I just needed to do a quick update as I was traveling and the store employees were friendly and helpful and let me just hang out why the update downloaded and installed.
Called store to make sure they had the phone my son wanted in stock. Was told yes, let her know we would need to drive 45 mins to get to the store and was she sure. Yes we have like 50 in stock. Got to store and was told they couldnt sell it to me unless I bought it online first then had it told to pick up at store. Then another employee came over and jumped and let me know its not possible for someone to just walk in and hand them $900 and walk out with a phone. This store and these people. Reminded my son why I only by Samsung.
I came to that apple store for help because my iPhone was not charging (or barely charging, independently of the cord used). . They took the phone inside to clean the port. In couple of minutes the representative came back, said they cleaned it. It was still not charging. They said then that the connection is loose an that I will have to either live with it or get a replacement phone. I came back home and cleaned the charging port myself following the advice from YouTube. The phone started charging immediately, with any cord, and with no problems. It still has no problems since then. I do not think Apple store representative cleaned the charging port at all, probably just wanted me to spend money on a replacement phone.
Very helpful. Helped me solve an issue at no charge. So helpful and refreshing customer service. Give them a raise
I made an appointment and got right in on time to see a technician to help with phone trouble. Jake was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the products but also very kind and personable. I was dreading the appointment but I left very pleased with the whole experience
The salespeople are very friendly and helpful. I had a trade in issue and they resolved the issue in a timely manner!!
Chris was very sociable, friendly, and helpful. He was able to resolve both my issue and the issue of another customer concurrently.
This Apple store has very bad service ! ! ! Their employees have no patience at all ! ! !Also, they are so rude for customers ! ! !I don’t know that how their boss found those people work there. So stupid. Apple products are not cheap things, so workers have to do what they must do it. Go study how to serve and respect customer.
We hadn’t been in an Apple Store for a few years so didn’t know you had to have an appointment but they were able to squeeze us in to replace a broken AirPod. Excellent customer service at this location and a lot of employees to help.
All the products are available knowledgable staff. Nice service.
Both of the employees that helped me out were super sweet. I went in on Sunday trying to figure out what was wrong with my iPhone and I ended up just buying a new one. It was bought outright and I was told by the lady who helped me that day that I’d get a $130 trade in value even if I had a crack in my phone (just one crack). I went back in today to return my old phone and the man that helped me told me I would only receive $33. I appreciate their help but I really would like the $130 especially since that was what I was told.
I love this place. The customer service is excellent. They do what they can to help you. I just hate the pricing lol, so expensive but well worth it. Also the AppleCare is amazing.
Good decently managed store, but a bit understaffed. Staff are friendly and are the quality you’d expect, there’s just not enough of them.
Fine but they could have warned me about low stock and saved me a few hours driving around and sitting at the mall.
Went to look at watches, there were what seemed 30 employees working, however only one was working watches. Meanwhile the other employees just hung out and watched me look at watches while she was helping 2 other people. So I just walked out. I’ll get it online instead. That’s the dumbest customer service I’ve seen.
Too far to travel. Theres no apple store in dayton area
Always the best customer service at apple stores. Also my lady was extremely knowledgeable and quick. I was in and out. Thank you apple for always being great! Apple over the phone is nothing compared to in person.
