We used Windmill Countertops for an outdoor grill. Our experience with them was exceptional from the initial meeting to look at options to the day of the installation. This is a company that cares about customer experience. The two women in the office that we met to discuss our options and look at samples were very helpful. It was a pleasure talking with them and getting their thoughts on our project. The man that came to do the final measure was a real pro. He had good input to a couple small decisions we had to make and the final fitting is perfect. The installation crew were all respectful, protected the areas around the grill with drop cloths and did a great job. We’re extremely happy with the finished product and would highly recommend Windmill Countertops.

We remodeled our entire kitchen this summer. We visited Windmill Countertops with an appointment. They had a nice variety of samples. We chose the LG Quartz in Everest. They sent someone out to measure just a few days later. The measurements were very precise considering our walls arent completely flush. After a few weeks, our Countertops were installed with expertise. We were very impressed with the service. Our new Countertops are perfect with our new kitchen.

Countertops are very nice. Templates could have been a little more accurate. Communications could have been better. Could have been 5 stars with a little better templating and more communications. OK I’m not going to lie. These people are great! They were so nice and helpful in the beginning, and all the way to the end. At one point I did get a little disappointed because I wasn’t called in to look at my slab and do my own template; it was already cut when they contacted me. I went in to look at it all nervous and it looked great!.... except the plan where the seam was supposed to be was completely changed. I was suppose to have a small 7in seam, which turned into a full length counter seam somewhere else. I was upset they didn’t tell me, because (to me) that was a big deal going from a small 6/7in seam to a full counter one! I was freaking out! He explained nicely why he had to change the plan and apologized for not letting me know ahead of time, but at the end of the day there’s nothing I could have done. It’s all about the slab cuts. I was freaking out for two days before installation. Looking up all these seams and how terrible they looked. Knowing I’m going to have this huge seam now :(Countertop day came! ALL the guys that came (don’t remember their names) were soooo nice! I told them how much anxiety I was having over this “huge seam.” I already had a plan for my small one to cover it with a cute candle etc haha They were soooo nice about it!! I anxiously awaited during the installation to see the horrific seam. 🤦🏼‍♀️😬😰OMG. Where is the seam even at!?!? Literally can’t even see it! I can not believe how well they did! All my google pics must have been really messed up jobs or these Guys are like perfect!! Would I rather have a smaller one? Well yes, don’t we all? But if it doesn’t work out that way, you just can’t. I cannot be more happy the way the whole counters turned out but especially this stupid seam issue lol so if your worried about a seam, here’s a picture of “find the seam.”(Of course it’ll vary depending on colorAnd type of counters but I can guarantee you they know what they are doing)They also did my bathroom vanity, which I was not expecting to do. I was over budget and so broke, I was just going to buy a home depot top. Well then I found out I had some custom size!! So i would have to cut the Home Depot top to fit. They helped me out so much by letting me pick out a remnant piece which is a little Cheaper and couldn’t be happier about that!Thank you Windmill for taking care of me and all my anxiety!! If you need countertops - run, dont walk to Windmill Countertops in Batavia. We were in the process of selling our home, but our countertops were the original laminate. All feedback obviously was about the kitchen, but we didnt want to invest a ton of money into a house were selling. We were referred to Windmill, and Im so glad we went there! From the moment we walked in we were greeted warmly and the customer service was fantastic. I explained our situation and Donna steered us toward the options that would satisfy our needs and stay within a smaller budget. We werent pressured to choose anything more expensive or sold a bunch of upgrades. They made sure all our needs were met and we were satisfied but respected our budget and wishes without acting any differently than they would if we placed an order ten times our budget.We first visited Windmill on a Friday, chose our granite and confirmed the order on Saturday. Within 10 days it was installed and it is gorgeous! The price was right, the speed was lightning fast and the service was unbeatable. Every employee we met was friendly and helpful. Install was fast. And within minutes of installation being complete, two men from management showed up at the door just to check the work and make sure we were happy.Please visit Windmill and give them a shot at youre business. I had such a disappointing experience with this business. Two disappointing experiences to be exact. The first time I tried purchasing a piece of Cambria here for a bathroom vanity and they were over $400 higher than Marble & Granite Tech in Geneva, needless to say I ended up purchasing from MGT and saved $432. More recently I tried purchasing a remnant that was actually on the premises so I figured I would give them a try again since they are located in my neighborhood and they had something that I wanted and I had a timeframe I was working within, 6 weeks. 6 weeks should have been more than enough time to purchase a remnant that was already on site. I emailed at least a dozen times asking Donna for information about the remnant. It took days and weeks for her to respond, if she even responded at all. When several days would go by without a response I would forward the same email to her and finally she would respond. This happened at least three different times. She gave me the wrong information and told me that the size of the remnant that I wanted was too small for what I needed it for. When I asked her for the actual dimensions of the remnant and she finally got back to me (two weeks later) she then told me that it actually was big enough. When I finally got the simple information that I needed to purchase the remnant (it was now October 1st) she then informed me that it would not be ready by the time I needed it. I started communication with her on August 25th so I was obviously frustrated when she told me that she couldn’t accommodate me. I emailed her letting her know that I was upset and it was because of her lack of communication that I was unable to meet the deadline that I had been diligently working on. Guess what her response was? NOTHING!!!! No email, no phone call, no apology. Nothing.So in a nutshell if you’re looking for a place that has high prices and horrible customer service, this is it!

Every Detail was perfectDecember 2017Windmill Countertops907 W Wilson St, Batavia, IL 60510We decided to remodel our Kitchen and wanted to use as many local services as we could we chose Windmill Countertops. The transformation was amazing and beautiful. After the kids grow up and move out, its time to do something for ourselves. Our cabinets were installed, with some very tough and tight tolerances for an expert to cut and measure countertops. We also wanted an island with an eat-in tabletop chair area. Windmill arrived on time and on the scheduled date, this alone impressed us but the work was amazing. The time-consuming care this company takes to measure twice, cut once was impressive. We fully expected a 5-minute measuring time, but they took 2 hours. They worked with our contractor Bob’s Handyman company very well.When the installation day finally arrived, after several delays not the fault of Windmill Countertops. They never complained, were extremely careful not to make any dings on the cabinets, and walls when they arrived. We had a huge ice storm the few days before, and they shoveled our sidewalk, put in salt, waited for it to melt. 5 men carried the countertops in and it fit like a perfect glove. Even the pantry area small cuts and corners fit perfect. They did our powder room and kitchen under counter sinks, glued, caulked and installed and sealed our granite all in 4 hours. I know how hard it is to caulk and install dishwasher and seal, and it was perfect. We were in awe how anyone could caulk that well. It’s the finals details or the little things that were perfect as well. No detail left undone.Cleanup, was amazing, care and truly understanding the task, and able to answer any questions on site. This team knows their business, every employee. Because it was perfectly done, and on time, our plumber FloTek Plumbing, was able to arrive on schedule too. Windmill Countertops provided quartz countertops for a recent renovation of my kitchen and bathrooms. Janine was able to provide me with a countertop selection that I was unable to find anywhere else and was very accommodating when I made changes to the order. Cesar came out and measured for all of the countertops I needed and within two weeks the countertops were ready for delivery. John, Michael, and Ernie came out, unloaded the countertops, and installed them without any problems. We did have one small piece for one of the bathrooms that was not correct, but Windmill immediately re-measured for the piece and had it delivered and installed within two weeks. It was a pleasure working with Janine, Donna, John, Michael, and Ernie. My countertops are beautiful and I just love them! Thank you Windmill Countertops!
