Ive been here 3 times now my first 2 hair cuts were great, today though on my third. The old man didn’t listen to what i said i wanted and completely ruined my hair. Its hair at the end of the day it’ll grow back. But when you show pictures and give what you want it detail and someone rushes through a hair cut and doesn’t listen to a word it’s really frustrating. On the look for another barber now

I brought my elderly father to Cutrones for a haircut. This was our first time here. They were quick to accommodate, assist, & help with my father. Very pleasant, professional & courtesy staff. No appointment needed & they were able to take him right away. They than exceeded our expectations & were quick. While they meet our needs & we will be giving them our business, they are not an old persons barber shop...young guys & gals cutting hair in stylish ways. I love that they have meld together classic & new trends.

I wanted to try a new barbershop before my wedding so I decided to give Cutrones a shot. I walked in and was seated immediately. My barber was extremely professional and he cut my hair exactly how I asked him to. The atmosphere was extremely relaxed and friendly. I ended up getting a haircut, beard trim, neck shave, hot towel, & aftershave for a much better price than any other barbershops Ive tried.Ill definitely be coming back to Cutrones and Id recommend them to anyone.

Nice staff, good atmosphere, and usually decent cuts except for when I went to Lawrence. Had a different cut from the same directions every time I went. And price rose from $17 to $22, haircut lottery isn’t worth it anymore

Neat little barber shop tucked away in the corner of this shopping complex. TR did a great job on my haircut and neck shave. They even used old-fashioned straight razors to shave the back of my neck! The price was ($17 before tip) was even very competitive with prices from other hair places. The shop itself had a nice aesthetic too. I will go back.

It has an old school vibe that I enjoy. The employees seem like some chill group of guys. I drive across Baton Rouge to go here and it beats any other barber shop I’ve been to in the LSU.

Best barbershop Ive found in the 23 years Ive been in Baton Rouge. Excellent quality haircuts every single time and they will trim/shape your beard up all for a price that is better than any chain in town. It can get busy at times, but well worth the wait in a friendly retro-style barbershop atmosphere. They have several big screen TVs that are usually broadcasting sports. For the parents out there, they are great with kids as well.

Very fast haircut by the friendly staff. I walked in and straight to a chair with no wait. The stylist, I think her name was Nina, walked me through all the steps as she was cutting my hair, a useful thing for a guy who cant see without his glasses. She took the time to cut my hair in a way that worked with my head and she was patient when I asked for adjustments. Good luck getting quick friendly service by a clean locally owned shop at one of those big chains. And the best part is, it was the same price as the cheap big chains. I will definitely be going back and recommending them to all my friends.

Great hair cuts, but wait times can be long and its almost never slow. All the barbers give good haircuts, no need to stick to one. Good conversations or quiet cuts they read people well

This guy is good! He doesnt talk much (which can be a good thing....my last barber made a 20 minute haircut take 45), and he always delivers a great cut. I love the straight razor neck shave and hot towel as well! I tried several places after moving to town, and Cutrones is definitely the best!

This place was great, they give good haircuts and they dont have to mask poor quality with big screen tvs, free drinks or other fancy technology, its a barbershop and they cut hair and do it well!!! you might wait but only because places like this are rare, but its definitely worth the wait!!! competitive pricing, great hair cuts, and friendly service!!!! highly recommend! 👍👍👍

I went in and the older man, who I believe owns the shop, was the one who cut my hair, first off he asked me how i wanted it cut, just then a man walked in and saw how many people were waiting and then left, so my barber chased after him, in the middle of me telling him how i wanted my hair cut so he didnt hear me say that i didnt want a lot off the top. He was too worried about chasing the money out the door that he didnt care about the money sitting in his chair. The hair cut was too short and then I asked for a shave. I have never had a barber give me a more rough and unrelaxing shave in my life. He used clippers to get the long hair off and then used an electric razor that seemed like they hadnt been cleaned in years. i just saw him use them on the gentlemans head before me and now hes putting them on my face without even so much as wiping them off! On top of all of that he missed a ton spot on my neck. Im itching. My neck is extremely red and sore. I hate that experience because the other two gentleman who were cutting hair seemed to be doing fine and their customers left looking happy. But unfortunately mine was not a good one. I thought i finally found a good barber I was wrong.