Always good customer service, very nice employees
This store is something else! man if your in a hurry don’t be! They don’t get a hurry for nothing! which I guess can be considered a good thing but I scheduled an appointment 3 days in advance. Well believe me don’t get there early or you gonna have to wait! be there on time or later because they won’tsee you early what so ever! Then after you get checked in and pass all the security manpower! you’ll go into the store and stand on a blue line. waiting for someone to eventually attempt to help you! Now, I went there to have a broken screen fixed for my sons phone thats still under contract thru Verizon. Well, youd better bring a Verification that your the owner of device or they won’t help you. My sons phoneWas completely shattered couldn’tsee anything and I wasn’t sure of all his password believe me he wasn’t sure of them either!! Lol anyways, I had to leave the store and my appointment, drive all the way back to Xenia and dig up all my receipt, I’d gotten from the place I’d made the purchase! I had to set up another appointment! go back thru the screening process to be seen! stand on blue line! explain my dilemma again and go back thru my choices. Finally, after all that, since there was a slight crack on back side of phone, it was decided to just have the phone replaced for double the amount, I was expecting because apple care wasn’t added at the time of purchase like Id asked! so the repair was all on me. Now a plus is foundOut a lil too late but better late then never was that now I was given the chance to add apple care 6 months after purchase! as long as I paid for the phone to be in purchase condition, which I did! Just make sure you bring all verification of ownership, all password, Apple ID, Receipts, contracts and even a pint of blood might help! lol to make the process bearable!! Plz take everything with you! so you don’t have to get turned away for the smallest/slightest infraction they can come up with! Unless you have time to throw away onPettiness. Which I’m sure most of us don’t! Other then all that. service was good and I got his phone taken care of! He was happy! so I was happy! 😃 thank you, for taking the time to read my review hopefully it can be helpful to someone at sometime!! Have a blessed day you are special!!!!
You can’t just go inside the Apple store and make a purchase without having an appointment. That hinders the on the go person, who is looking to stop at the store on the whimmake a purchase and leave.
Lowkey I forget if his name was Travis of Trevor but we was a tech specialist and and artist and overall very helpful and delightful man. Helped me get the tech support for my broken laptop! Carry on dude :)
I guess Im not surprised to be writing another bad review about this store and Apple based on the other reviews. Also, would give no stars if possible. I tried to make an appointment online to help my mom get her phone upgraded and set up in store and the reservation feature is not working. I called Apple Support, waited 20 minutes on the phone to speak with someone, spoke to a rep for 10 minutes who said the website didnt seem to be working and she nicely offered to transfer me directly to the store to speak with someone. Waited on the line for another 2-3 minutes and then was hung up on. This all after I spent another 30+ minutes online and on the phone trying to speak to any human at apple. At this point, an Android looks pretty good...
Took over 2 hrs 2 get a new phone.
Excellent service here.
Fixed my phone in 20 minutes.Good service
Had appt got the info that was needed for problem with iPad
Love this Apple store. My go to place for help with my Apple products.
Im leaving a review here because I cant Leave one on Apples website My wife bought me a phone And paid for Apple care without the phone being activated The phone was accidentally thrown away now because the phone was never activated they wont Honor the Apple care And replace the phone. We were switching over from Samsung but now I will just get another Samsung phone. Thank you forstealing my money Apple
Nice people and very helpful
Great help with a couple of geniuses!
Great experience l.
Absolutely the worst customer service via phone Ive ever seen. I have been on hold for 15 minutes without an answer. They took in two MacBook Pros to be fixed, and returned them without fixing them and without telling us they werent fixed. They literally said: here you go and gave us the MacBooks. When we got home we found that neither was fixed, just a note saying memory failure Id give them ZERO stars if that was an option.
Super kind employees and I had spectacular help!
The whole appointment system is very annoying if you dont have an apple id and password but it is very Covid safe and makes things go so much more quickly. They arent offering all services right now either (no data transfer). Employees are nice and very helpful. However, when I picked up my sons new phone, I didnt realize I needed them to switch the sim card so I had to make another appointment and go back which wasnt great.
I’d give them no stars if I could!! I came a week ago to clear my iPad and get it restarted and they told I had to make an appointment, so I made an appointment with the gentleman that was standing outside, the appointment was made for 1:50 p.m. on the 30th of November the man told me I could come in slightly earlier if I wanted to. A week passes and I show up at 1:42 p.m. and the security officer told them I was there and they told him to tell me that I was to late for the appointment and they canceled it and told me I would have to make another appointment!!! I will absolutely never be coming back to this place again!! The system they have going on is total BS!!
Love going there every time except during the COVID-19 stuff their not doing in store shopping which sucks but I understand
Very helpful and friendly!
Excellent service!
Simply unhelpful staff. Love Apple products and have generally had positive experiences, but visiting this store is always an unfortunate time. Dismissive, rigid, and just bad vibes.
Had a great experience with them. Placed an order for my phone online the night before and set a pickup window for the next day. When I arrived my temp was taken then immediately brought inside. Within 5 minutes I had the phone in my hand! Staff was very friendly. Masks are mandatory as of now but if you don’t have one, one will be provided.
