I live in a very exposed apartment complex with no security gate between the alleyway or the street. They have repeatedly left my packages ( if they ever actually do deliver them) outside on the sidewalk in in front of my door and have never once knocked or even pressed the doorbell even when i made a sign telling them to please ring door bell with arrows pointing to it. Ive had several packages stolen and a few times i risked ordering high value items and by some miracle they were still there an hour or two later when the notification came. I normally wouldnt have an issue if it was rarely a thing but this is a constant thing with every thing ive ever ordered and was usps delivered. When ups or fedex are carrying they ring the doorbell at least. I dontsee how even that is too much of a burden for these postal carriers. Its ridiculous.

Don’t waste ur time going to this post office they canceled my passport appointment twice on the same day I had to go very unprofessional

I don’t usually leave reviews unless I receive traumatically terrible service. This is an exception. My first two months living in Barstow, I had endless frustrations with this post office. Every time they didn’t follow delivery instructions, I’d have to spend two hours and a quarter tank of gas, wait in line and try to rectify “Why aren’t you delivering my mail?!”. Today I had the most incredible experience and I can’t say enough about the wonderful woman who’s in charge whenever I go in (I believe her name is Carla but I can’t remember for sure). She now knows my face and address and gives explicit directions to new postal workers and even sent out our held packages today so that we wouldn’t have to drive to town to pick them up. I didn’t know this, and so I drove in anyway and brought along with me a package that had been mistakenly left in our drop box. The lady kindly explained that it was a FedEx package and even assisted me in how to contact the people the delivery was meant for because their address doesn’t show up properly on google maps. I have now met a neighbor who has quickly become a new friend. Greatest service I’ve ever received at USPS and I’m grateful for the hard-working employee who has done her utmost to put an end to my frustrations with receiving packages.

Brings mail that was supposed to be in like a month ago always giving me someone elses mail they need new management the workers in the office always have poor attitudes and are very rude

I receive my medication through the mail and the Barstow office is the worst service ever they lose my medicine and the supervisor bont hold the carriers accountable they should be shut down.

Barstow CA Postal Service has continued to not deliver our packages when we are home and the area is safe. They continually use reasons such as undeliverable. Amazon packages are left at our door several times a week. We live at Fort Irwin; the area is safe. A few times they have said no one was home, which was not true and no signature was required for any of the packages. I am home all day, everyday and packages have been left at the door without an inquiry - as it is not needed. There has NEVER been a reason to not deliver a package to our home and yet the carrier(s) have found some reason not to deliver packages at times. March 18th, I was left a note to pick up my package in Barstow or schedule a redelivery online. The note said, Missed me while I was out. I was here and available ALL day. However, it could have been placed at the door like the other packages this week and last week. I rescheduled immediately with an open date of delivery for March 19th. Did the redelivery work? NO. It is now March 22nd and no package has been delivered or showing out for delivery. UNACCEPTABLE. It is a large, heavy package from Amazon. They would rather spend time filling out a form rather than walk the package to the door. Someone just did not want to pull it out of the truck and carry to the front door. Those who do not want to deliver packages, should not be allowed to continue working as a postal employee. I have lived in many other states and the Barstow USPS office is in the same league as the DMV.

I requested a hold on my mail they still delivered. My packages are being scanned as delivered and I’m not receiving them not put in my mailbox and they won’t do anything about it so im just out of my things nothing can be done someone isn’t doing their job and everyone else just echas to except it

I love the Barstow Post Office.I have a PO Box and am a regular visitor. Many times when the Counter Personnel are busy someone will come from the back & assist the customers picking up mail.There have been days I cannot find a package that was delivered to me & accidentally given to the mail carrier; however, they are extremely professional & courteous — retrieving my package & even getting it off the carrier’s truck.I have personally witnessed many irate customers getting loud & yelling @ the Counter Personnel. The employees stay calm and in many times de-escalate the situation & calm the customers downI truly appreciate the Barstow USPS Team.God Bless & Stay Safe

I was supposed to have 2 packages delivered. They deliver one but not the other because they ran into a problem. Theyre probably lazy and didnt want to carry it up the stairs. Which if thats the case they need a new job!

