We called several lawn care places before a neighbor told us about these guys (they care for several neighbors lawns and they are beautiful). None of those places answered or bothered to call us back. K&B answered their phones, and sent someone the next day for estimates. We werent home when they came so they left the estimates on our porch. We called them after looking it over (everything we wanted was reasonably priced) and they came out the next week to start. Our lawn looked better immediately, which we had every weed and very lumpy yard as its been unoccupied for 3+ years. They called today to follow up and schedule our next appointment. Very satisfied so far. Everyone has been very friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Had to call K&B twice in one month for storm damage this year. First time I had a 50 foot Poplar tree come down and crush a tree in my neighbors yard. At the same time, I had them fell two more 50 foot Poplars that were dying, unstable, and a danger to my house, as well as do general clean up of fallen limbs on my property. Price was fair, service was excellent, and they went out of their way to accommodate my schedule as I work nights. They even managed to do minimal damage to my lawn. Far less damage than I was expecting. I was incredibly pleased with the entire interaction.Less than a week after they removed the trees that were a danger to my house, we had the really dangerous storm. That storm cut a tree in half in my front yard and took an entire trunk off one of my Willow trees. My yard was absolutely full of wreckage. They came back out promptly, again being accommodating of my schedule, and quoted me just two hours of work for a flat storm clean up rate of $375 an hour. They not only removed all the wreckage, but took both of my overflowing wood piles at my request. Then the bill came. It was almost $100 LESS than they had quoted me.I can not stress enough how excellent this local company is. They will always be my first and only call for landscaping concerns in the future.

Tim and the K&B team were a pleasure to work with from planning through execution. We had a new paver patio with retaining wall and landscaping installed, plus extensive hedge removal. All the work was done timely and professionally. I look forward to being a return customer for more projects.

They arrive as scheduled, do the work, and clean up all the trimmings immaculately. They recently build a large stone wall for us which turned out great! K&B has taken care of our lawn maintenance needs for the last 10 years and recently we hired them to take down some trees on our properly. All I can say is WOW! K&B has done several large projects for us over the last few years and we have always had great communication and service from them. They stand behind the products they use and service is always friendly. Landscaping is time consuming and back-breaking work. I appreciate what they do and think they are fairly priced. We will continue to use them and refer them to others.

One of the most unprofessional companies I have ever dealt with. This is an email between the “owner” and myself asking for payment after I was told over the phone I wouldn’t have to pay until all services were rendered, which they weren’t. I hired this company to do leaf removal as well as to take care of rocks and debris in my back yard. The came out on one occasion and did half of my yard then I received a bill. I called to let the receptionist or whomever answered the phone know that the job wasn’t completed and she assured me that they were sending the “team” out to finish the rest. They never came. So I called another two times and I was promised each time they would send someone out to finish the yard yet no one ever showed. So no I’m not going to pay for services that were never even rendered. Then this is how the owner replied to me shes a class act as you can tell. I don’t recall saying I. Couldn’t afford it, but I guess if that makes them feel better about stiffing someone that hired their company to do work.If your considering this company consider someone else do yourself a favor and don’t waste your time with this lack of a company

I had a verbal commitment to cut down some trees. There was a storm and K@B decided to step over their commitment to me to pursue the more lucrative insurance work. I was okay with a week after the storm but they wanted two. Their tree service scheduler said to me that you either accept the different appointment or youre not going to have your service with K@B. I called to speak with management at the store and the woman kept telling me youre yelling at me. I never yelled, Im a hard of hearing veteran and speak loudly. I told her I was not yelling. She was intentionally trying to portray me as an unruly customer.Later the store manager called and admitted that I was right to be upset with the scheduling but he was going to stand by his employees.This was among my worst customer service experiences of my life. To be told over and over sir, you are yelling and I kept saying No, Im hard of hearing. Over and over. Very, very rude.I called a local guy and he was over in two days and took the trees down. He valued customer service, he made it happen despite all the insurance work which pays better. Look at the other local guys and talk to Al. You dont have to be second on K@Bs list.

Absolutely amazing service! The office staff was friendly and courteous. The lawn and tree crew were so articulate our lawn was immaculate after they removed two stumps in our yard and replanted a large area of grass- creeping Charlie NO MORE. Tim was very knowledgeable and explained every detail of the process before, during and after. Our gorgeous lawn is a testament to their hard work and dedication! Job well done KB

K&B removed a large honey locust a few weeks ago that had been badly storm damaged. I kept forgetting to write a review until today. They did a great job, very professional, and lowest price of the 5 estimates I got.

I have been using K&B Tree & Lawn Care for a number of different applications since moving to my new home in October 2018. I started with the weed and feed program after I looked out my window and could plainly see the difference between my lawn (all weeds) and my next door neighbor’s beautiful, healthy lawn (a K&B lawn application customer). Next, I hired Tim and his crew to plant 5 trees in my backyard. Lastly, I hired them for tree trimming and a landscaping project. The care given to my property was outstanding! They treated my yard and my trees as if they were their own! I am so impressed with Tim and his staff, and I am beyond pleased with all of my tree and lawn projects! I would highly recommend them to others!