Use to be a good store but like many places get confused and mess after covid time, i am trying to get an appointment for 3 days but i can not, the website doesn’t work right and when work constantly show no time available!!!! phone call same way... online order more mess.... apple really losing the part
I am Interested to by an Apple Watch and some Beats audio headphones do I went in this Apple store to have a look... it’s a small store and crowded when I visited it but they have a good variety of Apple products and pretty professional and kind service... they are expensive but it’s Apple... so I didn’t expected to be differently... anyway I was happy withy purchases and everything was easy and enjoyable...
Make a reservation, strict covid-19 protocol was appreciated. Very helpful salesperson.
Went to the Apple store .its by appointment only right now. And of course, u have to wear a mask. Love this Apple store. Everyone is so nice & helpful. No doubt they get a lot of technically challenged peeps like me
Worst apple store experience, went in 02/20/20 for 2 iPhone XS Max for me and my wife. The two phones wouldn’t charge through the charger port only through wireless charging. The Apple representative told me no problem we will send the two devices to Apple repair department. I provided my information phone number and email so they can give me the status on devices. I waited two weeks and called the Apple store at the Greene back to see the status of my device since I received no notifications at all. The representative I spoke to asked me to confirm my phone number and email and when doing so she told me that isn’t what they had on file. The number they had was a 843 area code number which is South Carolina and I live in Ohio. So they updated the info and my address as well. The representative then told me they would call me back the same day once they got a hold of someone from repair department. No one called me back I called back the next day the Apple store at the Greene. They told me we apologize for not calling you back and that we will call them now. They told me they will escalate the delay. So I waited another two weeks to call Apple back to see status of devices since now the Apple store was closed due to covid-19. I was able to speak to a senior advisor and they informed me that the devices were sent to two different repair locations. They then called me back after 2 days and informed me that the devices had 3rd party parts and the warranty is void. The senior advisor told me they would speak to the engineering department to see if they can get that overturned and reviewed again. I received a call back the next day saying no and I know these devices were not tampered with I had these phones from Verizon and have had them less then a year. I honestly believe they are disorganized and believe they are lying about the two devices. Especially since they can’t even verify my correct info and even had me wait this long to get my phones. I spoke to another senior advisor and informed them to send my phones to my home since the Apple store was closed. They said no problem and had me give them my address to send them to me. I called again today which is 5/3/2020 and they told me the devices are at the Apple store. I literally have all these calls recorded and will gladly make this a legal issue.
Go in and ask for Sam. He was AMAZING! Not only was he kind, attentive and had great communication skills but he was one of the most helpful customer service workers I have ever worked with. He went above and beyond to help me solve my problem: he called both AppleCare and Best Buy for me. He could have easily told me those were the steps that I would need to take, but instead, he took the time and did it. Wow, was I ever impressed with Sam!
After trying to find this place I was afew minutes late Coming from Cincinnati an hour plus away, I guess it was John said I had to reschedule . Nothanks seeing that my phone is barely hanging on to life I cant wait abnother day let alone a week or two. jerks !!!!Apple should replace my phone since im paying for insurance I mean look at all your 1 stars .
Long wait to pick up items. Friendly employees but with Covid-19 I recommend getting items shipped. This store normally earns a five ⭐ rating.
I brought my phone in because after hours of charging, it still would not turn on. My appointment was at 3:20 and after checking in they said to wait towards the back of the sore and someone would be with me in a few moments. 30 minutes passed before I was able to speak with my technician, however the store was very busy since it was a weekend. They ran an initial diagnostic test to see if there were any issues and a green check mark signified that everything was good. She then ran an additional test using a current checker and told me that this tool was used to determine, very simply, whether my phone would ever turn on again”. Sadly she informed me that there was no hope for my phone, disconnected the checker, and immediately pulled up options on purchasing a new phone. I knew a new phone would be astronomical without insurance so I told her that I believed I had insurance through my cell phone provider (AT&T) and that I would want to purchase a new phone through them. I THEN ASKED IF REPLACING MY BATTERY WOULD HELP, and she said no.The representative at AT&T stated that they have never heard of a phone being deemed completely toast without further inspection, so they recommended a repair shop, Gem City, for a second opinion. I am so glad that I trusted AT&T and not Apple because after a battery change my phone TURNED ON! And for the low price of $80.I decided to take my phone back to Apple and explain my frustration on how I almost purchased an entirely new phone based on their “expertise and tools” and how I’m glad that even though she said a new battery wouldn’t help, I tried any way. Unfortunately after reading a few other reviews for Apple, I’m not the only one affected by these current checkers not being accurate and an Apple salesperson trying to suggest that buying a new device is my only option. Neither the representative or supervisor could explain to me why they were so confident that my phone would never turn on, yet here I am, writing this review on that very same phone.