Fantastic place for a cut. Lawrence is an old school gentleman barber with excellent attention to detail. He takes the straight blade to your neck and above the ears and finishes with a hot towel wrap. Just prepare for the clubman!

I’ve known Lawrence since he first arrived at the LSU barbershop. Followed him to his own shop when the LSU nitwits closed down the Union barbershop. Nobody is better. All his barbers are first rate. Love that razor cut, very pro.

I wouldnt go back. I went three times and every time had someone different cut my hair. I liked the first one of them, who unfortunately left the shop. The last lady was talking in a racist way which I wasnt a fan of.

Ive been going to Lawrence for almost ten years way back when he was at LSU. He is an excellent barber and always lines me up nicely. Excellent service and a quality haircut.

Ive finally found someone who gives a great haircut regardless of price. Ive tried the franchises, some expensive barbers, and even the guy on Perkins Rd who uses freaking Flowbees. Cutrones wins hands down and will continue to get my $17 + tip for as long as I have hair.

Im Norman. I got a haircut here last Friday. I told Mr. Cutrone Id write him an honest review and thats exactly what Im doing. I got a fade and asked him to take about 1/4 inch off the top. Let me tell you right now that without a doubt, this man will be my barber until he retires. I previously got my haircut over at Nates on Chimes at LSU, he did a pretty decent job but he never really took his time with me the way that Mr. Cutrone did. I walked in and the younger man offered me a haircut, but I opted to wait for Mr. Cutrone, as Ive heard good things about his haircuts. Mr. Cutrone isnt one of those barbers who asks you lots of questions, he didnt ask me what I do for a living or anything about my personal life; he just began to cut my hair in a professional manner. I started up the conversation, as I like to talk. The guy has a good sense of humor and is very easy to hold a conversation with.The entire haircut took 45 minutes, he didnt rush me at all. It was the best haircut Ive ever received in my 33 years of being alive. I cant imagine a better fade; he used a specialty pair of close clippers to get it shaved to the skin, and gradually blended it up from there. Once he got to the top he really showed his skills, the guy kept combing it around and got it just how he wanted it. When the haircut was complete, he tossed a hot towel on my head and let me tell you what, those hot towels are NICE. Its one thing to read about it, its another to experience it. During the haircut, I kept thinking to myself, People probably pay 100.00 for this kind of haircut and special treatment in Hollywood - Im being dead serious. The man made me feel like I was getting celebrity treatment.His shop is the coolest barber shop Ive ever seen. He had an old mob movie playing on the TV; sitting in his chair getting the shave, I felt like I was about to get whacked. The shop has a nice, nostalgic feel to it. The chairs are of good caliber, nice plush leather chairs - his floor is well kept as well, at a glance I didnt see any dust or any mess at all.Im an electrician by trade, what Im about to say applies to that profession as well as all professions; theres two types of workers in this world, people who take pride in what they do and people who dont. Mr. Cutrone takes pride in his work. I tipped him six bucks on top of 17.50, but he deserved a 10.00 tip. Money is just a little tight with me at the moment, once I finish my degree and get into the job I want, Im not only going to tip this guy well, Im going to bring him Christmas presents. I hope this guy stays in business for a long time, like I said, Im getting my haircuts there until he retires. This guy should be charging 30 bucks per haircut, and he probably will once more people post these kinds of reviews; sorry, I just cant help it, the man awed me with his professionalism and his shop - he deserves to be heard about.

Got a haircut NOTHING like i asked for, even after showing the picture like I wanted. Was done with my hair cut in like 10mins. I asked to line up my beard which was AWFULLY done. In fact trimmed my beard off when cutting my sides. AWFUL experience.