One of the worst postal offices Ive ever been to and seen late package delivery can be sometimes rude but mostly pleasant their service is just unreliable and their workers need a big upgrade

Dont read addresses on packages and hands them off to the wrong people. We have lost 80% of our packages because the carrier marks it delivered w/o delivering them.

Every time I go out of town, I have my mail held... and every single time, it takes 3-4 days after the day when the hold mail should end for my held mail to actually be delivered. I end up having to go by the post office to get my mail, especially if its packages, including prescription refills. Why cant my held mail be delivered on the day its supposed to be without my having to do something extra every time?

This is THE worst post office and carriers I have ever had the misfortune of being a part of. Packages not delivered even though the carrier says she did but my neighbor said she never saw her delivered it. This has happened several times but when confronting them about it they act like its nothing...the last I knew its a FEDERAL OFFENCE to mess with the US mail! Mail is continually being put on the wrong boxes. We finally got so desperate to get our mail we started having it delivered General delivery, but even that doesnt work because of the extreme laziness or low competence of the people working there. Nearly every time we go to pick up our mail, we have to send them back a second time to find the package...does anyone of any worth read these reviews? Good grief, you would think something would be done by now!! 😠😠😠

I have been sitting in my kitchen next to my door and the road you must drive past to deliver packages for the last hour and no one has come by but suddenly I get notice they attempted delivery 10 minutes ago and I wasnt home. No one has even driven by at all this morning even to leave their home. No one tried to deliver anything. Then I try to call and theres over an hour wait to talk to someone in a call center. 😡😡

Seriously???? Who driving mail truck is lazy and not attention all wrong addresses dropping off at anywhere houses in my mailbox. I got the wrong names and numbers all on time. PLEASE PAY YOUR EYES TO ATTENTION ON NAMES AND ADDRESSES! I KEPT TO TAKE THEM BACK IN THE MAILBOX AGAIN AND AGAIN. PLEASE BUY YOUR OWN GLASSES!!!AND, Missing mail too. Went to this USPS branch today. Unlike many other negative reviews, I had a really good experience there. It was fast and the staff were nice. They even greeted me with Sorry for the wait when I didnt even wait that long.

There is an older woman that works there named Marie. Shes very rude. I went to this location to pick up a package for my child yesterday morning. I just recently moved here. Someone has been tampering with my mailbox, at my apartment, so I thought it would be best to have all of my mail forwarded to the post office in the meantime. This is obviously a mistake as well, with people like Marie working there and their complete and total lack of customer service. She had no idea that Im a volunteer guide for Google and I have been for almost two years. Im not exactly sure why shes so rude and dismissive towards me, especially when I am standing there with my child, however, her ignorance and very poor attitude should be documented. She is very unprofessional, in my opinion. Please be aware.

My mailman keeps putting my packages in someone else’s mail box. It’s very annoying not having a reliable mail box. I will have them hold my packages from now on.

Their mail carriers are super lazy. Will not pick up mail out of the mail box for days really wish they could care about their job.

CAME TO TRACK a package I never received, spoke with a supv., she said she would call me back... she never did. My package, a purchase says delivered 7/19 I NEVER GOT MY PACKAGE...I am angry and getting very irate... the people in the office, and the carriers are all very nice, but this post office is very unprofessional. Being nice is not enough, I want my package, or a refund of the money i spent on the item. I want my package...If I have a problem, and a supv., says she will call me... I wait for that call. I dont spend money on items just to have to post office lose my package, and not try to find and deliver.

2 stars for nice staff...but zero stars for poor service. stopped my mail for a moving transfer 3.5 weeks too soon and now my pay check and my daughters online order are lost somewhere. I need my paycheck like 2 weeks ago. But nobody can help me or anything because they said its probably in forwarding motion...umm cant you call someone for that? its been 15 days now. Really aggravated.