Picking up an item, received text stating stating: your order will be ready in your pick up window, I stopped what I was doing, drove 20 minute, arrived in the middle of this window... and not ready. Employee tell me I will receive a text when it ready... cant they phrase it differently?.. he is unable to give me an ETA for it.It is Apple... you need to place an appointment to pick-up and they are not able to do it... how are doing all food places?Lost one hour. Order now cancelled.
They did not explain the non return policy during my transaction. But expand it in depth when I tried to return an item minutes later. Buy from a place that accepts returns. Just incase you have an issue. Avoid this store
Made a appointment for a iPad repair and purchase another ipad. Was informed when I arrived I can only do one or the other. How can a store stay in business if they don’t want to make any sales? Kinda disappointed I made the drive but at least they repaired the pad. I tried to tell them I already know what I wanted but you have to purchase online and come back for a pickup.
Worst worst worst, Im switching from Apple to anything else and it would be better for sure, past few months I can’t have access to any customer support, I had continuous problems with iphone and MacBook and every time I try to go to store to ask for help thay tell me that first available appointments in 3 weeks from today, I consider Apple products as expensive garbage and Apple prove that in 99% of situations, and I’m paying Apple Care +, why I’m paying and for what, I didn’t receive any help when I need it, have to go to private computer shops to fix my issues
I was just doing a pickup. I found parking right across street. Got in line, rep approached me; Asked last name, found my visit reservation, flashed me Govt ID; Asked if I was just collecting order then Dash; Said theyll bring order out to me; scanned order QR code; I was way on my way!
DO NOT BUY A 13 MACBOOK PRO FROM THIS STORE. At least right now in late October 2020, I would strongly suggest you do not unless you want to waste your time. This is not a review on the staff at the store, but rather the INVENTORY at the store. I purchased a MBP with 32gb RAM and a 2tb HD on Saturday (10/24/2020) via apple.com, picked it up on Sunday at this store because it was in stock and was looking forward to a much needed upgrade from my MBP late 2013 model.Out of the box, the screen was blank and it would not start. I just went in to exchange it today thinking it was just a lemon and opened up another brand new box while still in the store, and it was again a blank screen and the power button would not start it up. I was told that they could take it in the back and force a software upgrade on it that would basically jump start it. I am not rich and will never pretend to be, but I would think that even someone with a lot of money would expect a lot more from a $3,000+ laptop. I should not have to be the quality control check on your inventory Apple. After 25 years of being a completely dedicated apple-only hardware user, I am definitely having a dilemma now. Even after I know that a software update to Catalina destroyed 10 years of digital photos on an external drive because they released issues with their own Photos software. Even though I cannot use a brand new Canon DSLR in tethering mode because of Catalina. I could go on and on and I was STILL going to stay with apple and was very much excited to upgrade. It is very unfortunate that I can no longer rely on their products being unmatched in quality.Make sure you arent the next quality control guinea pig and if you are buying a macbook at this store, do yourself a favor and open it up IN STORE to make sure it actually works.
Did a fantastic job helping us and making the process as simple as possible.
Best place family get together
It is neat to see a place that cares about the customer as a customer and not just as another widget. The Apple store here has always been a great experience on friendly service with a smile. There of been many times I brought my computers in for little projects or possibly just replacing them and they are always great with quickly getting the customer service and getting my issues resolved.
