This place was awesome. Reminds me of the old days. They still use warm lather that comes out a machine and they still use a straight razor as well as clippers.

Rick seemed like an awesome guy. Wish his barber skills were as good as the stories he told. I’m not exaggerating, I walked out of there today with the worst haircut I have ever had in my whole life. I am scared to go back and ask him to fix it thinking it will only get worse. Don’t know how it could get ANY worse. I could have done a better job on myself and probably wouldn’t have taken so damn long. I will have to go somewhere else now. Not sure where though because I have tried 6 different places now and no one can cut it, pun intended. What the hell is wrong with barbers in SETX!?

I like getting my hair cut here. The barbers are friendly and have great prices. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a good barber!

Went here a couple times and the cuts were pretty good. But the last couple times I went they cut my hair way too short despite what I wanted, and then just recently the guy totally wrecked my fade. There’s essentially a buzzed spot way too high on my head where the fade should start. I didn’t even notice until I got home because you can’t see the side of your head in a mirror, but the side of my head looks horrible. Seems like the barbers have just stopped caring. Never coming back

Visited to ask if they would clean my hair line up around the ears and neck since I regularly buzz my own hair and was simply told that they only provided haircuts. (This is something others have readily done for me in years past.) I asked if the barber would even consider doing this and was told again that they only provided haircuts. As a wet shaver for many years now, I wanted to like this place since they offer the traditional razor clean-up. I cannot comment on the quality of the cut since I was not served. I also asked about appointments and they apperently only take walk-ins.

Does anyone know if this barber shop is going to reopen?

Great place . I bring my grandfather, its always played back . The barbers get the job done and listen to their customers wants and needs .

Rick and Buford are a couple of old school barbers giving haircuts to a mostly old school clientele. They do a good cut for a reasonable price and edge you up with a razor at no additional charge. Would give more stars, but the shop itself is a bit dilapidated and the parking lot is potholed nightmare.

I drive 60 miles round trip to use these guys. Great prices great haircuts.

It’s hard to find a traditional barbershop here in Beaumont. The one’s I’ve been to are either bad at listening (when giving instructions on how you want your haircut) or are always in a rush to finish you up so they can work on the next customer. Haircuts are suppose to be relaxing and this place is it. Their shop is worn out from the outside but when you get inside, it gives you that “I’m at home” feel. Beauford took great care of me and listened to my haircut instructions. He takes his time and keeps a conversation with you as he works his craft. My haircut was exactly how I wanted it! Also, they charge a lot less than other modern “barbershops”. They’ve earned my trust and will be a regular customer from now on.

Quick and easy, usually only a short wait to get a hair cut. 2 barbers on duty most of the time.

I drive from Liberty to Beaumont for a haircut and see Rick. I wont go anywhere else! Awesome barber!