When people say something turned out better than they imagined? That really happens.My home project involved taking up and relaying some flagstone, and then helping to reconfigure a neglected longish and narrow backyard. They dug out the area, added mulch where needed, reseeded areas, and constructed a ~15’x5’ patio set with pavers.They transformed it into an attractive and useable spot for sitting and relaxing.Tim attentive and easy to reach.Crew all respectful and good problem solvers for the small issues that arose that make a big difference in final result.Thanks to all of them.I’m so pleased.💫

I recently had K&B install my sod for my entire lawn in Columbus. Excellent service from Tim and his staff. They seemed as though they actually cared about wanting me to be happy with their work. I certainly am and have spread the word to others in my neighborhood. I WILL be using K&B again !

Recently after a snow fall I contacted K&B for an estimate on clearing our business parking lot / sidewalks. Within less than an hour, I had an estimate & prices were very reasonable. Have them the “go ahead” and they followed my instructions as to where they should put the snow. The lot was cleared in a timely manner - cannot thank Lori, Tim & Chris enough for treating us like we were their only customer! Will definitely use their services again - job done right the first time!! Doesn’t get any better than this!

These guys cleared trees on a tight schedule when a building company pushed up the date of some construction at our place. The builders appreciate it, too! And K&B has a great receptionist, as well.

Dan and his team in the office and in the field did great work, had amazing customer service and really went above and beyond. My wife and I bought a house just before Spring in desperate need of tree work and they fit us in to a very busy schedule (best guys in town...) and did great work on our 90+ year old trees that are now safe and good for years to come. I highly recommend K&B if you need tree services.

Personally I think their the best. They took one of our trees down that was rotten never left a mark in the yard. Now this winter I had a huge pile of snow I couldnt throw anymore on top of it. one of their employees was nice enough to just push it in for me so I could shovel into that spot again. Thank you K&B

K and b has no clue how to properly prune a tree they just come in and remove all your lower limbs their bucket can reach. Absolutely no kind of tree research. Lions tailing at its best. Call a real arboris give your trees what they really need.

Well today up in the tree in Waupun with a ladder trying to fix what a tornado has done to our tree, on the budget we can afford. This team k&b of yahoo’s drive by to harass us not once, but twice. Why harass when it would of been so easy to ask if a community member may want your services and if they could use help, but no they drive by us twice to tell us, you will fall. Some of us don’t Make millions so we try to do the best of what we have, and your drive by harassment was not needed. K & B grow up or go home, next time offer to help with your services or keep your peanut gallery to yourself. To me your actions made you look childish, and not professional at all, in my opinion.

Exceptional service

In regards to the landscaping work performed by K&B in 2015: If I could rate this company ZERO stars I would have! The problems were many with this company...(1) they said they would match the plants to a portion of my other landscaping, they did a very poor job at that, the plants were similar but OBVIOUSLY not the same! (2) they were going to match the river rock to my other river rock... they did not initially match it, and tried to sell me (who is colorblind) that it matched. Needless to say, my wife was furious that it did not match at all. These rocks were reluctantly removed and replaced by K & B, but I believe we had to pay 1/2 of the cost! (3) I had used paver edging for my other landscaping and they were going to match that edging. The paver color matched, which was fine, but the pavers were put on dirt, not compacted gravel to prevent settling, and not with a weed barrier underneath to prevent all the grass and weeds that were going to grow up through and around them. The guy in charge told me that he wished he would have known that, but any pro landscaper should know to compact gravel and level the pavers and to use some sort of weed barrier, plus he was supposed to match what I had done already, so all he had to do was look! (4) sod was not completely removed: I addressed this with them and they were supposed to fix this but I have clumps of grass growing in my landscaping this year, so it obviously was not removed! (4.5) They left huge gaps in the areas where they did install the weed barrier; the weed barrier should overlap several inches to prevent weeds. They were supposed to fix this but obviously they did not do a good job or I wouldnt have the clumps of grass this year! I am not talking about grass reseeding itself, I am talking about clumps because of poorly done landscaping and not properly removing the sod. The head landscaper wrote my wife, this week, and told her he could tell her how to manage that...Can you believe that, he is not going to be accountable for something he was paid to prevent! (5) where the landscaping meets the edging, they did not properly level it off to fit the 2-3 inches of stone in the landscaping, and now if I were to have 2-3 inches of stone, the yard would be flooded with rock and my pavers would be covered with rocks instead of being visible. So now, I have to allow landscaping fabric to show through the rocks to prevent a flood of rocks where I mow. (6) My pavers were not compacted or properly filled with sand between the stones. actually, I had to put most of the sand that is there and I still need about twice as much to finish the job! There are too many issues for this to be a separate lone occurrence! Please think twice before hiring this company!