Fairly quick staff, but the security they had working the door, NO WAY THAT PLACE IS GETTING ROBBED, LOL, security was very, very intense, at a phone, laptop store??? But the guy who helped us was very nice
Wasnt impressed with how quickly they turned us away. Saying we had to make an appointment without even asking what we needed. You need to change the sites info that you dont need an appointment. The problem was solved. Thank you very much!
Great service. Ordered two apple watches and they had them ready to go in a few minutes.
My phone was under warranty and working with Hunter I explained to him I had a lot of pictures and I did not want to lose them. He insured me that we would get all the pictures uploaded to the iCloud. I also told him if the pictures couldn’t be uploaded I would be willing to purchase a phone that evening. After being at the store for over an hour or so it was close to 8pm and the store closes at 9. The phone was not loading my pictures to the iCloud fast enough. Hunter told me he would get me the loaner phone and let me go and he would continue to upload the rest of my pictures. I trusted him to do that knowing I explained to him I didn’t want to lose any pictures. He said he would take care of it. So thinking it was ok and safe to leave my phone I left, and knowing what I know now I WOULD OF NEVER LEFT! I checked my iCloud a few days later and the only pictures uploaded to the iCloud were the pictures I sat at the store with him uploading. I called the store immediately and got the run around! I waited over 10 minutes for someone to answer the phone and when I finally got someone to answer I spoke to an employee named Casey and I told him the situation! He informed me that once a customer leaves the store all information, pictures and contact information is supposed to erased off the phone and sent out! Now knowing this I am extremely upset! I then told the situation to him and he informed me that Hunter is not suppose to do what he told me he was going to do, it was against store policy! Casey told me he was going to stop repair on the phone and send it back to the store to see if the pictures were possibly left on the phone! I waited a few days and called again to the Greene! To find out that repair was never stopped and that the phone was repaired and being sent back! So now! I have no pictures of my deceased mother! From her last days I had with her. This has been the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had with a company!!! Not a single manager or supervisor has followed up with me regarding this issue! This will be my last Apple product! I also think it’s absolutely ridiculous that you can not call directly into the store to speak to someone! I asked an employee for a direct phone number to call in and he replied back saying they don’t have a direct number to call in due to COVID!! I’m pretty sure if anyone calls in you are more then 6ft apart! And all the employees that stand around or just cleaning the display iPhones and other products they could disinfect the phones!
The service was superbly organized, efficient, safe (following great COVID-19 protocols), and friendly!
I had a iPhone 6s Plus not being used. Knew of the recycle program with Apple and proceeded to head to my nearest Apple store to turn in this older phone. Was greeted promptly at the main entrance, store was very busy and was assured someone would be with me shortly and I was welcome to look around. I was soon greeted by a young woman who promptly took care of my needs, was given a $100 gift card for the older iPhone 6s Plus. They were already out of the series 4 watch which i could easily order online anyway so no big deal. Prompt, friendly service. Store was well maintained. Will return again.
Great Apple Store with great employees! Very helpful, very respectful and they did an amazing job with social distancing and making me feel safe as a customer.
I only went once during covid to help my 79 year old neighbor get her phone working. The Covid safety practices were excellent. We did not have an appointment but did not have to wait long. Very knowledgeable girl helped us. Very impressed with their customer service.
Very clean and friendly employees. Make your appointment no waiting. Explained things very well.
Could not help me because of Boost Mobile
It’s an Apple store. It’s clean and pristine.
Very helpful
3rd time and I still can’t replace/purchase a single AirPod. First time was told to come back the next day at opening, because there are usually openings and I needed the AirPod case to replace/purchase a new one. There weren’t, okay, my fault for taking the chance. Set up an appointment for a week later. I go on said day but was told my appointment was for 4:10 not 4.30. Never received a reminder email, had tried to call earlier to make sure I had the correct time and was on hold for 30 minutes. Only option was set up another appointment. Then finally told, my issue can be resolved by phone and given a new number to call. First time I went, they had available slots, but was told I’d need to bring in the remaining AirPod in order to purchase the replacement, but not told I could do it over the phone. Ugh I hope I never have to go back.
I went to the Genuis Bar for some assistance with my device’s battery. It did end up taking 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment for a representative to assist me but they were very friendly to me and helpful in determining the issue I was having. It’s also just so cool inside of their store! I love this place!