This Post Office is so unprofessional. In my opinion, it seems like they make up their own rules & DONT follow the companies policy on a lot of things. I went to pick up mail box keys 3 times. Not only did the counter clerk tell me we not sure where the keys are, theyre not labeled & the guy in control of that isnt here. The supervisor C.A. told me the same thing. Why is there only 1 person that knows the whereabouts of all the mailbox keys? Its been almost 2 weeks I havent had my mail. Rent due & late because they dont know where my mailbox keys are... So am I suppose to get EVECTED because they misplace my .Mailbox keys & i cant get my check Thats in the mail??? Can we say court 👀??

Lost a package . never got a call back from the supervisor Like i was promised . and the mail carrier had lied and said she had left it with individual . ...Dont know how that is cause i was home all day .... poor service ...

Worst that I have ever have with any USPS they have lost my packages and not only that also took a very important package to the wrong house and had someone else sigh it and cat get it back saying that they arent no longer responsible cause someone sigh it not only did I loss my money multiple times like that also my packages this post office has the worst and very irresponsible workers I have ever seen they dont knock they dont ask for ID or ask if the person that they are delivering to actually lives there and they dont make sure if they are doing the job right how would they like if if they mail got lost Im sure they wouldnt like it cause I sure dont mail is very important and they need to get theyre act together and make sure they all do the job right if not find someone that will because again this are peoples mails/packages no one likes having missing or misplace mail no one specially if its something very important

Talk to a guy over the phone about a missing package and he was very professional and very nice explained everything well, should be a supervisor.

The Barstow Post Office makes me cringe! My 80 year old grandfather went there to find out what to do about his mail box being broken into and vandalized every week for the past 3 months. The gentleman he spoke with told him that he needs to speak with the Barstow City Council or go to the top of the street and wait for the mail man to come. Now why would someone be that insensitive and tell an 80 year old man to wait at the top of the street for the mail man? I thought that people stealing your mail and vandalizing mailboxes was a federal offense. For its lack of empathy, this Post Office does not deserve even one STAR!!!!

Worst office Ive had to deal with..ever. Claims to knock when signature requested but even when home i heard nothing. Expected a re delivery next day and dont even show so now have to wait til week day to get my package. Poor service!

Ive gotten my mail out the box today and my pharmacy delivery package was open and Ive been on hold waiting for someone to pick up the phone there. Already called police. This package was open and the mailman wasnt 3 blocks down the road. No one answers the phone .I was told between 45 and a hour and six minutes. Ive been on here a hour and 14 minutes so far .

Like you have another choice. After waiting for the massed unwashed hordes of Barstow bring unpacked, unsealed boxes to ship, you get the most by the book workers hit with a bad case of confusion. Id rather go to the DMV...

The worst post office I have ever dealt with, they lost my package and when I called I was told well thats the mail service for you and on a second occasion they left my package in a broken community post box and offered no assistance to retrieve my package until the next time I hopefully catch the mailman, they are very unprofessional and do not care about their customers.

I had two packages shipped from here to NC with 2 day shipping. One of the packages was delivered on time and the other one is nowhere to be found. Its been a week and the package is still MIA. When I called the lady was no help, she took my information and said she would look into it and reach back out to me. I havent heard anything since.

It seems like mail doesn’t come on Wednesday’s anymore. Three Wednesday’s in a row, no mail truck down my street. Neighbors also confirmed, no mail. Has there been budget cuts?

Their customer service is horrible, I called up there to ask a question and the woman who I spoke to on the phone with was very rude

The United States Postal Service service is very bad the mailman that provides the service and that makes the route through the Barstow CA Motels; Main path; when you arrive at Plaza Hotel. This man always arrives at night; at 7 or 8:30 at night. We dont want it to arrive at those hours; He throws the mail through the hole in the office door; and when one is going to deliver the letters of the people who do not live here; He does not receive them in hand; makes you put them on the stairs when you leave the office; and grabs them with courage and very annoying; Saying many things in an annoying way in English. People like that shouldnt work like that in these postal companies; since they give a very bad image to the company. Please keep in mind. Thank you. Improve a lot.
