I had a horrible experience working with Betsy on a redesign project for my e-commerce website. Though I secured Betsy’s services at a discounted rate with associated limitations such as limited choices in website templates and functionalities and an expedited start date, I was assured that I would have a full functioning website at the completion of the project.Her approach to business was unprofessional and not customer focus. She would repeatedly ignore questions in my email and only respond to what she felt comfortable answering. When asked for guidance on what was needed to expedite the process to ensure I could meet desired deadlines, none was given. Betsy would forward me emails from her developer without providing any context. As a result, the process was extended because proper/clear clarification was not provided upfront so I had to follow up for clarifying information.When there was a mishap in the project, Betsy would first point to my actions as the source of the problem. For example, the client walk through occurred before the site went live. Coupled with the fact the facilitator was not knowledgeable about the e-commerce side of the website, there were topics that we could not discuss and functionalities that we were unable to explore. When I expressed my concerns to Betsy after the session, she basically told me I did not get what I needed from the training because I insisted on having the session on a specific date. She falsely stated that she told me we needed to have the training once the site was live. I had to refer back to our email communication and show Betsy that she did not communicate any concerns about the date of the training. In fact, she projected the site would be live prior to the session. Plus, due to the hurricane, we ended up pushing out the session 3 days during which time no communication was provided about the site not being ready for the training. Her willingness to put the blame on the customer was baffling. Since the original session scheduled for an hour only lasted 30mins I asked if I could use the remaining time for a session after Betsy/team were able to answer my follow up questions. At first, Betsy stated I would have to pay an additional fee for any more time, but eventually I was able to use the rest of my 30mins for additional training without the additional cost.My biggest regret was that despite my intuition to follow the agreed contract, I submitted final payment prior to the project being completed at Betsy’s request. Betsy reassured me that the final details would be completed. She expressed concern that she wouldn’t have a way to retrieve payment after the site went live and I did not pay. Unfortunately her story was very convincing and I was the one left with an unfinished website that was paid in full. After payment was submitted, as time progressed, it was apparent that completing my project was not a priority. For example, when I asked for a status update regarding fixing the link between my website and my email address. Betsy sent me the directions to pull the email domain information to send to her so the developer could complete the task. As this was out of my expertise I asked her if the developer could handle the task. Her response was that she was slammed and had an employee on vacation so it would not be done for 3 business days. As the client, it was disheartening to know that this 4 month project had been de-deprioritized despite Betsy’s written commitment to see the project through as originally agreed.Unfortunately, I had to find another company to complete the tasks Betsy chose not to complete in a timely manner.

Wow! I am so pleased with the results from Yowza Design and Betsy. She did an awesome job. Yowza Design was able to provide me with the results I was looking for in a very short period of time. Yowza totally turned my website and my digital marketing around. I am planning to use Yowza moving forward. Money well spent. I highly recommend. Outstanding.