After hours of grueling We cannot help you phone support, I was given an appointment to the Genus bar. I could see 5 people inside the store and 6 people manning the outside Covid restricted Genus bar. The conclusion was to buy a new Mac. I said I will take one. They said put your order in online and get a time slot, that was 3 hours later. There was at least 11 employees and they couldnt process a purchase of a computer that the Genius bar guy said was in the store behind him. Said it would take 2 hours to get a new one, after an hour of processing time.
Made appointment at store because my phone could no longer send or accept phone calls or texts. Kept getting error message that said cellular update failed. Was eventually told that I needed a new phone. I chose to not purchase new phone and instead order and install a new SIM card from my carrier. Was told that there was nothing wrong with my SIM card. Needless to say, after receiving and inserting my new SIM card, my phone is now working properly like it should. On a positive note, the staff was very friendly and courteous.
Love this store. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff. Very fast service. Every time I come to this store I’m in and out quickly.
Ever since the new update 14.0.1 my ringer keeps turning its self all the way down. Please fix this, happens multiple times a day. Very annoying. If it keeps happening instead of upgrading my xr I’ll switch to Samsung
I have always had a good experience in this store. Sometimes the wait can be long, but there is always someone at the front of the store to take my information down or to direct me where to go for my needs that day. Always clean, always friendly.
Had to have a diagnostic test on my iPad. I had an appointment, so the wait wasnt hateful.
I have never wanted to stop buying MAC products more in my entire life! I walked in to the store just needing a charger for my device walked in and they said, “Can I help you and get you checked in” I said “yes, I need a charger for my product” they respond “oh that’s just an accessory stand back there” and point at the back. I stand and wait patiently where no one acknowledges me (in their defense they were very busy). Then after waiting I went back to the front and said is there a way to just check out? She said I saw you standing there in accessories someone will be there you just have to wait. I went back and waited patiently and stood for another 5 minutes. Then, a very kind sales person said oh I’m sorry are you waiting for accessories? I said yes. Then I handed over my charger port and then was checked out. So, how is this customer service? How is this acceptable? When did the need for an AIR charger become irrelevant? How did being a dedicated MAC supporter/customer become unattractive? Today, it did for me and I plan on being less committed to purchase Apple products in the future based on this level (or lack of) customer service. I will never purchase a product for this store again.
Love the variety of stores and restaurants at The Greene! There is almost a store for every shopper, which makes it convenient. I love being able to walk around outside and enjoy nice weather while shopping.
Loved it.. they were super busy! But we ordered on phone while driving to the Greene and walked in checked in and out came our order! In and out! Ps she loves the new watch!
We ran in to purchase a new phone. Sam, our assistant, was very knowledgeable as well as helpful. He got us the phone, everything switched over, and out the door way faster than we had anticipated. Great job!
Sales people are not pushy at all, they were very informative and allowed a lot of hands on use before buying anything. They answered all my questions and got me the best deal possible. It tends to be a little crowded in here at all times of the day so be prepared to spend an hour or more here if you’re buying a device.
Really not happy with the service I have received and not happy that no one wants to help
I had an appointment with the Genius Bar and everything went smoothly! We also asked about Apple products when moving overseas, and got an honest answer from the person working there about where/when to buy. It didn’t benefit her in any way, and we appreciated the sincere advice and direction.
Have to have appt. Line outside and taking EVERYONES temperature with multiple aggressive security guards - Its like visiting a prison!
I just have to say that I absolutely with all honesty had the best worker out of all Apple stores. JOHN at the Greene Apple Store knew his stuff and was SO generous. He deserves to be promoted!!!! Not even joking..
Jo-Jo McNeal Is the best. We had to switch out my phone because of a glitch. We were on the phone with customer service (for Virgin Mobile) for what seemed like an eternity. She was extremely patient and helpful and this review doesn’t even do her justice. I am so thankful!
I was just there a few weeks ago, and let me tell you about the short metrotentacle manager I had to tolerate: good lord, he’s swampy. The black guy greeting people was cool tho, but he’s probably swampy too; I don’t discriminate.
