Very wonderful people and was extremely kind with lots of helpful things.
This is a great place if you need a little bit of help. for all of you saying that the volunteers are rude or disrespectful, they’re trying to help you. please listen to them. and of course, you have to donate old clothes, otherwise this place would not thrive. please treat others the way you would like to be treated.
Yes very rude need new nice volunteers who know how to talk to people
This is a blessing. We are so grateful. Thank you for helping our family.
Clothes For Kids Inc in Beaver Dam is a great place to go. It is a program run by dedicated volunteers. Where everyone is friendly and eager to help. Clothes For Kid provides clothes, shoes, hygiene products, school supplies and more...
I believe that many other cities and towns could benefit from a program like this one. If you are there for your first time, they explain everything to you and you are allowed to start fresh. Once you are in the program, yes, they expect for people to bring in donations in order to continue to receive new items for their children. Without the donations, the program would not thrive. I think all of the people who work there have always been friendly and very helpful. Once, I was in there and they even had brand new jeans for adults that they were giving away. I dont know if I could ever express to the people at Clothes 4 Kids just how much they have helped me and my family.
The two ladies in the front are extremely rude. Have no respect for anyone. Last year I tried donating to them and they refused my donations. This yr I took my kids in to get school supplies and they said we didnt donate so we couldnt get help till the 25th. Lady expected us to sit in the heat to read their rules. The lady that signs you in also kept bossing my kids around they were so confused that they had enough for one day. One my kids has disabilities and he kept asking why is she so mad.
Policy changes were not indicated the time I came in the summer 2016. The receptionist was very rude abt it in Oct 2016 and basically said well I dont know how you got clothes in the summer because this policy was in place when she was the same person that checked me in . When you get new policies maybe mail out a letter since they have address on file.
The older blonde lady is very very rude to the point where she tries to be little you she told me the wont appecting newly used baby equipment but tinted around and appected the ones from a white lady the one with short spikey hair is disrespectful coming up with rules on spot because we had been there a couple of times. But there is hope so far the ladies on the Thursday shift are great thank you ladies for trying to better our city. And to the Tuesday workers please work on your manners please
So first off I will say the blond with short hair is a bit rude at first she wants to make sure everyone knows the rules. Second about the person that complained that she gave her child a snack it clearly says on a sign no food or beverages. Third yes you have to donate every time you come in thats how the program works. If you dont donate to the program and youre continuously getting clothing thier wouldnt be any clothing for other children. Or for example alot of people were upset this year because they were turning down people for school supplies because they would only use the program that one time for that purpose only. I give a lot of credit to the women there, they are full time volunteers, who work to better our community for those who cant afford the items being donated! Just wanted to make sure everything was justified seeing the other reviews. And if the ladies at cloths 4 kids happen to see this keep up the good work and God bless.Ashley (A fellow memeber)
Unfortunantly the 1st review for this organization is misinformed. There are no qualifiers to be able to obtain services from Clothes for Kids other than agreeing to follow the rules that are clearly posted at the site. This is an organization that gives free clothes, shoes, school supplies, etc to children of all ages who need assistance. Everything in the store is donated and all the staff are volunteers, there are no paid staff. Clothes for Kids is totally funded by donations from the Beaver Dam and surrounding communities and does not recieve government funding. They do try to run as an exchange program so if you recieve clothes and your child outgrows them and needs larger clothes, they do ask that the old clothes be brought (if possible) back in clean condition. Clothes for Kids volunteers work very hard to ensure that every child is clothed and has necessary school items.
Very rude and disrespectful. When I first came in I was verbally attacted by a tall blonde women.
This is a great place
