Michael is always looking to save me money, and takes a minute now and again to laugh with a few jokes. Ive been with Michael Stagnitas Bay Shore State Farm since it opened and dont plan on leaving.

I began the process of obtaining a quote yesterday afternoon, via email, texts, and a phone call with Claudia and Victoria. By lunchtime today, after being greeted warmly and sincerely by Michael, I was in the office, finalizing and signing-off on my State Farm auto insurance, while also completing the questionnaire for the State Farm life insurance underwriters.The paperwork for both was detailed, but Claudia talked me through every step, patiently and professionally explaining what it all meant, offering me options on the various products State Farm could handle for my particular life and needs. She was not pushy or condescending, which was a welcomed relief.Victoria, State Farm recent hire, had discussed with me yesterday the details of my car, current policy, as well as my life insurance, relaying all that information to Claudia before the three of us got on the phone later that day, to get a better idea of my needs and weigh my options for life insurance. Today, as I sat in Claudias office, Victoria was very attentive to what Claudia was explaining, as Claudia guided her through all the steps to be completed.Within an hour, I walked out with a folder containing my State Farm insurance, beating my previous insurers rates. From now on, its State Farm for me!

From the time I called up on the telephone to get a quote until the actual policy is delivered was a very positive experience. After discussing my needs with Claudia I decided to switch my auto policy as well as the homeowners policy I originally went into the agency to purchase. When I returned to NY for familial reasons in 2008, I requested and subsequently had my account transferred to the Bay Shore office of State Farm where I wanted to be. Bay Shore is my hometown in this country and I prefer to do business with local owner/operators. It was at this point, ten years ago, I met Michael Stagnitta, the Agent and business owner. We had a good chemistry from the start and Ive had the opportunity to watch Michael while he helps a client in the office or is on the phone with a client.Michael is an affable communicator and believes client service is job #1! He also has an excellent trait in that should he not have an answer--which is unusual--to a question at hand, hell say, I dont know. Let me find out and Ill let you know as soon as possible. Frequently, hell do it while hes with the client. One cant ask for better than that.In this day and age of name your own price in only 15 minutes faux insurance companies, its great to know Micheal is truly there for you representing a really good company. Let me start by saying I just switched from Geico who had just screwed me by doubling my rate for just one accident. I must say the change couldnt have been easier. I was greeted over the phone by Claudia from a local agency and she has been phenomenal throughout the whole process. She walked me though the quote and changeover step by step and even saved me extra with a bundle. I had auto insurance for 266 then they boosted it up to 600 in a month Progressive is better you only pay 325 296 with a bundle and they dont spell your last name wrong to mess up your car insurance

Very helpful, fully informed on how to decide the best coverage for my car, best customer service I’ve had in a long time

When my wife and I switched to State Farm it started off great, we saved money, everyone at the office was fantastic. The problem started around October 2017 when our rates slowly when up anywhere from 10 to 15 dollars a month with no warning or explanation. November 2017 we got married and my wife got married and my wife rented me a corvette for a day. So we had to up the insurance for the day which worked out to a couple of dollars for the day. We stopped in on a Saturday to bump up the insurance and it would go back down the next day on Sunday. Well the local office is closed Sunday so they put a note in the system to lower the insurance that Sunday and we made a call to the National 800 number as a reminder. Well it never changed and though we called several times, it never went back down for months. So after many calls, we get told by a lady in the local office that yes it was a mistake they could only refund any money for only one month (b.s). Finally sort that out with the national office and we notice the bill went up again with no warning or explanation. Finally we are told that the safety rating on my wife’s 2017 Jeep Cherokee (lease) went down 10 percent and our rate went up. Was also never told or warned that a claim made against our insurance went through almost a year after the fender bender even though I was told by Michael himself “not to worry”. Fast forward to March of 2018 we switch to geico mid month. Naturally trying to cancel our policy was just as hard as getting any answers about our policy to begin with. It is now may 24, we still have not recieved the half month rate refund due to us but they still have things listed as active for State Farm. Like my car and some personal policy items which is tough because we had to send proof to State Farm that we switched to Geico, we also recieved a call from the bay shore office this morning at 952 am they left a message stating our payment is passed due. Well wouldn’t you know I returned the call and was told that they didn’t call us or leave a message (which they did). Michael himself was fantastic and always took great care of us. All other employees at his office are very very close to useless and very hard to deal with. So my review is they are great in the beginning but after a few years they will screw you!
