My husband and I got a couples massage here after a weekend of hiking and it was amazing. They were so friendly and polite, extremely professional, and really knew what they were doing. They had helpful tips and tricks for after the massage as well. Well worth it!

Amy gave me the most satisfying massage Ive had in a long time. She used techniques that were new to me that I really liked, and I felt like my soreness from hiking and biking was really loosened up. I felt very comfortable and relaxed throughout my session. The few times I asked for slightly less pressure, Amy immediately adjusted to my comfort level. Tree of Life Spa is primarily a lovely massage establishment. And I HAD THE BEST MASSAGE there. I’m not sure why it lists hair cutting and color and make up. I didn’t see any of that. Anyway I was VERY HAPPY with my massage!!!!!! You will be very lucky if you get Amethyst. She is top notch! I was in terrible pain and didn’t know how I was going to get on a plane the next day. Amethyst got me walking normally AND relieved the back spasms. Whew. She has the magic touch!!!

Taking a moment for ourselves as a couple at the Tree of Life Day Spa in Acadia was one of the BEST decisions of our vacation! We did the Couple Spa Siesta Package, that included 60 min massages for each of us (me prenatal and my husband the deep tissue) + tea room break + hydrotherapy foot bath, scrub, and massage.The staff was incredibly easy to connect with ahead of time (we emailed back and forth quickly!) and wonderful day of. We scheduled our appointment at the end of our trip after a week of hiking and biking and omg SO WORTH IT. Loved it and would 100% recommend!

Parking is available which was a huge plus snd the staff were very professional. A little pricey, but I guess that’s to be expected in the middle of bar harbor.

Both my daughter and I enjoyed a massage, and it was world class. You wouldn’t find a better massage if you Went to Eslan in Big Sur.Very intuitive, and very knowledgeable- my daughter had just done a 22 day backpacking trip and everything hurt. The massage was so healing, and she felt so much better the next day.I was dealing with a lower back issue, and the owner did some intense acupressure, and the next morning, and since, I have not felt any pain there. They were also very relaxing massages, and we slept very well that night. So Greatful.

This facial changed my perspective though! She took the time to understand what I wanted and what my skin was like, then the facial itself was very relaxing and enjoyable. Tree of Life was an awesome experience. My wife and I finished our trip to Acadia today and went hiking the last few days. I had a hydofoot massage today with Phil and it felt excellent. I felt taken care of and it was a very relaxing experience. The temperature shock going from hot to cold was a bit startling the first time but I was used to it the second switch. I enjoyed the complementary tea room afterwards as well. This massage is a great choice to do after a day or two hike in the park as it is great value for the service. Afterwards, I wanted to get a full body massage as well. If I did not book so last minute I would have tried to prolong my highly satisfying experience.

I’ve had many massages, but this experience was amazing. Phillip did such a wonderful job. He gave me some stretching exercises to alleviate tightness in concentrated areas. He worked on all the areas that needed extra attention. I highly recommend this business. I will definitely come back when I return to Maine.

I’m not typically a review writer but I am not lying when i say that this was the best massage I’ve ever experienced. Before I even begin to explain how amazing the massage was I do want to point out that this is my first massage since covid and the place was spotless. From entering it was completely health code friendly. They are surely doing what they can to keep everyone safe and healthy! Phil was my masseuse and he was phenomenal. The minute I walked in, extremely professional we talked about my job and what causes my back pain. It’s hard to explain but the light stretching with the intense massage was all I needed after weeks of working 50-60 hours + behind a bar. This place is a gem!

Very kind staff but the ambiance is not great. Perhaps because of Covid, the table is very basic, not especially comfortable, and the sheets are thin (was chilly in the room and needed to ask for a blanket). We had a couples massage — both massage therapists were patient and receptive but I think we needed to give more feedback throughout. Unfortunately we were both underwhelmed and did not feel it was money well spent.

Kiana gave me the best massage experience Ive ever had. She was very personable and took note of intensity and pressure throughout to make sure it was what I was looking for as well as holding great conversation when it was wanted. I felt very comfortable and left incredibly happy with my experience. Will probably be making the 3 hour drive again just for this. Kudos.

Got a pretty good massage here but had a strange entrance and end of massage experience. When I came in I didnt feel like I was very warmly greeted and they didnt have the proper paperwork for me to fill out. My massage ended very abruptly with the therapist announcing were done, thank you then left the room. I wasnt sure if I was supposed to get dressed or what. Ive never had that experience before and it was a bit jarring, removing some of the relaxation I had experienced.

