancing my tires for under $600.00!! I called today to see if I could at least get an apology for the way I was treated when I first came in. Well what do you know! I was treated rudely again!! I was told I was the rudest person that this guy (same one from my visit) had seen all week and they could charge whatever they wanted. He told me that the real mgr. would not want to speak to me... He said he was the assistant mgr. I would think that if the mgr. knew how this guy was treating the new customers that he would want to speak to me. They also would have not gotten this review if he would have just said he was sorry for they way I the customer that pays his wages was treated. My family owns a huge business here in Portland. It was founded in 1948. If we had treated people the way he did that business would not be standing today. I will never go here again and I will tell everyone never to go here. At least I did not let them take advantage of me. I feel sorry for all the other people that have been...

Im very thankful for the professionalism and quality service provided by James Evans and the entire team at the Good Neighbor Tire - Beaverton Point S.They took care of my vehicle as if it was their own and always suggested any needed service but didnt hassel me about doing it right now. Appointment time was not honored, wheel alignment was done, but not requested, but the service manager adjusted the price. I have been very happy with Good Neighbor Tire in the past and have been a long time customer. However, since they became part of Point S, their service had really deteriorated, their tire selection seems more limited, and I get endlessly spammed by Point S. I will not be back.

Came to make wheel alignment. They did, and the car was pulling to the left and pulling. What they did remained a mystery!

Exceptional service! Came in for a tire repair after running over a nut: the folks on the phone were friendly and told me to come in any time, and my experience at the service station was top notch. Quick, friendly, and they have a great customer-facing system that allows you to see photos of what was done/found along with recommendations. Ive come across many dishonest mechanics over the years, these folks are completely transparent and very easy to work with. Great covid precautions too-- would absolutely recommend.

If you’re looking for a place with an honest staff, fair pricing, and a “kill them with kindness” attitude, this is where you want to be.My car broke down and my engine burned out, and it was going to cost me around $9,000 to repair. James made this stressful situation much easier for me, doing his best to find a good combination of low price and low mileage on a new engine for me. He also helped me determine that my engine burned out because of a mistake my previous mechanic made. As someone who knows nothing about cars, he explained everything very clearly and in a way I could understand easily.The people who work here will put you as a customer before themselves, and will go far above and beyond to help you and make your life easier. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

I called ahead to see if they had time for an oil change, they told me they have an appointment spot for 1pm. I showed up at 1pm and my vehicle did not move from the parking spot until 1:40pm. The service was completed by 2:20pm, almost 1.5 hours for an oil change. I made an appointment to avoid long wait times. I would have appreciated an updated during the waiting process. Poor communication. Will not be returning

When I went in I was told that I would not be charged for diagnostics as I had just bought a new car and wanted to find out what kind if repairs it may need. It took 3 times longer than I was quoted for said diagnostics and was charged over 70 dollars for those diagnostics. They left the car running to keep my ABS light from turning on again. It was not on when I brought the car in but they finally got it to shut off after several unconventional attempts to clear it. And then when they brought my car out they locked the keys in my running car.And this was attempt by me to give them a second chance after they had made several mistakes while striving my previous vehicles including breaking my hub cap and trying to slide it past me leading to it falling off as I pulled out of their driveway. After I protested they did replace my hubcaps so I thought they had earned another shot. NEVER AGAIN.

Beaverton Point S. team do great work. What I love most is their honesty. I had a big repair needed & instead of taking my money they recommended I trade the car in as the expense wouldn’t be worth it for the overall value of the car.

I put my trust in this place to do a decent job at a fair price. That was a huge huge mistake! I wish I had read the reviews before I took my car here. They are great at the smiling friendly act while they are figuring out how much they can cheat you out of - that is one thing they are good at! They even told me they were going to charge me an extra daily rack fee to have my car there in the shop while they had to wait on the needed parts to arrive. This was after they took my wheels/struts off and had it up on the rack. Then, when I went to pick up my car it was not even ready by the time it was promised, and I had to wait an additional 40 minutes, which didnt seem to matter to them about my time! 3 days of them having my car and a $1,000, and my car still didnt feel like it was fixed properly. I was going to take it back and complain, but I figured if they cant get it right the first time, they really arent very capable - or care. So, I wrote it off as an expensive mistake. I DO NOT recommended this place for ANY work to be done on your car!! Shysters! They should feel ashamed of themselves.

This place is great, it was my first time going here and I will continue to use them! I came here to get a brand new set of tires and thats all I expected but they ended up doing a free full diagnostic of my car as well which brought to light some minor things Ill need to get done in the future. With the inspection they took pictures of everything and made accompanying notes which I liked. They were very honest, I didnt feel as if I was being talked into buying anything I did not need and I really appreciate that. I feel I got a good value on my tires and the fact that for the life of my tires Ill get free rotations and flat repairs, that I really like! Service was fast and very time punctual as well. Highly recommend this place.

