I rented the excavator for $2325 but the bill was for $4167 and $2325 I called and the representative said the $2325 charge was a place holder and would be returned to me and then said the $4167 was for two weeks charge when I only had the equipment for one week 0700 on 20 April to 07 on 27 April. Equipment actually arrived at 0800 on 20 April and was picked up after the 27 April although it was ready( cleaned and full of fuel) at 0700. The equipment broke down on Saturday and the technician sent out was not engaged to fix it. He did not have a computer to check the error codes and let us know it was going to be an 8hr call out. The issue was something (probably a stick) penetrated the belly panel and severed a heater hose and pulled a wire lose from the eyelet fastener. The fix should have been a less than an hour to reattach the eyelet and splice hose. However the technician removed the wire to repair at his truck. When he re-attached the wire; the equipment would not start and he could not diagnose it (no computer) and he could not get ahold of any on call technicians. He told me they would send out a replacement in the morning. John Deer technician repaired it within 2 hours on 27 APR- the cannon plug connecting the wire to harness was not fully connected and the eyelet was not properly crimped (wire fell out). It could have been fixed the first time had the mechanic reinstalled the wire completely and crimped the eyelet properly thus no additional charges
Most equipment is readily available and ready for service.
My first time renting for united.Rented a skid steer had to clean the glass to see out of it dirtiest unit i have ever rented. Had problems starting the unit starter wouldnt engage, made a horrible noise when running. All the problems used it maybe an hour an half. Had to use a fork lift to take it off trailer when returned wouldnt start again. Told front desk they took a hundred off the bill guess that made sense to them. Probably wont rent from them again wasted time and money just wasnt a reliable machine.
