I would recommend this place to any one. They were fast and fair and got my car done right away. Very friendly staff.
Russ is very nice and each time I come in, I know it will be a pleasant experience. I have had many things done here now and each time I have been very happy with the work. Which compared to past mechanics is a wonderful change to know I’m getting good work done. It also a fair price. Definitely not the cheapest place in town, but you get what you pay for. It still is a reasonable fees and I’m not ever worried of being price gouged or cheated. Finally I can go to a mechanic and not worry about being swindled.
We were on our way home from our honeymoon and ended up with a flat tire. We were lucky enough to be close enough to Russ’s. He was super friendly, and able to replace the tire the next day. I would recommend this place to anyone!
He hung up the phone cause I was asking questions
It disgusts me that I even have to click one star to be able to leave this review!!! Went in for a tire patch..... Thats it! He patched the tire and said it had a broken tire sensor, and that the tire sensor light will be on unless we get a new one. The nail that went into the tire hit it (Russ says), even though the tire sensor light never came on. $90 with a discount if purchased right now. No thanks. A week later the air is out of the tire..... But theyre too busy to look at it. We take it somewhere else for repair and they say the wrong stem valve was put back on. That would fix the tire sensor issue. That no way a small nail where it was would have broken the sensor. We go back to Russ to have the correct stem put back on, and he says he took the tire sensor out all together. My husband said but I chose not to buy another one, and why didnt you tell me you took it out?? Then he tells me he gave it to my husband but he threw it away. Slippery lying snake. Their low rating means something!! Even if the wait it too long elsewhere...... Just wait!!! It will cost you more time, money, and pain to deal with this guy!!!
Every time we went in, within a week something else went wrong. highly suspicious. this ended when i went somewhere else.
This place may be great for regular cars, but if you have a Volvo in need or repair, do not take it here. The part fees and labor are pricey and for our car, the issue wasnt resolved. My wife took our 2005 Volvo XC90 here for repair as she was told that this was the only shop in town that might be able to handle a Volvo. We had just moved to the area and the car itself we had recently purchased at an auction. The check engine light was on and the car was running rough and had trouble starting. I was out of town, she needed a fast turn-around and thought if they didnt know how to fix it, the shop would be up front and tell her to take it on into Madison. The mechanic couldnt pinpoint the problem and tells her it might be the plugs or maybe the oil trap. She was foolish enough to listen and let him change the oil trap. This cost us a whopping $653 in parts-not including UPS or freight (Amazon lists those same parts for $310) and then labor $442 for 5.2 hrs (Thats $85/hour folks) . Took a few days to get parts as well. This didnt fix the problem, so the plugs were changed. Again 5 spark plugs...a whopping $70.55 (Amazon $31.95) plus $127.50 in labor. This didnt fix the problem either, but she needed the car back. So now were out a chunk of change, the problem is not fixed, and the check engine light is on again.I did some reading and come to find out the oil trap and hoses probably didnt need to be changed...the car didnt have any leaking oil, no dipstick problems, bad gas mileage or smoky exhaust, and as stated...changing it didnt make a bit of difference.Im not sure what they charge for parts/labor for American made cars, but for us their prices seemed outlandish. Perhaps they thought that because we own a Volvo we must have money, but that is so far from the truth I have to laugh. We bought it at one of those car auctions a couple months back as we needed a second vehicle. (You know the kind of auction where you only get CarFax information, but low prices.) It has some appearance issues, but otherwise has been running fine until the last couple of weeks. We had a Volvo mechanic go over it after we purchased it, to make sure there were no major engine/exhaust issues.
Dudes not nice. Outrageous price. Takes forever. I will never return.
Took my car in for a ball joint fix. ...hours later my car wont go in drive.