The reason why we pay for a diagnostic test is for them to find out what is wrong with the issue you brought the car in for. My case was heating issue. They used diagnostic test and then called me said the coolant must be flushed. I asked if they are sure thats going to fix the issue the guy on the phone said yes the technician is pretty sure thats the issue. I said ok lets do it. Then I get called again they said well looks like its the heather core. And quote to fix that is $2300. I mean don’t tell me the technician is pretty sure that will fix it and then make me pay for it. I was told it will be $165 and then manager try to charge me $280. Total was suppose to be $135 +165 = $300. He told total would be like $468. At the end i still got overcharged to $323. The $23 was shop supplies(whatever that is). But they didn’t change anything. So just watch out its a lot of talk to make it seem like they are doing it to help you but its all added to the total you pay. Never going there again and will never recommend them.

My wife and I have been coming here for a while now, for oil changes and some repairs on our cars. Let me tell you, these guys are very professional and very personable.even when I don’t have common knowledge about cars and their parts, they are more than welcomed to explain things, keeping me up to par with my vehicle. I very much appreciated their complete overall inspection with every service. Not only did they find a transmission leak from a recent rebuild from another facility, which was very critical to know about, due to a limited warranty on the workmanship, they ensured to include photos so that there was documentation of everything. They even completed an external dye test to confirm that the leak was truly coming from the CVT. Had they not done this, I could have had huge ramifications in the very near future. It turned out that the CVT housing was damaged and the Torque Converter Seal was faulty from the other party who had previously rebuilt my transmission. The problem was ultimately resolved and fixed as it should have been. Thank you so much for preventing a disaster! You guys are the best! Keep up the good work.

My problem with this locations is that they are more expensive than EVERYONE for the same tire and service. I decided to buy local, and thought the were reputable. I bought 2 front tires for my car and then find out that night that the same tires were $50 cheaper on the MANUFACTURES web site. I then google the price and find out every other tire dealer has them for that lower price.I go back to the store and they would NOT match the price. I hope they enjoy my $50 because I can know it will cost them 1O0 x that amount in sales. Not only from me but my co workers. I have worked in Beaverton for 15 years, and deal with the public daily. I will make sure everyone knows they are by far not the best place to buy tires. Thank you opening my eyes to how not to do business.

I had a run-flat tire that seemed to be loosing pressure. Took it in and the team found two nails and a rock that were causing the problem. 2007 Audi A4 Quattro, left the retaining nut in the wrong position leaving Tie Rod loose on both sides, additionally the alignment was redone next day at a reputable alignment shop and the results showed that they left the car out of spec. I followed up with a phone call, and sent them an email per their request with the pics that Ive attached here on this review. I wouldnt go back to them to let them touch my car, to make a mistake on an alignment is one thing but to leave the retaining screw (look at pics) on the tie rod fully open is simply negligent and dangerous. This is Mechanic 101, Tie Rods are the same Engineering Design across the board with almost all vehicles. Because this was done on both sides this way, I have to believe that this was intentional or the tech working it was completely unqualified/irresponsible. I got no follow up and am not willing to chase them around, I called them to give them an opportunity to make it right on any level and they did not. I believe that they could honestly care less. Too bad, because I bought tires the next day from Discount Tires (235/40/18) for $800 that they could have gotten but their lack of follow up and care / consideration deservingly had me take my business elsewhere. I CAUTION ANYONE WITH ANY MAKE AND MODEL TO READ MY REVIEW AND LOOK AT MY PICS, you have been warned

Great, friendly service. Fixed our flat in no time.... flat. By that I mean they sold us some nice new tires at a decent price and did an oil change, set us up real nice. Cannot recommend these guys enough!

Super trustworthy, friendly & down to earth. I got a screw stuck in my tire. Went to Les Shwab, they told me they’d need to replace all 4 tires and it would be $1200. I got back in my car and went to Point S. and they actually took the tore off and evaluated the situation and realized quickly how small the screw was and were able to patch it up no problem. It’s very disheartening as a woman to be taken advantage of in this industry at time but I wasn’t at all taken advantage of at Point S and definitely recommend them!

Awesome place to take your car. They went above and beyond relating to service, got all the work done in the time that I needed it and their customer service was above and beyond. Any additional work that needed to be done, they ran it by me, let me know the prices and time frame it would take.Ive been to multiple car shops, Good Neighbor Tire in Beaverton provided the best service and work I could have asked for.

Good customer service for the most part BUT they try and go thru everything and tell you its bad, annoying, even tho I know what they were seeing and was wrong.

The customer service was excellent! James assisted me with my auto needs, and him and the team did a great job. He was friendly, personable, and went above and beyond to assist me with a personal matter (printing documents; everything is closed from COVID) even staying late to ensure the job was finished. I would highly recommend their service over their competitors anyday!