Went to the store Friday 3/8. Drew was quick to greet me and help fix the problem. He was the most professional, understanding, and helpful employee I have encountered. Even after leaving the store for lack of paperwork on my part, he was again there to help me. Drew did an excellent job and made a bad day better.
They are overcharging for simple repairs. The part that vibrates needed to be tightened up. They “told” me that the whole top needed to be replacedAnd it was going to cost me $169 plus tax. But as i was waiting to pay the outragous amount, the repair shop the next street over fixed in for free, it took 5 minutes. We have been faithful apple users for years, but now......
Loved the service! Quick turn around on picking up our online order even though the store was filled with people.
I’ve only visited for new purchases or pick up, but I’m always greeted by someone as soon as I enter unless it’s a peak business time. I’ve never been “stuck” in the store longer than I needed to get the transaction done. They’ve been quick and to the point while answering all of my rather simple questions. It remains to be seen how they handle a visit to resolve a product or software issue... I’m hopeful based on previous experiences.
It’s a hit or miss with the staff. The store itself is beautiful and is almost always busy. Sometimes you walk in and they help you step by step with your issues. Other times they act as if your a burden and try to get rid of you quickly so they can move on to the next person. Here are 3 standout stories of times that didn’t go well. One time I asked to see the AirPod Pros and the women who showed me was visibly shacking. I guess she feared I was going to steal them. There was a police officer in the store with his car parked right out front. When I noticed her demeanor I quickly handed them back to her to give her peace of mind. It wasn’t a pleasant experience for either of us.Another time we popped in because I wanted to buy my mom the new Apple Watch. The salesman was arrogant and trying to show off for the new trainee. We felt as if he forced options on us we didn’t want. From the smaller size because he said it fit my mom‘s wrist better to the watch band itself. Then he forced AppleCare on us after we made it abundantly clear we did not want it.Finally, the host at the front who checks everyone in was real short with me. He asked me a series of questions like do I know my Apple ID password and looked at me as if to say if I don’t then he couldn’t help me. When I was leaving he asked “Can I help you?” I said I’m just leaving and he replied, “That’s great!” I stopped and I was going to say something but I just left.Outside of those three incidents. I’ve always had a pleasant experience here. Maybe they were just in a bad mood that day. I love the store but I wish the staff was a little more kind.
Lied to me about the repair, which is astonishing because Apple always has the best customer support. They refused to do anything to make it right. Experience was so bad now when I have to go to the Apple store I schedule my appointments in Kenwood, a full hour away because my experience was just that bad (and costly). Clearly the genius bar is a misnomer, at least at this location.
Quick easy transaction.
I am sick and tired of dealing with this place. It’s taken three trips just to try to get my daughter’s MacBook battery replaced. First attempt required an hour to wait to see a “genius”. The store rep seemed to simultaneously deal with multiple customers so our visit took another hour. After an hour they confirmed what we already knew and said our battery had died. Genius. THEN we were told that battery replacements were not done on the premises - the one question we asked at the front of the store And was told could be done. My daughter needed her laptop for college and so they said “just stop by when you’re next in town to drop off the MacBook for repair”. So I stopped by to drop off the computer to be told that I would have to wait an hour and a half just to drop it off. I didn’t have the time so I said I would return. I then called the local number for the store to make an appointment and amazingly the local number connects to a National call center - what’s the point of having a local number? The call center couldn’t set up an appointment, so I went back to the store. The store told me the national call center was a joke and I shouldn’t waste my time and I should visit the store in person. So can I make an appointment? No, all the slots were taken. Can I wait? Yes, but it’ll be an hour or two. So I give up. I’m finding an independent vendor to do the repairs and I’m not stepping foot in the Greene Apple Store again.
Customer service is awesome. Walked in and store was really busy so i figured I would be in there a while. I was helped right away and made my purchase and was on my way in 5 minutes! Great store.
A nice, prime location for an Apple retail store. Friendly staff who greets you upon walking in. You immediately notice how clean and organized the store is. Plenty of accessories, gadgets and devices to play with to test. And checking out is the fastest Ive experienced anywhere, its a breeze. Highly recommended. Will visit again.
