After being with this company for 60 years we have chosen to pursue a new HVAC company. When getting a quote to transfer our oil tank to gas we encountered a high pressure sales agent. The agent neglected to mention important to-dos before installation that would have snowballed after installment. He pushed product and didnt answer our questions to entirety; where as other estimates were transparent and informative. When addressing our concerns with the office staff, oil department and manager we were completely dismissed.

I highly recommend this company. Daniel was extremely professional and cared about making sure my thermostat was in proper working condition before he left.

Super impressed. First contractor ever to show up early, on a Friday afternoon of a Holiday weekend. Quickly and easily diagnosed the problem, had a supply of the right parts in the van and installed quickly. Very knowledgeable, giving me a quick tutorial on my system beyond what I already understood to put my mind at ease, even running some additional diagnostics just to make sure. No attempts at up sale or over sale, which I hugely appreciate, especially after previous experience with other companies. Super friendly, and even found we had a mutual friend. Each person I spoke with from start to end (yeah for working AC), was so friendly youd think we were family. Always was comfortable with the Tech in my home coming in and out as needed . Nick was great and knowledgeable as well as not too pushy for upgrades or anything. We had our central air repaired for the same cost weve purchased a window unit in the past! I am one happy customer!

Technician Harvey was excellent. Professional, and informative . Great communication- sent emails and texts about when he was coming . Have been customers since 2007 and they all have been great. We’ve had issues with air compressor and wiring only 2 times. About 2 days for someone to come out for service call but it’s been during hot days so they’re super busy. Appreciate the phone service folks who are patient and helpful over the phone to try and help you troubleshoot first.

Ive been with them for more than a decade. Consistently great service. Ive one issue in that time, they quickly resolved. Highly recommend.

My guy Harvey was the best his personality and professionalism was second to none and his knowledge of his job was impressive, he sjould be in a class room teaching young men this trade. He worked on our a/c unit aside it was his own and I appreciate that they dont make them like him no more im from the old school ways of doing things and like I said I appreciate how he conducts business.

I had them come out on a service call to take care of a burning smell. That was just dust inside that needed to be burned off. But they did find a capacitor that went bad and needed to be replaced. It works a lot better now.

On the first day of warm weather, our 20 year old A/C unit died. As the refrigerant is no longer available, the unit had to be replaced. On the appointed day, Joe G. and Jason S. arrived with the new unit. Despite a challenging install environment (50 years of furniture and clothing still waiting to go to Good Will), they completed the install on time and in good spirits. First Call is indeed our first call.

Our air conditioner broke down the first day of a minor heat way. I was able to get our masterful tech Nick was able to quickly diagnose and repair the air conditioner. Had problems with our a/c of course the first real warm weather that we had this year, I called Clint and he got Harvey out within a few hours and we had to run to the closet and get sweaters before Harveys truck even left the driveway. As always, we are very happy with our service.

First Call was able to quickly come out to the house and repair our AC. Nick was very professional and even offered to clean out our coils when he noticed they were getting dirty and hosed out our air filters while he was there, all as a courtesy. Were glad to have First Temp as our go to!

I have had a contract with your company since I bought the house 3-1/2 years ago. Except for 1 time, I have had Harvey every time to service my heat pump. Awesome service

Annual service on new system (one year old). Not really sure we needed it except for peace of mind. We may forgo it next year since there is a five year warranty on the system. Only complaint/observation is the technician should bring booties to cover their shoes in the home. Other than that, we would recommend First Call.

They were able to come right out. The technician, Ron, arrived when he said he would, got right to work, kept me informed of his progress, and left the area clean & orderly.The cost was as quoted; and, most importantly, the furnace is working perfectly again.

Very knowledgeable and very helpful with showing me the workings of the furnace and how to replace the filters. Helped with opening the ducts a little more to warm up some of the rooms in the house that were cold. Always a joy to work with them.

The repairman (Robert) was punctual, efficient, and explained to me (in terms I could understand) what the problem was, what he did to fix it, and what he recommended I should consider for the future. He did not try to sell me anything and he did the repair without replacing any parts. He just fixed it.

My A/C stopped working last night after two days of triple-digit heat. Today wasn’t much better. My unit had become overrun with blackberry bushes and Harvey helped me clear them. After 10 minutes and a quick change to a broken capacitor, he had my air conditioning up and running again. He did a great job and went the extra mile.

In the process of a kitchen remodel, a faulty PGE equipment failure caused a high voltage burnout of my gas furnace. My remodeling companys HVAC sub tried and failed to get my furnace up and running and told me it had to be replaced and gave me a quote for a new furnace for $5,800. I saw that Cost Plus was one of the approved vendors of new high efficiency furnaces qualifying for a rebate, so I called Steve and he came out the same day after 5pm. Basically, he took one close look at my furnace and asked me why hadnt the previous sub been able to repair it. He gave me tons of useful information about the purchase of a new furnace but kept coming back to the idea of a possible repair for my furnace. I eventually agreed he should try to repair it, handed him the keys to my house and left for my dinner engagement and when I came home I had heat and a written explanation of his work and what I needed to do to keep it operating properly during my remodel (uncover and protect the intake air vents). Instead of selling me a new furnace which I was pretty intent on accomplishing, he repaired my furnace! Instead of spending thousands of dollars I had a repair bill of $240!!! Steve was incredibly knowledgeable, an excellent communicator of technical information and a skilled repair person--oh, and obviously very honest with high integrity. I cant recommend him enough!
