I am a grad student writing my thesis, and when my cat spilled water on my laptop, I thought I was a goner! When a big box repair place couldnt even see me for an initial appointment for another five days?? Jim to the rescue! He was able to recover all of my files and offer an estimate on repairing my laptop that was reasonable. And all BEFORE the other guys would have even seen me. 12/10

It was my first time here and wasn’t quoted any prices upfront besides the $40 deposit. Then, after 4-5 hours I was called and informed it would be $289.xx and the deposit have already been applied. Just to reinstall op system.

Im a college student, I had taken my computer to be repaired by JCs tech and the service was absolutely horrible. They miss diagnosed the issue with my laptop and made me pay for a screen that I didnt need (and was never released even though I paid) the total to fix my laptop was the price of the computer. They did a horrible job the mouse was not working I had to take it back, due to the covid-19 situation I need to take online classes which requires me to use my web cam (I havent used the camera on the laptop since I collected it) to my disappointment I now have a laptop without a working camera because of the negligence of the technicians. THEY NEVER RECONNECTED THE CAMERA WHEN THEY TOOK MY LAPTOP APART. I am now a college student unable to attend video conferences or take monitored exams because I dont have a web cam. Im sure if I were to take my laptop in they would call a hefty price just to correct their mistakes.Would not recommend this place.

Jim and Kool Geeks have been taking care of our dealership since we bought it. He has done an exceptional job and will be my IT guy for years to come. He not only set up all of our computer systems and made sure that we are compliant with security laws, but he also installed all of our security camera system. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!!

Got a complete over haul on my laptop, which included a new battery. Laptop went bad after a few months. Sent it back, they charged me for a new battery AGAIN and battery adapter (only the battery adapter was bad). Changing parts till they could figure it out

Worst experience I had took my laptop to him to get screen repaired. I had small crack in lower right corner he wanted to charge me ridiculous price when I told him I couldnt afford it he tried to come up with charges to charge me for noticing we agreed on and he damaged my whole computer screen and expects me to pay him I have evidence and will see him in court

Terrible work. Could not diagnose the correct problem so he charged for something that wasnt even wrong. I had to diagnose the problem then he tried give me a great deal on the hardware i needed that was several dollars above amazons price. I tried to support him because I support small businesses but never ever ever again. Furthermore, he installed a windows copy to the HDD when i have a HDD and SSD (any computer person knows the only reason to have an SSD is to load the operating system to it). When i told him it was wrong, he tried to charge me again to move it to the SSD. Then 3 months later, i find that my copy of windows isnt legit. This guy should be in jail!!!Edit: in response to the owner: there is only one Kool Geeks in baton rouge so im pretty sure its you. I left multiple voicemails and sent you an email regarding the activate windows message i kept receiving. Never received a reply. After a year of not replying i repaired my own computer the same way i had to diagnose the wireless card issue after paying you to figure out the problem.