I had a lime coconut foot bath. I have regular pedicures where I live so I know what gentle foot massage feels like. This was NOT what I call a gentle feel good foot massage.There was very little lotion used both on my feet legs or hands. She used a combination of Swedish and deep tissues massage and it didnt feel good at all. Im used to soft gentle circular massage. It actually hurtme because of the deep penetrating VERY slow controlled movements against practically dry skin( very little lotion used)Also they have you lay down on a table, bend your knees and put your feet laying flat over these stones in a very awkward uncomfortable position in hot scalding water. When I mentioned it she added some cool water but I was still in an uncomfortable position.The massage therapist was a sweet lady and very nice but I closed my eyes and couldnt wait till it was over as I didnt enjoy it at all. Plus it cost $80 . Way overpriced for what I got.i ended up coming back to my room and had my husband massage my feet. We had hiked the entire previous day at Jordan Pond and I was so looking forward to a good foot massage but left very disappointed.

Easy scheduling and a wonderful massage!

I do not recommend this spa because I scheduled an appointment a day in advance, which was approved, reconfirmed the next morning, then cancelled when I arrived. The owner does not deliver on commitments. I came to visit Bar Harbor and was really sore from traveling so I booked an appointment for a massage for the morning after I got into town. I got a call from the owner an hour before my 10:15 appointment asking if I could come at a later time due to “personnel issues.” I informed him that would not work as I already had other activities booked that day. He assured me that I could still come at my originally scheduled time. I then get a text at 10:00am asking if I could come 10 minutes later than my scheduled time due to his massage therapist being late, which was fine. After arrival I filled out the paperwork, then was informed that he had to cancel my massage. At that point it was too late to schedule anywhere else. I was with a group and we had many events planned. The entire point of booking this massage was so that I could enjoy my day without being sore and which did not occur due to this issue. I was very frustrated and disappointed. I later learned there are many other spas in town that deliver on their promise so I would recommend choosing somewhere else. Harborside Hotel Spa was amazing!

My husband and I have been visiting Maine for our past 3 vacations; and for the past 2, weve stayed near Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. If you are looking to reinforce all the beauty that surrounds you in Bar Harbor with a truly relaxing massage and uplifting facial, call Tree of Life right now and book yourself a couple hours of treatments - you will be glad you did and you will definitely leave feeling refreshed.I first visited Tree of Life in 2016 where I booked a deep tissue massage and facial, both of which were perfect. I raved about my experience so much that my family purchased a very generous gift certificate for me for my 40th birthday. If Tree of Life was closer than the 12 hour drive from Buffalo to Bar Harbor, I would have driven there much sooner to redeem the gift certificate because this is absolutely the best place to relax, unwind and pamper yourself.In 2017, I booked a 90 minute deep tissue massage and a Chocolate and Cherries facial, both with Kiana. Both were perfect.Ive been getting deep tissue massages for over 10 years. I have a desk job and suffer from migraines so I need my therapists to gently work up to very deep pressure to work on trigger points and deep knots. Kiana asked how much pressure Id like and my standard response of feel free to beat me with a tire iron was accepted and definitely delivered. Its been at least two weeks since the massage and I still feel fantastic!After the massage, I put a comfy robe on, drank a glass of water, and waited in the Tea Room while Kiana prepared the room for my facial.I chose the Chocolate & Cherries facial and wish I could have one of these weekly! It was amazing! My skin tingled just enough to know the products were working, the hot towels felt wonderful and every product used was explained. My 40 year old skin was glowing after the facial, and the selfie I posted on Facebook afterwards to memorialize this beautiful day received many compliments - including many that said it certainly doesnt look like my skin is 40 years old. We all know thats the best compliment anyone 40 and over can receive. The product line used here is Ilike (ee-lee-ka) which is the parent company of Eminence. Ive had both Eminence and Ilike facials and while both are great, Ilike was astonishing. I plan to order some of their products after this experience at Tree of Life to keep people guessing my age!Kiana and I chatted through the whole experience and thats my preference. I like to get to know my therapists and aestheticians, because for me it enriches the experience and when traveling, local business owners always have the BEST recommendations.I would repeatedly and highly recommend a trip to Tree of Life. It is clean, quiet, relaxing and every client is treated respectfully and beautifully so you can have a divine day of pampering at the spa.Dont bother looking for anywhere other than Tree of Life to treat yourself. And if youre local to Bar Harbor, be sure you are visiting often - you will ALWAYS feel fantastic!
